I have to admit it, you probably always see me with bare-nails. I don't have the patience to do my nails every week. I wish I did, but just thinking about going to the salon stresses me more than making me relax.
Now as a new mommy, I don't have the time either. I try to go to the salon for shaping and for my cuticles, but I prefer to them at home. My go-to for a gel-like mani is Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel. It's one of my favorites because it's more chip-resistant than traditional nail polish without the need of UV light. You only need two coats of the color and one coat of the Top Coat. Here I'm wearing the color "Orchid-Ing Aside". It's still neutral enough to wear with different outfits but a little bit girly.
To match my nails, I wore a purple eyeliner (from Urban Decay) and these fun Kendra Scott Earrings. The dress is from Who What Wear at Target, and it's SO comfy. I want it in every color
The core of this blog started with style remixes (a.k.a different ways to wear the same piece); and even though I keep talking about expanding the topics, I also want to revisit what was one of you favorite sections.
Here I'm styling a dress from Who What Wear in 4 different ways. I got this dress right before Swim Week and, my fault, I didn't try it on. When I got home, the fit was a little different than I expected. I think the round neck gives it an "old lady feel". But instead of returning it, I took it as a challenge to style it in cool different ways, and it became a versatile piece.
The key to its versatility was its buttons down the front. I was able to open the top a bit to show my bralette, to open the bottom to show my skirt, or fully open it over a swimsuit.
Let me know which was your favorite outfit and how would you wear it.
This is my second time wearing this maxi dress as a top...the first one was during Swim Week but I went for leather shorts and a strappy bralette for an edgier feel. Click here to check it out.
I definitely have to wear it as an actual dress next time. But there is something about it that feels a little "old"lady, I think it's the neckline. But I'm sure I'll wear it a coverup for the beach! REMIX coming soon!! Actually, more remixes for 2018 FOR SURE!
This was during our little runaway trip because of the hurricane. We had the best road trip buddies: Alex and Gaby. Best "fashion" part? Because of the small luggage, we got to share clothes. These are Gaby's vintage shorts!
This is one of my favorite looks from later this year. What do you think?
I wore this top for the Summer BBQ I hosted. Check it out by clicking HERE. But I couldn't resist getting the matching skirt. I got it online since it wasn't available in my local target and I'm loving how they look together! I've been such a fan of gingham way before it was the it print.
I've been very into pops of red recently and this bag + lipstick is my favorite add-on to any outfit.
I wore this to an event where Gabe was speaking about photography. So proud of him!
I got this dress without trying it on first...yes totally my fault. I saw it hanged at Target and grabbed immediately as a piece I knew I could wear during Swim Week.♀️
I grabbed it because I loved the print and fabric but there was something about it that just felt "boring" on me- I think it was the neckline (a little too round, the buttons where grand-ma is).
After an hour of playing with it in the mirror (I added belts...tried wearing off the shoulder, backwards...but nothinggg), it finally came to me: why not add an edgy bralette, my favorite faux leather shorts underneath, and only close the button at the waist?
I liked the result and I'm happy I didn't give up on it (because I was about to return it)! Don't be afraid to rethink the pieces you already own or the ones you buy.
I saw a friend wearing it over jeans and it looks SO good. Also open like an over the shoulder, I'll give it a few tries to do a remix and show you that it is all about creativity!🖤

I took pictures of this look a few months ago and I couldn't post them because it was hard to see that person in the photos. It was a few weeks after the miscarriage and I'm still dealing with learning to love my body again.
After "it" happened, I had to rest for a few weeks (no exercise). And being 100% honest, I was eating my feelings away. I gained a few pounds and I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror. In a way I was (and still am) upset that my body 'failed' me. It's such a hard feeling, you repeat yourself that that little phrase isn't true- but you can't stop but FEEL it.
I'm slowing learning to love it again, by taking care of it: exercising, eating healthy, filling my self with positive thoughts. I know it won't be easy but I'm getting there. Part of me wants to open another "healthy/fitness" section. I want to share my journey from a "real perspective" (not from a nutritionist or trainer). Let's see if I'm finally courageous enough to do it!
With so much love,
Nany.

