You have to check out my previous post wearing Zella. It is Nordstrom’s in-house lifestyle brand. In the first one, I got a few performance leggings that I completely loved. Then I got some fun tie-dye that is perfect to be around the house.

As soon as my husband saw me trying on the things I got from Zella- he asked “Do they have men’s clothes too?” And he got a bit excited when I told him YESS!!

So this month, I went on a mission to get us comfy matching outfits!

HE’S WEARING

He is wearing the Pyrite Slim Fit Pocket Jogger- they are super versatile since he can wear them to work out in cooler days or with fun shirts for an off-duty look.

He paired it with the Tie Dye Men’s Hoodie- so soft, made from a cotton-blend fleece, perfect for the Miami Winter days where you only need a cozy hoodie.

I’M WEARING

You can never go wrong with black leggings- the Soft Pocket Lounge Leggings are my favorite to work out and lounge around.

To match with Gabe I went for the Jamie Ink Print Crewneck Sweater, it comes in several colors…it was hard to pick my favorite but I went for the blue one. It is adorable!

Just a little reminder that Nordstrom  has curbside pickup. I like ordering online and then I pick it up without even having to leave my car or open my door.

Last-Minute Holiday Gifts for…

Friday, December 18, 2020

*Sponsored by Shopstyle and Nordstrom Rack. This post includes affiliate links. All opinions are my own.*

Last time I had so much fun doing “Holiday Gifts under $25 for the Whole Family”. This time I wanted to include my readers and I ask you all on my Instagram Stories to tell me who you are having a time finding gifts for.

Everything you see on this little list is from Nordstrom Rack, it includes lots designer brands and great quality items at great prices.

Let’s get this started:

FOR THE DAD WHO HAS EVERYTHING

My dad and my father-in-law are always the hardest to gift something to…because it feels like they have it all and they won’t ever admit when they need something new.

So I’m gonna say that you should go for things that even though they DO have, they should replace or would rotate- ex: sneakers or workout clothes,  THE shirt they always wear in another color, “cooler” masks.

BESTIES WORKING FROM HOME

This year changed our lives in so many ways- many switched from office meeting to Zoom calls.  I’m thinking comfy pj sets, slippers, cardigans that dress up but they are still super cozy, headbands and hair accessories (again, to feel dressy at Zoom calls)

FOR THE ESSENTIAL WORKER

If you have anyone who is an essential worker right now, I think all the gifts should be about pampering themselves. I’m thinking face masks, candles, eye masks, skin care…anything that makes them relaxed and recharge them to continue doing the amazing work they are doing!

FOR THE NEW HOMEOWNERS

If anyone in your family or circle just moved in into a new place or bought their first house, it can be super special to gift them something useful for their new home. Here are some ideas. I’m loving this Mr and Mrs Wine Set

FOR THE QUARANTINE BABY

Any baby born in the last few months probably didn’t have a baby shower or a proper “welcome to the world” meet, so let’s pamper these quarantine babies with some cute items! Mama advice: if you are getting them Pjs, make sure they have zippers- it makes changing them 100x easier!

Must-Have Boots for a Winter Getaway

I absolutely love wearing boots…but let’s say that living in Miami, we (Nico and I) didn’t have the right boots for our winter getaway to North Carolina.

The weather during mid-December in North Carolina can be a little unpredictable- we weren’t sure if we were going to get snow BUT we knew there were a few waterfalls around the area and we were excited to go see them.

So I headed to DSW, our family go-to for all things shoes and THE boot destination with all the styles you might need for any occasion. I had two pairs in mind: rain boots and snow boots.

RAIN BOOTS

In our bucket-list, we had many waterfalls to visit around the area so I knew it was a must for Nico and me to get rain boots. And I honestly have been eyeing these Hunter boots for a while, especially for those crazy storms in Miami (we have them more than frequently).

