I’ve lived in Miami for 10 years and I cannot believe I JUST went to my first NBA Game!

I know it can be tempting to watch from home but the energy in the American Airlines Arena is absolutely electrifying, and it feels great to root for your city.  Plus, you never know if you are witnessing a history-making slam dunk in real like. It can be a fun-date with your boo or a fun time with your friends!

I love how sports can bring together groups of people no matter what! While planning to go with a few friends, the girls had no idea what to wear. This got me thinking  “ok, I have to do a ‘what to wear to an NBA game’ . These types of articles were always my favorite to do when I started blogging because I love talking about real situations, real tips, real fashion, real girls!

It’s time to show your TEAM SPIRIT
You don’t necessarily have to wear your team’s jersey but come on, it’s the perfect time to do it and wear it proudly (either if they win or loose!).

For the two looks I’m showing you, I’m wearing the Miami Heat NBA Women’s Jersey. I thought it would be fun to show you two different ways to style it. Either with a cute pair of distressed boyfriend jeans or as a dress if you are feeling a little girly.

Stay COMFORTABLE- preferably in Sneakers
I love heels, but it’s time to have the time of your life (and I don’t know about your local stadium but the stairs at the AAA are steep and scary when wearing heels!!).  So rock your favorite pair of sneakers to a ball game. Here I’m wearing the Nike Sportswear's Air Force 1  and I’m loving them- so comfortable and FULL of style.

Talking about comfort, bring a small cross-body bag. It will be easier for security and you will only carry what you really need; aka, your cellphone, credit card, ID, and emergency cash!

Bring a denim jacket, a bomber, or a leather jacket. It adds another fashion layer to help you show your style. Sometimes it can get a little cold inside but if you are too excited jumping around for your team, you can always tie it around your waist.

For that full sporty look, add a baseball cap! Extra points if it’s suede or velvet!
Don’t be afraid to wear your fashionable glasses, these clear aviators are always a great extra touch!

What would you wear to a basketball game?
Let me know which of the two looks is your favorite.

Thanks to Nike & Reward Style for partnering with me in this post. Thank you all for supporting the brands that keep Nany going.

Long-Lost-Files from BOSTON this SUMMER

Saturday, November 25, 2017

The past few months, I have not been the blogger- and that's okay. At the end, that's the beauty of it.  This is our choice, we decide how often to blog, how much to share, and as long as we love it.

These pictures are from last Summer, we went to Boston for a wedding and we had so much fun exploring it.

So here's a little update from things I've shared on Instagram.

Changes are coming to the blog! www.nanyramirez.com already works and takes you to this page and now I am @Nany on Instagram. The opportunity to change my last name came and I had to take it!

I don't want you guys to think Nany's Klozet will "diet", it is EXPANDING. Nany's Klozet will still be the fashion section. I'm open to ideas, topics, anything you would like to see. I want NANY to be "closer", I want to share the "not-so-perfect" moments, blogging tips, more lifestyle, more travel. What do you guys think?

This is my second time wearing this maxi dress as a top...the first one was during Swim Week but I went for leather shorts and a strappy bralette for an edgier feel. Click here to check it out.

I definitely have to wear it as an actual dress next time. But there is something about it that feels a little "old"lady, I think it's the neckline. But I'm sure I'll wear it a coverup for the beach! REMIX coming soon!! Actually, more remixes for 2018 FOR SURE!

This was during our little runaway trip because of the hurricane. We had the best road trip buddies: Alex and Gaby. Best "fashion" part? Because of the small luggage, we got to share clothes. These are Gaby's vintage shorts!

This is one of my favorite looks from later this year. What do you think?

Over the past two years, it has been an absolute pleasure to partner with a brand I love, Hanes, for their #BeComfydent campaign. It’s simple: you can achieve anything when you are confident + comfortable. When you are “comfydent,” you shine.

As the temperatures go down, you might also start to feel a little down too. So let’s find ways to boost our self esteem, and feel “comfydent” no matter how cold it is outside.

#1 First layer
The first layer is always the most important: UNDERWEAR. If I’m wearing uncomfortable underwear, believe me, my confidence is GONE. My ultimate fave: Hanes Cool Comfort® Microfiber Hister Panties. They stay in place and move with you for all day comfort. Now you can add any thermal, leggings, pants, or anything that will make you feel like you can conquer the world.

#2 Forget about the beauty standards
Don’t let the media define how you feel about yourself. Stop comparing yourself to others. Don’t let anyone make you feel like you should be a certain size or look X way. All that matters is how proud you are with yourself. So go ahead, when it comes to clothes, forget about the size and just focus on how it makes you feel.

#3 Invest in a few winter accessories
The easiest way to update any seasonal wardrobe is by getting a few trendy accessories. No need to go crazy with a whole new wardrobe. Get a pair of statement earrings (perfect since your arms and neckline are covered) that will work amazingly for any Holiday party; or a trendy scarf that will go perfect with your favorite coat; or even a fun hat.

#4 Don’t forget to workout & eat right
I know it’s tempting to hibernate during the winter, eat yummy foods and avoid exercising. However remember what they say “summer bodies are made in the winter.” If it’s too hard to exercise outside, there are so many amazing workouts you can find online and you don't even have to leave your living room.  We all know that physical activity boosts our happy hormones; so say yes to a happier, healthier, and more confident YOU.

