I feel like in the past couple of months, the fashion events in Miami have been increasing like crazy- and I have to admit that,  because I live a little far from Miami (just 30 min but it adds up).. I get a little lazy sometimes! But I promised myself that I really need to attend all the events that I can, specially because I love meeting and spending time with other bloggers. Yesterday, I went to the "Fashion Bloggers Night Out" at Neiman Marcus- I was a little late (fashionably late) but I was able to list to the lovely  Annie (The Fashion Poet), Jenny (LopezJennyLopez), Karla (KarGarOhhSnap), Ginger (Electric Blogarella) & Maria (The Wordy Girl)- they talk about the growing Miami Fashion scene and about the importance of bloggers. Later, there was a small fashion show- full of color and prints (check out the pics below). Enjoy the pics! XOXO

Siento que en los últimos meses, los eventos de moda en Miami están aumentando de una forma impresionante- y tengo que admitir que, por vivir en las afueras de Miami y tener que manejar mucho,  hay días que me gana la flojera. Pero me prometí a mi misma ir más a menudo a todo lo que pueda, especialmente porque me encanta compartir y conocer a  otras blogueras de moda. Ayer fui a "Fashion Bloggers Night Out" en Neiman Marcus- llegué un poco tarde pero pude oír a Annie (The Fashion Poet), Jenny (LopezJennyLopez), Karla (KarGarOhhSnap), Ginger (Electric Blogarella) y a Maria (The Wordy Girl). Luego hubo un fashion show de Neiman Marcus muy colorido- hay muchas fotitos abajo pero lo más emocionante es ver como el mundo de blogueras de moda en Miami está creciendo. Un abrazo grande a todas!

I realized that all my Sunday outfits are very comfy and simple- for me Sundays are the perfect days to spend the whole day in your PJs. However, I force myself to dress up and do something- I really like that this outfit is so simple but the accessories (like the scarf and the bag) really make it more "dressy". Talking about accessories- I really wanted to make a quick parenthesis and talk about "my bags" (and specifically about this one since it's one of those "Celine for less"). A couple of months ago a website talked about me and about how they loved my looks but hated how I wore "cheap knock-offs" bags and that she would prefer going to Aldo to get bags. That day I went to the mall, and I headed to Aldo- I swear that all the bags I saw here "cheap knock offs" too- meaning that all the bags were inspired by designers bags ( I saw Chanel-ish quilted bags, Birkin-ish bags, and every it bag). I'm not saying there something wrong with that, even designers get inspired by other designers (Is it me or the Michael Kors Hamilton is very reminiscent of the Hermes Birkin). I personally do not wear something because it's THIS or THAT brand- if I like something I don't care if I got it at a thrift store or at a specialty store. On the other hand, I love finding "looks for less" because I know that the 90% of the women can afford a $2,000 bag (including me!)- and you can look like a million dollars without having to spend them!. I know that many of you might not agree with me... and that's okay, I don't know what to start any controversies . Back to my outfit, I wore this to have lunch with my boyfriend before having to go home and PACK! Like I told you before, my brother is getting married this weekend and I had to travel. Tomorrow I'll share my first outfit at the first destination! Hope you like it! XOXO

While the first time I wore these jeans was with a denim shirt, making it really casual- this time I tried more of classic combo- staple pieces every woman should have in their closet: black pumps, a classic bag, and a white blouse. Instead of adding a necklace, I added a black ribbon to make a little bow. I wore this outfit to get together with a couple of friends at a friend's place- he was cooking and I swear he does the best argentinian bbq in the whole world! Mientras que la primera vez que utilicé estos jeans fue en una combinación más casual por denim- en esta ocasión quise mantener todas las piezas muy clásicas para que los pantalones fueran como la parte divertida y trendy del outfit. En vez de utilizar un collar con la blusa blanca, la cerré hasta el cuello y amarré una cinta negra en forma de lazito. Este outfit lo utilicé para ir a casa de la novia de un amigo, en donde nos reunimos todo mi grupo y la pasamos súper chevere! El es argentino, y les juro que hace el mejor churrasco y chimichurri del mundo ¿Qué opinan de esta forma de usar los jeans de leopardo? FELIZ LUNES! Un abrazo!

