A couple of months ago, I begged Gaby to do a celebrity inspired look with me (we did Kourtney and Scott, click here if you haven't seen it)- we had so much fun so we decided we wanted to do it more often. This time we chose Olivia Palermo and her boyfriend Johannes Huebl- I love her style, she always looks so put together... and apparently.. her boyfriend too. As you can see, the pieces are not identical- it's all about the general feeling of the outfit. Let's talk about the price- just Olivia's bag is over $12,000, while my whole look (including sunglasses and watch) is $240. About our day: we had lunch with his family and then we headed to a frozen yogurt place, Then, something came over me and I started "remodeling the house"- I want to even move the furniture. Hace unos meses, convencí a Gabo que me acompañara en un look de Kourtney y Scott; fue bastante divertido y creo que les gustó la idea. Razón por la cual queremos hacer esta sección más seguido,  y en esta oportunidad quisimos inspirarnos en los outfits de Olivia Palermo y su novio Johannes Huebl. Creo que ya les he dicho que me encanta el estilo de Olivia; no importa lo que tiene puesto, siempre se ve súper elegante... y aparentemente su novio también. Como pueden ver, ninguna de las piezas son exactas sino es el feeling general del outfit. Comparando el precio del outfit, solo la cartera de Olivia sobrepasa los $12.500- mientras que mi outfit general cuesta $240 (contando hasta el reloj y los lentes de sol) Sobre nuestro día: estuvimos con su familia fuimos a comer y luego a comer helado. I'm not going to lie, this is what I wanted to wear for the challenge- and I kept hoping the temperature in Miami would go down a little during the weekend (but it never happened... we are still waiting for the cold fronts). So I had to adjust it a little in order to be able to wear without melting (we even took pictures of that adjusted look, but I was dying to show this one). When I bought this sweater, so many looks came to my mind- I want to wear it color blocking, with white shorts/jeans.. etc. But now.. I went for the winterish bumble bee, I wanted to show that this color is not only for the spring/summer. About my day, I went shopping (got a lot of things at JC Penney with a gift card I got) and then we headed to a friend's house for "game night". No les voy a mentir, esto era lo que originalmente quería usar para el reto y estaba cruzando los dedos para que este fin de semana no hiciera calor en Miami (todavía estamos esperando esas olas de frío del norte)- pero no fue así... y tuve que ajustarlo un poco para no derretirme (tomamos fotos de mi "ajuste" también pero de verdad que quería mostrarles este look!).  Al comprar este suéter me vinieron mil ideas a la mente, y van a verlo muchísimo: con bloques de color, pantalones/shorts blancos, y más. Espero que este outfit les de ideas, y que demuestre que estos colores neón no son solo para la primavera/verano. Fue un domingo tranquilo, fui de shopping- compré unas cositas que me muero por mostrarles. Y luego fuimos a casa de una amiga ya que era "game night". The past Wednesday I was invited to attend a fun P&G event, where the company showed us the new products they launched in 2012. The place was decorated as a super chic lab- with stations where the experts explained to us how the products worked (most of them even did small experiments). Then, there was a second level where they had the beauty products- there, they did makeovers with Olay & Covergirl products. The