#5 Break all the Fashion Rules:
Your real sense of style kicks in when you are wearing clothes that you feel comfortable and confident in. I could tell you to go ahead and avoid wearing leggings and a hoodie, but I’m going to say JUST the opposite. Like in the pictures above, I’m wearing Hanes Sport Women's Performance Leggings and the EcoSmart® Women’s Full-Zip Hoodie Sweatshirt

The trick to make it a little more put-together is to add glam touches; I went for a classic nude coat, burgundy lips, and a timeless flap bag. So I can go ahead and do all my errands during the winter but I'm as comfortable as I’ll ever be.

#6 Pamper yourself:
Because of changing season, you might feel your skin is drier and your hair is more brittle.  The good news is that since it’s cold outside, you have time to pamper yourself- step up that beauty routine! Have fun moisturizing your skin (remember dry areas like heels and elbows) and deep conditioning your hair. Check out all the amazing DIY you can find on Instagram.

#7 Socialize
Ok it might not be picnics at the park. But make fun winter plans with your friends. It can be ice-skating, doing a cookie bake-off, or even just binging your favorite shows online.

#8 Stand tall and smile.
Happy body language instantly makes you feel better about yourself according to several studies. It reduces cortisol and boosts self-confidence.

#9 Pop of color
I know we tend to associate winter with dark colors or, well, no color at all. But even if you are tempted to wear all black, don’t be afraid to wear your favorite color. It will instantly bright up your mood. Lately I’ve seen some beautiful colorful coats that are going to make you smile. If you prefer to invest in dark winter gear, add color to your lips. It’s the easiest way and you will feel glam, beautiful, and powerful. My go-tos no matter the weather are a bright red or a mysterious burgundy.

#10 Read an inspirational book
Now that we have worked on your body, social skills, and wardrobe…it’s time to feed the soul with confidence. Take advantage of the weather, and curl up on the sofa and read an inspiration book. I’ve read a few that have changed my life in little ways. After reading them you will feel extra inspired for absolutely anything.

What are your secret to stay COMFYDENT no matter the weather outside?

Share them with us! Thank you to Hanes for partnering with me on this post.

Your real sense of style kicks in when you are wearing clothes that you feel confident in; when you stop trying too hard and just start being YOU.

I’ve been sharing my personal style for 7 years and I’ve had tried many trends and styles and I’ve found some great sites. Today I want to tell you about this new site called ELEVTD , a shoes.com company. They are dedicated to choosing the top fashion forward pieces from top designers and cutting edge brands. My whole look from today is from there and I loved how highly curated the site was.

and.. I have 3 style rules that I want to share with you today:

1. The key is purchasing versatile pieces:
Before adding anything to my online cart or trying it on. I think of at least three ways I could wear that item. Remember, versatility doesn’t mean boring. On the contrary, look for cool details that make a piece unique. For example, I’m loving the tie in the back on this Kendall+Kylie grey sweater- a stylish twist in a classic piece that works with everything.

2. Don’t be afraid to invest
You work hard, you deserve to treat yourself. My weakness when it comes to luxe items: shoes and bags. I fell in love with these Ferragamo fringe sandals; they are chic and sophisticated. I’m loving the rose gold detail and the fringe detail. These are going to be my Holiday-party go-to, but they also look incredible with jeans (see, versatile, unique and luxe!)

Less is more- and quality over quantity any day of the week!

3. Forget about sizes
We need to stop comparing ourself with what we see online, in magazines..and even in our past selves. Wear what makes you feel BEST- and the size, that’s just a number. For example, when it comes to boyfriend jeans (like this amazing Rag & Bone pair I’m wearing right here.), I like going a size up and the fit is always so much better!

What’s your #1 style rule?

Always reaching for the stars

Friday, November 10, 2017

Because without dark...we would never see the stars.

My friend Gaby from VoguishDiet started this fun hashtag #SheDidntShave (in Spanish but let's make it happen in English too) because, let's be honest: over the knee socks and boots are lifesavers when we want to wear short skirts but we simply don't feel like shaving🙌🏼. Raise your hand if you have ever done this! No shame!🙋🏻🙋🏽🙋🏾🙋🏿🙋🏼

Wearing a mini bag as a fanny pack

Turning my favorite red mini bag into a fanny pack ♥️ how do you feel about this trend?

Sacándole provecho a una de mis carteras mini favoritas ♥️ esta vez, la amarré como un koala (o canguro o riñonera 🤣🤣) ¿que les parece esta tendencia noventosa?

HOLIDAY GIFT IDEA: The perfect beauty set

Saturday, November 4, 2017

Sponsored by Belk and ShopStyle. All opinions are my own.

My Oh My. The Holidays are right around the corner and I couldn’t be more excited. I love it everything about this time of the year: the decorations, the music, the smell, the parties…and of course, the gifting.

Every year I find myself buying all my Holiday gifts last-minute- NO MORE! It’s never too early to start thinking about Holiday gifts. I’ve noticed that I have a thing for gifting (and gifting myself) beauty products. Every woman deserves a little pampering AND you don’t have to worry about what size she is, if it’ll fit or if it’s her style.

I personally love gifting beauty sets, and I’m loving the variety of Beauty Sets that Belk is offering this season. You will find everything for every lovely woman in your life: for the mom who is all about skincare, the sister that could wear a different lipstick every day of the year, and your friend who collects perfumes ( I don’t know how or why but I basically fit in all those categories #Beautyobsessed for sure!)

But out of all the sets, there was one that instantly caught my eye because of it’s great value, and because it is such a high quality brand: the Lancôme Parisian Holiday Case.
