I was on "vacation" this week- the university gives us one week between quarters. All I did was sleep and relax! Yesterday, my boyfriend's parents arrived in Miami so we had dinner with them at this delicious argentinian restaurant. This is what I wore- I really wanted to wear this sweater again but this time with colorful jeans. Also, I added a simple tube top underneath so it wasn't see-through. Esta semana he estado de vacaciones- apenas nos dieron una semana- lo que he hecho es dormir y descansar (más bien demasiado!). Ayer llegaron los papás de mi novio de visita y fuimos a comer a un restaurante argentino. Esto fue lo que me puse: quise combinar el suéter que vieron la semana pasada con unos jeans rojos. Pero le agregué una camisa negra abajo para que no se transparentara nada. Una vez más, gracias por sus comentarios y por visitar el blog! I wasn't sure if I should publish this look for 2 reasons- first, it was extremely dark outside and the pictures didn't come out as I wanted to; second, I feel like you must be tired of seeing me wearing button ups +necklaces ( I just wanted to make it look a little more formal). I wore this outfit to have dinner with my bf a couple of days ago but you can also wear something like this to work/corporate party/school presentation (just make sure the skirt is a little longer!). I'm  sorry for the lack of pics! :) It's almost FRIDAY.. have a great weekend! XOXO
No estaba segura si publicar este look por dos razones- la primera es que el 98% de las fotos salieron extremadamente oscuras, la segunda es que no las quiero aburrir. He estado utilizando las camisas abotonadas hasta el cuello varias veces, pero estaba súper antojada de usarlo en un look más "formal" con una falda negra. Este outfit lo usé para ir a cenar con mi novio hace unos días- lo bueno es que si usas una falda un poquito más larga, puedes usarlo para la oficina/fiesta corporativa/presentación en la uní/etc. Disculpen que sean tan pocas fotitos! Ya casi es VIERNES.. feliz fin de semana!!

A couple of weeks ago, I got an email from the PR company from Wrigley (think Skittles, Starburst, Lifesavers, Orbit gum, Altoids, and more). And they challenge me to create a look or a fashion tip inspired by these candy- my sweet tooth was so excited about the box filled with candy (and I loved the idea of getting inspired by candy- I believe inspiration is EVERYWHERE)! When I opened it, the first thing that got my attention were the new lifesavers- they are two different flavors and colors. I was inspired to try a different color-block combo (turquoise and yellow). But here's the best part... they also offered me a Rebecca Minkoff bag (valued at $295) - but I decided to give it away to my amazing readers because I never find the words to say how thankful I am for all the love and support. Hace unas semanas me llegó un email de la compañía de Relaciones Públicas de Wrigley (que incluye caramelos como Skittles, Starburst, Lifesavers, chicles Orbits, mentas Altoids y más). Y me desafiaron a crear un look inspirado en cualquiera de estos caramelos- me encantan los dulces así que cuando llegó una cajita llena de caramelos me emocioné toda! Aparte que me encantó la idea del reto, yo considero que nos podemos inspirar de todo lo que nos rodea. Cuando abrí la caja, lo primero que me llamó la atención fue un paquete de gomitas Lifesavers que son de dos colores (mitad y mitad)- y me sentí súper inspirada por la combinación amarillo y turquesa, de manera que quise rercrearlo en bloques de color. Lo mejor de todo es que también me ofrecieron una cartera REBECCA MINKOFF (hermosa!) para mi o para ustedes- pero decidí rifarla entre mis seguidoras porque nunca encuentro como agradecerles por tanto cariño y apoyo. La rifa la voy a publicar más tardecita, así que no olviden regresar! Un abrazo inmenso!

Like I said last week, I really want to show that Miami is more than beaches and shopping- there are amazing places... like this one. The last time I visited this "museum and garden" was in 2007 so I was super excited of going again, I love it because you feel you are in a totally different place.Vizcaya was the winter residence of American industrialist James Deering from Christmas 1916 until his death in 1925. When it was built, the Miami population was around 10,000 and 1,000 were working on this project! The house was intended to appear as an Italian estate that had stood for 400 years and had been occupied and renovated by several generations of a family. It has 34 decorated rooms with 15th through 19th century antique furnishings and art objects. Sadly, you can't take pictures inside the house but the gardens and the bay view is GORGEOUS! I think I have a slight obsession with maxi dresses- they are so comfortable, look chic, and they are perfect for this hot weather. I felt in love with this leopard print- so I decided to wear it with simple black accessories so it would still be the center of attention of this outfit. When I was stepping out of my house, I grabbed the hat because I felt like it needed something. My day started picking one of my best friends from Venezuela at the airport- I only saw her for a couple of hours because she had a connecting flight. Later at night, my boyfriend and I headed to a friend's casual party- nothing special. I hope you had an amazing weekend! XOXO

As I told you on the previous post, this friday I had my last final- it was one of my favorite classes: History of Fashion I. I wore this sweater to the test but with black jeans because it's so cold there. However, I got home so early (it wasn't even 10 am) that I went back to sleep and when I woke up, I wanted to make this outfit "miami friendly". I saw these vintage D&G on my closet and I thought they were perfect to make this outfit completely "cream and black- but I wanted to add a pop of color with a bright-pink lipstick. Later, we had dinner at a sushi place where they have the best chicken rolls! Thanks for stopping by! XOXO

If this dress looks familiar, it's because you already saw it in black (click here to see how I wore it). They were around $15 each- I almost got it in another color. I love maxi dresses for multiple reasons- specially because of their versatility; you can dress them up or down for multiple occasions. Since I spent most of my Wednesdays at school, I wanted to wear something comfortable but chic. To make it more casual I added a denim vest and a colorful necklace. I had my last final on Friday, I can't believe my first quarter in fashion school is over- can't wait to start in two weeks again. For now, I'll just enjoy my mini-brek!