Hi everyone! I hope you had an amazing weekend- this weekend was a little chillier than usual because of a cold front or something like that. I was freezing the night of the Art Basel, everybody was wearing jackets and I... a little dress. Reason why on Sunday, I decided to wear this sweater.. AGAIN ( it's probably going to be featured on a remix soon). This time I added a little pop of color with my new JC Penney jeans- I already own a pair of red jeans from Zara but these are more burgundy/deep red! ( I tried to recreate the color on my lips by mixing a couple of lipsticks- !) I wore this to return a couple of things at the mall and then we had ice-cream. One of the things I never wanted to talk about on the blog was "religion" or "politics"- but I wanted to avoid any misunderstandings/controversies by first explaining the meaning of the sideway cross I'm wearing. I was raised Catholic, so I decided to do a quick research before wearing it- it means "earth- the in-between heaven and hell... humanity" (and it's super cute and delicate too!). Hola a todas! Espero que hayan descansado el fin de semana- esto fue lo que usé ayer domingo. Este fin de semana Miami estuvo un poco frío por la brisa que hacía, el día del Art Basel me estaba congelando en la noche (todo el mundo andaba con chaquetitas y yo en vestido!). Así que el domingo quise abrigarme un poquito más con este suéter que han visto VARIAS veces (pronto vendrá un remix con el mismo) y mis nuevos pantalones de JC Penney que me gustaron muchísimo porque son mucho más borgoña que los de Zara que tengo (por cierto intenté imitar el color de los pantalones en los labios, aunque en la foto se ve más rosado de lo que era!). Esto fue lo que utilicé para ir a devolver unas cositas rápido al centro comercial y luego ir a comer helado- nada del otro mundo! Algunos de los temas que nunca quise tocar en el blog son política y religión- pero hoy quiero hacer una aclaratoria rápidita sobre mi collar de cruz para evitar cualquier tipo de controversia. A mi me criaron Católica, razón por la que quise averiguar el significado de la cruz de lado antes de usarla. La cruz de lado significa "ser humano- es el entre medio del cielo y el infierno, es decir... un ser terrenal" (aparte que está lindísima y súper delicada). Un abrazo grandotote!

This weekend was very easy going- I did a little shopping with my mom since she was visiting from Venezuela (she already left :( ) and then on Saturday, I headed to Downtown for a close friend's birthday. This outfit was thought around the blue shorts- I really wanted to dress them up a little because it can look VERY casual. Reason why I paired it with this lace top and the leopard shoes. This is going to be a short post, I'm in the middle of my styling class and I have to finish a project for my 1pm class. Have a great week! XOXO
Este fin de semana fue bastante tranquilo- un poco de shopping con mi mamá que estaba visitando por unas semanas y el cumpleaños de uno de mis mejores amigos el sábado por la noche. Este outfit fue pensado alrededor del short- tenía días queriendo usarlos pero todo lo que me probaba se veía muy casual. Por eso quise "vestirlo" un poquito con esta camisa de encaje y los zapatos de leopardo. Les estoy escribiendo rapidito desde mi clase de styling y tengo que entregar un proyecto en la tarde- espero que tengan una semana linda y productiva! Un abrazo grandísimo!

Since I got this dress last month, I have been wearing it non-stop because it is super comfy. However, I really wanted it to look different (it's originally a maxi dress, check it out HERE) without having to hem it or something drastic/permanent. How did I transform it into a mini dress? Super easy, I just belted it at the waist and I began to pull out the fabric over- so it would look like one of those dresses with many layers. I also wanted to make the look more rocker than bohemian- so I added the "leather" jacket my dad got me for my bday and my JC booties. I wore this to get the best smoothies around and then we headed to the mall- My boyfriend wanted black jeans and I was trying to find a pair of snake print pumps, but I think I'm too picky! If you know any online store that's selling cute and budget-friendly shoes.. let me know! XOXO
Hace unos días tenía ganas de usar este vestido otra vez (lo vieron AQUI)- pero quería que se viera diferente sin tener que cortarlo ni hacerle un cambio drástico. Este vestido es originalmente un maxi-dress anchísimo, y lo que hice fue amarrarlo con una cinta delgada a la cintura, y empecé a jalar la tela por encima- de manera que quedara como un vestido de varias capas de tela (¿me explico?). También quise usarlo de una forma más rocker que bohemia- por eso agregué la chaqueta de cuero que me regaló mi papá de cumpleaños y mis botines JC! Esto fue lo que utilicé para ir a un sitio de merengadas y luego para el centro comercial; estuve buscando como loca unos tacones con estampado de culebra pero soy demasiado exigente, ninguno de lo que vi me convenció completamente! Si saben de alguna tienda online que los tenga buenos, bonitos y baratos.. avísenme! Un abrazo!

I do not know why I've been obsessed with hats lately- when I was little my mom loved putting them on me, so I started hating them at a young age... but lately, I love them. Last week when I met Flor, she was wearing a similar black hat and I found it on Forever 21 yesterday. This time I paired my leather shorts with a cropped polka dot top to go to eat and walk around in Miami Beach. I don't know what was going on there but we spent more time in traffic trying to get in and out of there than actually eating. When the sun went down, it got a little cold- thankfully I had a little jacket in the car. Oh, I forgot on the last post to tell you about my ring: I really wanted to get the YSL arty ring but the $250-price was completely out of my budget. Someone posted on my Facebook a link to an Ebay listing with a similar looking ring for... just $3- I even got it in two colors! No se cual es mi obsesión con los sombreros últimamente- cuando era chiquita, mi mama me los ponía todo el tiempo.. hasta el punto que los odié por muchísimo tiempo pero ahora me encantan. La semana pasada cuando vi a Flor en Chicago, ella tenía uno similar a este y me encantó- tuve suerte de encontrarlo en Forever 21 ayer. Esta vez quise combinar mis shorts de cuero con una camisa cortita de lunares para ir a comer en Miami Beach. No tienen idea lo lleno que estaba, creo que pasamos más tiempo llegando al lugar que comiendo. Cuando atardeció se puso un poco frío, menos mal que tenía un suéter en el carro. Se me había olvidado contarles de mi anillo- hace unos meses quería comprarle el anillo de YSL pero cuesta alrededor de $250 y me pareció demasiado caro.
