First of all, I completely admit this look was inspired by Anabelle from Viva Luxury. As a fashion blogger and blogger addict, I spent A LOT of time on bloglovin and lookbook.nu- and I take a lot of inspiration from there (the important thing is making it your own!). As soon as I saw this look from Anabelle, I saved it since I had very similar pieces in my closet and I loved how the casual neon shorts look more polished when paired with a classic and structured blazer (and I'm obsessed with the round sunnies..they totally complete the look). I wore this during the weekend to a restaurant for one of my best friend's birthday- I was the only girl there but I love it.. I think I get along better with guys- they always end up telling the craziest stories and they think I'm one of the "boys". I hope you are having an amazing week! XOXO

The floral blazer...

You know how much I love versatile clothing, but lately I've been drawn to riskier pieces- like this fun floral blazer! They might be harder to "remix" but they challenge me to be a little more creative. Since the blazer is such an statement, I kept the look simple with a leather short, a white top, and a pop of color in the bag. I didn't even want to add a lot of accessories; the sunglasses and the cocktail ring were more than enough. Talking about my sunglasses: aren't they amazing? They look just like the Prada "Baroque" minus the price tag of $290 - these only cost $15, and if you are like me (I'm always loosing or scratching my sunnies)...they are the perfect mix of trendy and affordability **Head over to Furor Moda to check them out, they also have it in red, navy and purple**. Back to my day: this is what I wore to Flor and Carmen's fashion seminar- it was amazing, I'm so proud of them! They are going to have several seminaries around the U.S. so stay tuned; I might be a guest speaker for one of them! Hope you like this floral assemble. Thanks for your amazing comments!

Floral and cut-outs!

This is the second time you see these floral shorts, I wore them to the Bal Harbour brunch during Swim Week ( I wore them with a mustard top). This time I really wanted to pair the shorts with this small terracotta bag- I didn't want to add to many colors so I just went with fun black top with cutouts. Talking about purses, recently I'm obsessed with smaller shoulder bags- they make you take only the neccessary: the wallet, lipstick, keys, and your cellphone (I feel like the bigger the bag, the more unnecessary things we add). This top is actually more like a tunic- but since the fabric is very light I didn't have any problem tucking it in. About my day: I run some errands and then I got together with a couple of friends to watch the opening ceremony of the Olympics (my favorite part is definitely Gymnastics- specially because I did gymnastics for about 8 years when I was little). Hope you liked the look! Thanks for stopping by!

__________

Hey everyone! Hope you are having an amazing weekend! One of the best things about blogging has been meeting so many amazing people...including my big sis and blogger bestie:Flor de Maria. She was in Miami for a couple of days since she gave a fashion seminar with Carmen from Viva Fashion. On Friday, I picked up Flor from the airport- then we headed to my house to get ready, and play dress up as usual (she ended up wearing one of my skirts and I borrowed her necklace). Then we picked up Tatiana and had a late lunch at this amazing ceviche restaurant called "Ceviche 105"- Flor says that it's the best ceviche she has eaten in a while... so we totally recommend it. About my outfit: I was dying to wear this asymmetrical top from 2020Ave (since I'm petite, it works as a dress when I don't tuck it in- like pictured). I decided to go a little grungy with the booties and the hat! I hope you liked it! XOXO **btw big thanks to Tati for being our photographer of the day**

¡Hola a todas!

Belleza L'Oreal Dinner!

Friday, July 27, 2012

Photobucket

On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to go to an event/dinner with other hispanic bloggers and media thanks to L'Oreal- my day started at the university and I knew I wasn't going to have time to go back home and change... I just grabbed the first thing I saw: the perfect pair of floral pants, a bright royal blue shirt, and black heels. It was actually very funny, I ended up changing and curling my hair in the bathroom of the hotel's restaurant. After that, I went up to the L'Oreal suite- I had an appointment to get my nails done and all the bloggers were either doing their nails/hair or make up. I also had the change to chat with celebrity stylists and make-up artist, Claudia Betancur and Marcos Carrasquillo- who gave us a lot of tips and introduced us to new products. I can't wait to try the L'Oreal BB cream- which hydrates, corrects, primes, evens, and more- and I really loved the new nail polishes that are supposed to last 10 days (now I just need to be more patient and actually do my nails). After that, we headed to the hotel's restaurant and we had the most amazing dinner I had in a while... and the best part, catching up with the Latina bloggers! I hope you enjoy the pictures! XOXO

Orange & Celeste

After the "Swim Week" craziness, I just wanted to be comfy and not even care about what the humidity did to my hair....so frizzy! It was raining like craz and it wasn't that hot, perfect timing to wear this knitted sweater. I actually wore this sweater with black jeans to school, but this time I wanted to add a little more color with some orange shorts and I kept the rest of the look simple with nude accessories. I wore this to go to a Brazilian restaurant called BrazaViva; to anyone living/visiting Miami, I completely recommend it. The quality of the food/meat is very similar to Texas de Brasil- but it's only around $30 (all you can eat meat, salad, and side dishes). I went with my dad, who was visiting me, and Gabo- we had so much fun! I hope you liked this look after all the dressed up ones from Swim Week! XOXO

REMIX: crochet shorts!

I absolutely LOVE these crochet shorts (Still available at Oasap for just $31 ); and I can't wait to wear them again and again. As you can see, they are very versatile; you can wear them with heels, oxfords, and flats. Also because of its neutral color , it can be worn with ANY color (including brights and denim). Let me know which way is you favorite so far! XOXO.

Vogue Brasil's Miami issue launch

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

This is my last post from Mercedes Benz Fashion Week- even though it was amazing, I'm glad to go back to my fashion classes and just cuddling with my doggie Chiki. The non-stopping rain stopped me from going to a couple of shows on Sunday but I decided to put my hair up and head out to the launch of Vogue Brasil magazine. It was still so hot outside during the night that I decided to wear a little black dress with a cool open back- to finish the look, I added some color blocking sandals that I got last year and a little pops of color with the pink bag and the orange lipstick. There we met my Swim Week partner-in-crime, Steffy and her boyfriend. I also got to hang out with some friends from college I haven't seen in ages. I hope you liked this look! Thanks for stopping by! XOXO

______________

SWIM WEEK: Day 4

Monday, July 23, 2012

Photobucket

And here's the recap of my fourth day at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim- even though there were a couple of parties starting at noon, I arrived to South Beach around 5pm for a Tory Burch event. The hotel was beautiful and the models kept changing for us to preview the collection (btw one of the models was Mikaela from America's Next Top Model...yes, guilty pleasure -I still watch that show). After that we headed to the Mara Hoffman fashion show, I was really excited for this one and she didn't disappoint anyone. I absolutely loved all the details on the swimsuits and coverups, the gorgeous prints that scream Aztec and Egyptian art (check out all the pictures Gabo took below). About my outfit: I really wanted to wear this white lace dress with the fringe bag for that tribal vibe; and it was funny because a couple of bloggers were wearing white lace too, it looked like we planned it. Enjoy the picture below! XOXO

__________
