A couple of weeks ago, I saw Jessica Alba wearing a pair of gorgeous two-tone Giuseppe Zanotti (as the ones you can see above, they retail for $650). Even though I'm terrible at arts and crafts, I decided to give it a try a do my first DIY on the blog. It's so easy that you don't need to read the steps below.
You only need: a pair of pointy pumps (preferably cheap, just in case)- nail polish (it can be any color, from white to neons- you can create your own combo.. I went for the classic B&W) You also need tape and of course.. scissors.
Start off by (1) Calculating how much you want to paint, and putting the tape on. Just make sure both "toe-caps" are the same size. Then (2) start painting the tip of the shoe.. and (3) give it as many layers as it needs to cover the original color of the shoe. Finally (4) let it dry for a while and (5) remove the tape.. VOILA... new Giuseppe Zanotti inspired shoes for less than $30!!
I hope you liked my first DIY- it actually took me a LOT of time to do this little collage...but it was so much fun! Can't wait to wear them!
__________