best part of the night was meeting Irma Martinez, celebrity stylist and P&G spokesperson- she told us how she started in the styling world (she has styled SHAKIRA!), some secrets to be successful in the industry (she said just be unique, do something that differentiate you front he rest), and shared some of her favorite P&G products (she's obsessed with Olay Pro X). About my outfit: I went to school first so I got home to "change" but I didn't have time so I just added a leather jacket to dress it up a little. I hope you like the pictures!
El miércoles fui a un evento cheverísimo de P&G, en donde la compañía nos muestra los nuevos productos que lanzaron para el 2012. El local estaba decorado como si fuera un laboratorio (pero uno súper chic), y ahí estaban los expertos explicándonos como funcionaban los productos (muchos hacían experimentos también hasta de papel de baño!). Luego en la parte de arriba estaba la sección de belleza, en donde te hacían un "makeover" con productos Olay y Covergirl. Lo mejor de la noche no solo fue probar los productos, sino también conocer a una reconocida estilista latina: Irma Martinez. Tati (de Furormoda.com) y yo estuvimos hablando con ella por un ratote, nos contó de como empezó en la carrera de la moda (ha sido la estilista de artistas como Shakira, Thalia, Luis Fonsi, Paulina Rubio, y más).... algunos secretitos para el éxito (principalmente ser única y no dejar de luchar por lo que quieres) y compartió cuales eran sus productos favoritos de P&G (su favorito es la nueva colección de Olay Pro X).  Sobre mi outfit: les cuento que llegué a la casa apuradísima a cambiarme de la universidad para el evento, pero no tenía tiempo así que solo agregué esta chaqueta de cuero para vestir el look un poquito. I wore this sweater SO much a couple of months that I had to hide it in the darkest corner in my closet (place where I now placed my burgundy jeans so I don't wear them as often lol) But on Tuesday, I decided to wear it again with my cargo pants and an unexpected touch of gray with the little bag. On tuesdays I have class the WHOLE day, so I wanted to be comfy but still put together (hello.. it's fashion school!). And something really funny happened, a close friend was wearing almost the exact same outfit (her sweater was army cream/cream and her pants were black...we looked like twins). I'm still trying to figure out this semester when to take pics because I'm taking more classes than usual and it's been crazy- so expect a lot more "university/school" outfits! Este suéter lo estuve utilizando tanto hace unos meses que lo guarde en una esquinita en el closet para darle un pequeño descanso (mismo descanso por el cual están pasando mis pantalones rojos oscuro). Pero el martes me antojé de usarlo con mis pantalones cargos, y una cartera gris (que es como el toque inesperado, generalmente lo hubiera combinado con algo negro). Me gusta llevar esta cartera pequeña porque generalmente llevo la computadora/libro en la mano. Los martes paso TODO el día en la universidad, y ahí hace un poco de frío (así que el suéter es necesario). Y me pasó algo comiquísimo, una amiga estaba vestida casi idéntica- tal vez vieron una foto en twitter/instagram; su suéter era con crema/verde militar y tenía los pantalones negros, ósea el look era invertido (parecíamos gemelitas). Bueno, FELIZ SEMANA A TODAS! Ya me estoy organizando mejor para poder tomar más fotos- estoy viendo 5 clases, y no tengo tiempo de NADA! Así que esperen bastantes looks "universitarios". Un abrazo

