Current Mood: Fearless...with Sephora

Monday, October 17, 2016

Just like fashion, beauty is a way to express how you feel, how you are, and who you want to be. I love how beauty has the power to make your feel confident; triumphant. I love the power of a red lipstick, and the inner confidence the right smoky eye can give.
Personally, I have been feeling fearless- because fear is the only thing between you and your goals. So, today I’m partnering with Sephora Collection  and how the line can empower you to get what you want no matter the occasion.
My go to makeup is a classic cat eye with a red or dark lip (you can see a step by step tutorial I did with Sephora Collection a couple of weeks ago by clicking here).  But today I decided to switch things up a little bit. I did a smokier cat-eye with navy blue and a little bit of bronze.

Since eyeshadows can be a little messy, this eye makeup was done mostly with crayons and liners..so easy and clean. Here’s how I did it:
-    To start: I used the crayon Sephora Collection Colorful Liner & Shadow in Beige  all over my lid and using my fingers I blended it until the brow bone.   Because of it’s creamy texture and color, it is the perfect base for any eye makeup. Then I applied "Sephora Collection Colorful Shadow & Liner ” in 33 Secret Boudoir r in the upper eyelid and shimmery brown eyeshadow on the crease to create depth.
-    Then I went ahead and lined the upper and lower lash line with Sephora Collection’s “ Contour Matte Gel Eyeliner” in 05 Navy Baby. Go for a thicker stroke for a smokier cat eye. You can use a brush to blend the navy, that way the lines won’t look as harsh. Then I lined my water line with black eyeliner (Sephora Collection Retractable Eyeliner in 01 Black) for an extra deep “smize”.
-    Because I’ve been challenging myself and going the extra mile: I added false eyelashes. Here I’m using the Plush Eyelashes by Sephora Collection. They are very full and long; I had to cut them a little to fit my eye perfectly. I blended my lashes with the falsies using one coat of mascara and then I hid the false lashes seam with liquid eyeliner (recommendation: Sephora Collection “Classic Line 24HR Felt Eyeliner”. The tip is very precise and highly pigmented)
-    Last fun extra touch: I added a bit of this bronze eyeliner ( Sephora Collection Retractable Eyeliner in 12 Glitter Copper) below the navy eyeliner on the lower lash line and on the inner corner as highlight.
-    And of course, we can’t forget lipstick. Since today my eyes were darker than the usual, I went with a nude lip  (Sephora Collection Rouge Matte and a little pinkish gloss).

See, it’s not about trying a completely different look, don’t be afraid to reinvent your favorite look…like frayed denim jeans instead of classic jeans…and big sleeves in your favorite sweater shape!

Are you feeling fearless? Are you ready to get out of your comfort zone?