But I am IN LOVE with Nico’s boots, they are super easy to put on and off (and as he is getting more independent, he loves that). He was very excited when he saw the space print and EVEN more excited when he realized they light up. They also comes in a super cute dinosaur print.

SNOW BOOTS

We really wanted to see snow BUT we weren’t as lucky. However, another thing in our bucket list was to go tubbing in a close-by area, so we got to wear our snow boots even if just for a little bit.

Mine are SOREL and I know they are a classic and will last me many seasons to come.

Nico’s are Columbia and he has been wearing them a lot, especially during the colder days of our getaway.

I ordered our boots online and picked the curbside option, but the store layouts have also been redesigned to support social distancing. You can also sign up to be a DSW VIP and get free shipping on any order! You can also get $10 OFF Express Shipping using the code ISHIPIT (from December 15th to December 18th) to get any last-minute Holiday shopping on time!

Holiday Gifts Under $25 for the Whole Family

Thursday, November 19, 2020

As you can tell, I’m really excited about the Holidays…and I absolutely love getting gifts for my loved ones just as much as I love dressing up for the occasion.

Because of the current worldwide climate, I am sure we all want to save as much as we can. Reason why everything from this list is from Nordstrom Rack, and you will see lots designer brands under $25!!

Let’s do this!

1. Secret Santa/White Elephant

Every year, I do a white elephant with my friends (the only rule is that the gifts must be around $20) and we always have so much fun.

This year, you can use a Secret Santa generator online, and set up gift exchange details so you can still have fun while socially distancing! These are all unisex, useful gifts, that everyone will love!

2. For little ones

For this little list, I tried adding things that boys and girls will absolutely love! Let’s say Nico, my boy, caught a glimpse of it while I was doing it and he was super excited about a few items (your niece and nephew will be too!)

I always feel like shopping for my husband, dad, and brothers is always the hardest. But here are some key items that will never fail!

4. For your gals

I love shopping for my mom and my best friends. Unlike the guys, I always go for things that remind me of them and that have some sort of meaning.

5. Treat yourself

Don’t forget to treat yourself this Holiday season, you deserve it too!

Tie Dye Comfort

If there is one print that will remind me of 2020, in the best way possible, it is tie dye!

Last month, in this post, I told you how I discovered Nordstrom’s in-house lifestyle brand, Zella. At that time, I got a few performance leggings that I completely loved. Then I started thinking, “if this is how comfortable the leggings are, I have to order some loungewear pieces”. And that’s exactly what I did!

As I am not too crafty- and I don't dare to do my own tie dye- I was drawn to the gorgeous tie-dye pieces from Zella. And since I am still spending A LOT of time at home to stay as safe as possible, I have been wearing these pieces non-stop!

LOOK # 1

This tie-dye set is too cute! It also comes in gray or baby blue, and you can match the sweater with either shorts or pants!  You can also wear the sweater with some jeans and sneakers and head out for some errands!

LOOK # 2

This tie dye sweater dress is the comfiest around the house but it is also super easy to dress up! I wanted to show you how: cinching your waist with a belt and adding some booties! And guess what: IT HAS POCKETS!!

LOOK # 3

As soon as I touched this olive tie dye shirt I said “I need like 10 more” and my husband was like “Do they make any men’s shirts like this?” It is really one of the softest fabrics ever! I originally got it to add to my workout clothes, but It is really one of the softest fabrics ever and I am spending all day in it!

I paired the tie dye shirt with these plush corduroy pants- they also come in a purple taupe!

As I mentioned above, I continue to be super careful during this worldwide pandemic. I love the curbside pickup at Nordstrom. I can order anything I like only and pick it up without even having to leave my car or open my door.

Nordstrom is also having free shipping and returns, and you can sign up to become a member of The Nordy Club by clicking HERE and enjoy exclusive perks like members-only access to sales and events.

Denim Versatility This Holiday Season

Friday, November 13, 2020

This post is sponsored by ShopStyle and maurices . All opinions are my own.

