How to curl your hair without heat? (overnight techniques)

Thursday, June 26, 2014

Hey girls! One of the first tutorials I ever did on YouTube was on how to do natural curls with a flat iron.  Since them, I have gotten so many requests on how to curl your hair without using any type of heat (because, yes, we all want to stop damaging our hair with curling wands, flat irons, and blow dryers).

These are two of my favorite ways to do heatless curl overnight:

TECHNIQUE #1: Use a headband
- Start with damp-almost-dry hair.
- Apply TRESemmé’s 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse- which will boost your hair’s body and it will hold the curls.
-  Put on a headband.
- Grab sections and wrap them into and around the headband.
- Repeat this all the way around to your hair.
- Go to sleep and wake up with gorgeous curls in the morning.

TECHNIQUE #2: Socks & Twists
- Again, start with almost dry hair and apply a product like TRESemmé’s FlawlessCurls Lotion Créme since it locks in moisture and holds the curls for 24 hours.
- Divide your hair in 4 sections (two side sections and two in the back)
- Twist the hair away from your face all the way to the end.
- Using a sock, roll it up the way and tie the sock in a knot.
- Again, sleep on it, take the socks off, and voila!
- If the curls are too tight, you can always break them with your fingers.
- You can also apply a serum like TRESemmé's Keratin Infusing Smoothing Serum to prevent frizz and lock in shine.

¡Hola chicas!

#2: Usando medias
- Gira tu cabello (preferiblemente hacia afuera).