Vamos a ver si finalmente me atrevo.
Mucho mucho amor.
Nany.
And this trend is making its appearance on the blog for the fourth time!! Like I mentioned before, I really love the texture it brings to a simple outfit like this one.
I got this tee at JCPenney for under $15 and I wanted to crop it. I'm really into rocker band tees lately. I got this jeans at Target, they are part of the Who What Wear collection and I love the little flare in the boot. Since this day was all about comfort, I added my favorite sneakers: the classic Adidas Originals!
But back to the fishnets. I think it's time to get fishnet socks. it's definitely getting too hot in Miami. I'm trying to find a pair, so I've been searching the web. I'm going to link to some pairs below in case you are looking to join this trend in the warmer months!
Hope you are having a great day! XOXO
¡BESOS!
While most of the U.S celebrates the holidays bundled up, we have to adapt some of the winter trends to work for our not-so-cold weather here in Miami.
I’m so excited to partner with Target today to show you two holiday looks that will look festive in our 70-80 degree temperature! I’m a big Target fan…when I go to get cereal, I ALWAYS end up with a piece of apparel, an accessory or some type of home decor… and maybe even a book!
As soon as I saw this dark floral dress, I knew it had to be mine! I feel there is a misconception that florals are only for spring and summer…and I’m all about breaking “the rules!” Make it work for a festive day outfit by wearing it with ankle booties, a hat, and a plum lipstick! Because of the girly bohemian vibe, this dress can also transition from day to night by adding a leather jacket and switching your boots to heels. And when the holiday season is over and you are ready for spring, you can pair it with a denim jacket!
Let’s talk about my night look…great for an evening party this holiday! Velvet always comes back for the holidays; but this year, this romantic and luxurious texture is back stronger than ever. Dare to wear this fabric in a dress (I’m obsessed with this velvet dress) or a blazer like the one I’m wearing. A velvet blazer is also perfect for a holiday work party! However, I went for a flirty metallic dress and over-the-knee boots! Over-the-knee boots are a must have for the colder months, even if you live in not-so-cold weather! They are sexy, fun, they go with everything (jeans, skirts, dresses), and work from day to night. For versatility, look for ones like these since they have a chunkier heel.
What are your Holiday plans? Which look was your favorite!? XOXO
At the beginning of the month, I went to Chile to visit my brother (who has been living there for a while). Maybe you even remember when I went for his wedding in 2012 (check it out HERE). Since then...well, he had to two kids. During this trip my niece turned three and it was my nephew's baptism (he is one and a half!...and I was the godmother!).
We flew on the overnight flight to Chile- while stopping Bogotá...so it was an exhausting trip. People in the U.S doesn't realize how far South Chile is. We got there at 6am and slept until almost noon. We got ready and headed to "El Mercado de Providencia"- which is a big market (they mainly sell fish and seafood). Inside they have small restaurants, we ate there and tried "el pastel de choclo" which is one of their national dishes.
After that we just walked around to the "Plaza de Armas" to buy some last-minute decorations for my niece's birthday!Hope you enjoy the pics! XOXO
¡BESOS!
Yes, yes...I'm a little behind looks-wise! I've been slowly trying to update the blog more and more to catch up. I should have uploaded this look while I was in Los Angeles for We All Grow. However, it was such a busy time that I didn't have time to stop and write. I could be more organized and have post scheduled ahead of time, but I like sitting down and writing in real time.
I wore this at the end of February...when Miami's weather was a little bit cooler. I'm wearing two pieces of the Who What Wear Collection for Target..and this look can actually be seen on the official TV commercial (I have to say I thought about it before seeing it haha).
Instead of adding a black bag as I would have normally done, I added this mustard bag part of the limited edition Coach 1941 collection. I'm in love with the Coach revamp-...the new creative director is killing it.
Tomorrow I'll be in Dallas for Beauty Con, so if you are there and want to stop by I'll be at booth #26 by the stage. XOXO
¡BESOS!
As promised, here’s another hairstyle inspired New York Fashion Week. This time I’m recreating the incredible braids seen at the Rachel Zoe F/W 2016 presentation.
I love braids…reason why as soon as I saw this hairstyle online and all over social media, I said “I have to this one!!”. These two fishtail braids turn into one…such a cool twist to the braid trend (PLUS if you know how to do a fish tail braid, this one will be easy piecey). Marco Peña, TRESemmé stylist and one of my personal faves, gave me all the extra tricks to achieve this look just like at Rachel Zoe’s presentation.
_____
Spring is almost here...which means: light layering!! When Who What Wear announced their collaboration with Target, I knew I wanted to get this long military vest- and of course I did! I've been wearing it a lot.
The skirt is from H&M, I got it last year but it was recently re-stocked because....why not? it's so cool! I love the faux suede in mustard....I'm doing a remix soon with it! Stay tuned!
Have an amazing Friday and weekend! XOXO

¡BESOS!

When an outfit doesn't make it to the blog...I get to wear it EXACTLY twice! Whoop whoop! I wore this first to the TOUS brunc
h a couple of weeks ago. That day Gabe had a wedding to shoot so he couldn't shoot me or join me at the event.
When we went to LA, I, of course, took it with me. This suede skirt is still one of my favorites...I love the colors and the scallop detail. This time I paired with a striped skirt from the Who What Wear collection from Target. I actually got 3 pieces: this sweater, the blue suede jacket, and the long army-green vest. I'm actually thinking of getting a couple of more pieces from that collection, there were some great pieces.
I wore these boots a lot in LA, so get ready for more posts with them!
Have an amazing day ladies! (and some gent!) XOXO

BESOS.