I love shirts that look very simple from the front..but when you turn around, there's a wow-factor (in this case an open back). To balance it out a little, I added a high waisted skirt. I know a lot of you prefer when I wear colorful outfits- reason why I always try to incorporate a little bit of color (even if it is just lipstick/nail color).  I chose this booties because I felt heels where too formal- and I looked like I was going to the beach with sandals (I feel like the booties give the outfit an edgier/laid back feel). Me encantan las camisas que se ven sencillas por delante pero al voltearte tiene algún detalle- en este caso, una espalda bastante escotada. Para balancear lo escotado, quise combinar la camisa con una falda bastante alta. Se que muchas me han comentado que extrañan mis outfits super coloridos- por eso aunque sea un outfit blanco-negro, intento incorporar un poco de color (como el fucsia en la pintura de labios). Escogí usar estos botines porque en tacones me veía muy formal, y en sandalias parecía que iba a la playa-me parece que los botines le dan un toque más rocker al look. Esto fue lo que utilicé un domingo bastante relax, salimos a comer a casa de una amiga, y a hacer una pequeña diligencia.  Un abrazo grandísimo a todas! Cuéntame como usarías este top!

I got this dress on the mail on Thursday and I couldn't wait to wear it- it's from a new online store called 2020ave.com, they have a lot of cute and affordable items! I love that it's so sheer- the only problem was that I didn't read the description box where it say that it didn't come with the slip so I had to improvise with a simple top and a tight skirt. I paired with camel accessories and a small pop of color in the bracelets. I wore this to a friend's birthday at a cool restaurant in Fort Lauderdale.  I thought it was a casual restaurant- reason why I wore this boho bag- but it was more like a lounge, and everyone was so dressed up! El jueves me llegó este vestido por correo y no podía esperar para usarlo, es de una página llamada 2020ave.com con ropa/accesorios muy económicos y lindísimos. Me encanta que sea totalmente transparente- no me fijé que en la descripción dice que viene sin el forro debajo, así que tuve que improvisar con una camisa de tiritas + falda. Lo combiné con accesorios color "camel" y un poco de color en las pulseras. Esto fue lo que utilicé para el cumpleaños de una amiga, fuimos a comer a un restaurante/lounge en Fort Lauderdale. Yo juraba que era un restaurante casual y por eso fui con esta cartera toda bohemia- y cuando llegamos, todo el mundo estaba como si fuera una discoteca. Por cierto... acabo de abrir una cuenta en instagram, si quieres seguirme "nanysklozet".Un abrazo grandísimo a todas!

Even though I complain like crazy in the summer because of the crazy humidity in Miami... I'm so happy I can wear clothes like this in January while the rest of the US is freezing. Since it was gorgeous outside, we decided to head to Miami Beach to walk around/eat/ and take pictures at this new park beside Lincoln Road. There's not much to say about this outfit- just a bright romper with neutral accessories - and I also added a fringe bag + feather earrings to make it more bohemian. After watching these pics, I realized I need to go to the beach, I've never been this pale! Have a GREAT weekend!

Por mucho que me quejo del clima de Miami en verano- poder usar ropa como esta todo el año.. es lo mejor. El día estaba lindísimo, y aprovechando que no tenía clases fuimos a Miami Beach a comer- y tomamos fotitos justo en un parque lindísimo al lado de  Lincoln Road. De verdad que no hay mucho que decir del outfit: un romper rosado neón y accesorios neutrales para que sobresalga- para darle un toque más bohemio, utilicé esta cartera de flecos y unos zarcillos/aretes de plumas. Después de ver estas fotos me di cuenta que necesito ir a la playa/tomar sol.. URGENTE, estoy muy blanca! FELIZ FIN DE SEMANA!

Desde hace unos meses quería tener una opción para que puedan "comprar" mi "klozet"- todo lo que van a ver aquí considero que está en excelentes condiciones y a buenos precios. Algún día espero tener mi propia boutique online, y esto es un pequeño paso para ver como funciona todo.

This was actually the 1st pictures we took in Miami after my holiday trip to Venezuela and Europe- my bf got upset because I kept complaining on the picture quality (if you look closely, the are not as sharp as the rest of the posts). After changing the lens many times, we realized something was wrong with his camera and he sent it to Canon so they can fix it. Reason why we have been taking them lately with my camera (which I LOVE and a lot people ask me what model it is- Canon Rebel T3i and I use the 50 mm 1.8F lens for those wondering :) ) Back to the outfit, I had been waiting for this bag for a couple of weeks and I was so excited when it got home that I couldn't wait to wear it- it's the perfect size/shape.. and I adore the sequins). This time I paired with simple pieces that equal a super glam outfit and I really like that it is a versatile look that you can wear to a lot of different occasions (like going out with your friends,  change the leather pants for black business pants and you are ready to work). I actually wore it to go out with my boyfriend and have sushi (it's like our thing, we are addicted to it). Les cuento que estas fueron las primeras fotos que tome en Miami después de mi viaje por Venezuela y Europa- mi novio se molestó conmigo porque no paraba de quejarme porque las fotos no estaban tan enfocadas como a mi me gustan. Intentamos varias veces, con diferentes lentes... hasta que nos dimos cuenta que no eran los lentes.. sino su cámara. Mientras que la mía estuvo funcionando de lo mejor en el viaje- me lo preguntan mucho, mi cámara es una Canon Rebel T3i y el lente que uso es el 50mm 1.8F. Bueno volviendo al outfit, había estado esperando esta cartera de Mimi Boutique por unas semanas... no es hermosa- es chiquita pero le cabe todo lo que necesitas, aparte que tiene un bolsillo en la parte de atrás en donde yo pongo el celular porque es comodísimo. La combiné con piezas sencillas pero glam para un look que puedes usar en muchísimas ocasiones (desde salir con tus amigas hasta para el trabajo).