I’ve been super excited about the Holiday Season. I started decorating on November 1st, playing Holiday music, and planning my gifts to my loved ones.

This season is also a great time to update your wardrobe for winter.  My advice is to go for pieces that you can wear now, this Holiday, but that will also work the rest of the Winter and Spring.

Start with a pair of jeans that make you feel SO good.  I got these jeans from maurices and I’m absolutely loving the fit and the way they hug my curves.  They are also really easy to dress up or down, to layer-up, and wear all year round.

I want to show you 3 easy ways to style them so you can get inspired:

LOOK 1 : COMFY and CUTE

I wanted to pair the jeans with this sweater from maurices. I really like the light pink color. It’s super cozy for Winter but it looks cute with a floral skirt for -still cold- Spring days!

I finished look #1 with some comfortable but fashionable black boots and some gold hoop earrings! This is such an easy, every day combo!

LOOK 2: HOLIDAY READY

Again, my advice is to get pieces you can wear after the Holidays. This sweater is red and cream, BUT you can wear it in February (Valentine’s outfit idea!). I added the black jacket that it’s such a must in cold weather and I paired it with some over the knee boots!. Last touch: this cute faux fur pom hat!

LOOK 3:  WINTER

This white plaid jacket makes a statement but it is such a staple piece you can wear year after year. I paired it with some cozy pullover sweater, and some cognac tall boots!

Which look is your favorite?

Check out the maurices Jeans Shop. They have a great variety of styles (jeggings, bootcut, skinny, boyfriend, etc) in all washes, and an amazing variety of sizes (plus size and regular with a variety of inseams for the petite ladiesss!).

Giving Back This Holiday Season with AmazonSmile Charity Lists

Wednesday, November 11, 2020

This post is sponsored by Amazon. All opinions are my own.

2020 hasn’t been the year we all imagined it would be. It has taught us the importance of enjoying the little things in life and giving back to our community and those who need it most.

I love how AmazonSmile Charity Lists make it so easy to give back.

At smile.amazon.com/charitylists, you can find an organization to give back to by browsing by cause (from Pets & Animals, Environment, and Health…to Veterans and Arts and Culture) or simply searching for your favorite organizations. I already knew I wanted to donate to an animal organization, so I added the keyword “Miami” in the search bar, and AmazonSmile gave me a list of animal organizations IN Miami.

I was super excited to see that “Jamie’s Rescue” was on the list - that’s the rescue where we adopted Susy from in January. This organization was founded by Jamie Robinson, a past photographer for the White House in the 70s, who nurtures puppies and dogs back to health and puts them up for adoption.

To adopt Susy, we were interviewed by Jamie a few times - we visited the rescue twice and we were in complete awe by seeing all the dogs run freely around the house and backyard. It’s like she lives with the dogs, and not the other way around. You can tell it is a labor of love.

Once you select an AmazonSmile Charity List, you can view their full wish list – and in Jamie’s Rescue’s case, it mostly includes pet supplies and cleaning products. You can then purchase items to donate and have them directly delivered to the organization’s designated address.

I am very excited to give back to the place that gave us our precious little Susy.

In addition to charity lists, you can also support your favorite charitable organization at no extra cost to you just by shopping through AmazonSmile. Visit smile.amazon.com/holiday and browse Amazon’s wide selection of holiday deals and low price items, receive fast and free delivery options, and more. The best part is, when you start your shopping at smile.amazon.com, Amazon will automatically donate a portion of the purchase price of eligible products to a charity of your choice.

And it gets even earier than that! If you are in the giving spirit and wish to make a monetary donation, you can simply say “Alexa, I want to make a donation” to any Alexa enabled device to get started.

Let’s make the holidays a bit more wonderful for those who need it most! Click here if you are ready to give back and browse AmazonSmile Charity Lists – and share how you’re giving back this season with #DeliveringSmiles.
