SHOEDAZZLE heels
BEGINNING BOUTIQUE sweater
Lamb & Flag LAVENDER JEANS
REBECCA MINKOFF bag
ZEROUV sunglasses
KATE SPADE bracelet
EBAY ring

I have already worn this color combo several times on the blog (check out theprevious remix with these pants)- there's something I really like about wearing lavender and mint. I wore this a couple of weeks ago and it was a little chilly- even with the sweater. I was going for a comfy look but the fun heels made it the outfit a little dressier. That day, I took chiki to meet his future wife- a friend that has a maltese wanted her dog to have puppies...but sadly, nothing happened (Chiki is still looking for a girlfriend so if you know someone interested in a handsome 5 year-old maltese, let me know). What do you think of this color combo? Would you try it?

Celebrity inspired: MIRANDA KERR

Tuesday, February 26, 2013

ROMWE striped tee
2020AVE booties
EXPRESS cargo pants
DANIELLE NICOLE burgundy bag
ZEROUV cat-eye sunglasses
FOREVER 21 faux Leather jack

I absolutely adore Miranda Kerr's style- she always looks like perfection from head to toe I'm not sure if she has a stylist, but either way.. she always looks fantastic. I have several of her looks saved in my computer and I've been wanting to do specifically this one for a while. I had all the pieces except the burgundy bag... and I finally have it (and as you can see, I can't stop wearing it...it has been featured on the blog several times already).

I get a lot of requests to do looks for different body types... and well, that's something I certainly cannot change. But this is exactly what this comparison is about.... Miranda must be at least 6 inches taller than me (and probably even weighs less than me). When "copying" this look, I had to be very careful about proportions: if my shirt was as long as hers and if my pants were rolled up like hers, my legs would look even shorter. Also, petite girls should stay away from big and long bags like the one she's wearing- they look like they are carrying you instead of you carrying the bag. Remember, inspiration is everywhere... you just have to make it work for you and for your style! XOXO

_____

With PAVAN at the SOBE Wine and Food Festival....

Monday, February 25, 2013

STYLEGODIS "happy native american" sweater
OLIVIA + JOY green bag
OASAP black crochet shorts
BEGINNING BOUTIQUE heels
OASAP hat

The past weekend was the "South Beach Wine and Food Festival" and I wanted to stop by and check out the Pavan Mobile- I absolutely adore the Pavan team, I had the chance to spend time with them in NYC because of the trip I won with them... and they are the sweetest! Inside the truck we got to taste different drinks with Pavan.. and the most delicious food thanks to the Chef Michael Shikany (the sliders were to die for!!). Since the weather has been a little crazy lately, I improvised with a light sweater and my swimsuit underneath (just in case I actually wanted to go to the beach). I made the mistake of wearing heels since the truck was on the beach beach...but nothing like taking your shoes off in the sand.  I also have a fun video below...hope you like it!! XOXO

PREMIOS LO NUESTRO 2013- look

Sunday, February 24, 2013

FUROR MODA sheer skirt
SHOEDAZZLE lace up heels
DANIELLE NICOLE burgundy bag
PACSUN  black shirt
OASAP tiger belt
NINETEEN PIECES earrings

Last Thursday I had the opportunity, thanks to TRESemme, to go to "Premios Lo Nuestro"- which basically awards the best in the Hispanic music industry. I went with two friends, including the amazing Tati from Furor Moda (you guys know I love her!). We had so much fun- the best part about any award show are the performances. We got to see great hispanic artists like Ricky Martin and Pitbull (and they were amazing!!)

About my look: I found out I was going to the awards the day before so I had to improvise a little. I don't know about big award shows, but the ones I've been to...they are weird. You see people with suits and long dresses, and people in JEANS (so I was trying to be in a happy medium while still dressy and trendy). Being completely honest, I have a folder in my computer with all the looks I love from bloggers/celebrities/streetstyle. Checking it out for inspiration, I remember this look from Adriana from Fake Leather (she's one of my favorite bloggers, check her out- you'll love her). I had similar/identical pieces in my closet, so I had to wear it...of course, giving it my personal touch.

Hope you liked it! XOXO

_________

TREND EVOLUTION.... Vahife Photoshoot and Event Invite

Saturday, February 23, 2013

Even though I take pictures of my outfits almost every day, I would never consider myself a model- first I need to grow like 20 cm. However, my close friend Valentina from Vahife Boutique asked me to model, along with Karina from Moda On The Rocks, for her new website (it'll be up next week.. so you are getting a special sneak peek that's why they are B&W). It was a great experience (and it was so much fun getting over the top hair and makeup). Now I see models differently... their job is a lot harder than it looks like.

If you live in Miami or in South Florida, here's an event you cannot miss. It's called TREND EVOLUTION- it's next Saturday, March 2nd from 5pm to 10pm at 500 Brickell Ave.  There will be a lot of new artists and talent....from fashion to art and photography (plus light bites and drinks!) You can check out all the details and of course RSVP by clicking HERE. Also, there'll be fun raffles; plus a bracelet for the first 20 people. I'd love to see you girls, and guys, there. XOXO

__________
