Holiday Gift Guide 2016: Beauty

Happy Holidays everyone! How’s your Holiday shopping going?

This year I decided to bring back my Holiday gift guides. The past years I’ve always started with BEAUTY- why? Because they are basically the easiest gifts to give  since you don’t have to worry about sizing. But that doesn’t mean you can’t make every gift thoughtful and personalized.

Also these gifts are great for yourself- every Holiday I like gifting myself something special (I wrap it and everything). I believe that if you have been eyeing something for a while,  you worked hard to save for it, why not treat yourself too? You deserve it!

1. Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer
When I moved to the U.S, the first thing I bought was a hairdryer. I was 17 and I learned how to blow-dry my curls- a thing I still do at least every week.  As soon as I saw the Dyson Supersonic, I was drawn to it and I couldn’t wait to try it (and now I couldn’t wait to recommend it…this is the future in hairdryers!!).

The Dyson hairdryer is small and light (perfect for traveling), it dries ultra fast (which is important when you have as much hair as I do- now that I see how quick I can blow-dry my hair..I’m thinking about growing it out again!). It also has 3 speed settings (fast, regular, and gentle drying), and 4 precise heat settings (212F, 176F, 140F, and constant cold).

2. Perfumes
I collect perfumes. I love perfumes. If someone gifts me a perfume, I’m a happy girl. So as you can imagine, I love gifting perfumes too. I like finding a fragrance that reminds me of someone and gifting it for the Holidays.

Some of my current favorites:
- Ralph Lauren Tender Romance

3. Smashbox Light It Up Sets
During the Holidays, most makeup brands come up with great Holiday sets that are also great deals.  I’m absolutely loving Smashbox’s Light it Up collection. For example, you can get 7 Smahbox lipsticks + mattifier for $29 (original value $117), or an essential brush set for $55 (original value for $121) + you can keep the cute neon boxes to store makeup.

4. Makeup Bag
I love a good old personalized bag; for example, you can personalize makeup bags on Shutterfly.  You can also get a super cute makeup bag and fill it with goodies.
We all have a friend who always have a killer manicure. Many brands, like Essie, have great Holiday sets but you can definitely pic a few fun colors that remind you of your mom/sister/best friend and wrap them in a cute Christmas box stocking inside an even cuter makeup bag like I mentioned before .
Our generation is getting more and more eco-friendly (hell yes for that!). If you have a friend who is always looking for natural products that are cruelty free…I really recommend Burt’s Bees and EcoTools.

7.  Oval brushes Sets
Any makeup lover would agree on the statement that a girl can never have too many makeup brushes- which btw we should replace more often than we think. You have probably seen the oval brushes around and they are amazing. They adapt to the shape of your face, which means the most flawless application.

Since I just mentioned brushes, why not gift a brush cleaner?
I recommend the glove ($39), but if you are into futuristic designs (like the Dyson hairdryer), you can also check out the Lilumia 2 New York, where you can clean your brushes while doing anything else! It cleans up to 12 makeup brushes at a time.
