VELVET and ROSE GOLD for a non-traditional HOLIDAY Outfit

Friday, December 22, 2017

I absolutely love getting feedback on what you girls what to see on the blog. This season something was clear,   we are a little bit tired of the same over-and-over-and-over recommendations of the sequin or red dress for the Holidays.

So today I'm incorporating some of the biggest trends for the Holiday but in a subtle way and with a color-combo that's not necessarily expected for this season.

I started with this GORGEOUS pink velvet bag from TOUS. There are two color combos I wanted to try with this shade of pink: burgundy + pink, and army green + pink. As you can see, I went for the army green. I love how the pink adds a touch of femininity to such a "tough" color. I wore a nude/camel sweater to keep the focus on the other pieces (and well, because I've been going for loose pieces to be comfortable during pregnancy- and they are perfect if you are planning to enjoy all the delicious food without worrying about the food baby haha)

To bring all the colors together, I added another big trend during the Holidays: METALLICS. In this case, floral metallics in my boots. It's such an easy way to add the trend without feeling too festive. They go great with casual outfits like this one.

The final touches: simple but statement accessories in ROSE GOLD (my absolute favorite). I'm loving this collection by TOUS because you can personalize each piece by adding pendants or medallions. For example: you can see that I added the little bear to one of my earrings and some stones to my bracelet.

What's your go-to non-traditional HOLIDAY outfit?

Fringe Love

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching!
I got a couple of requests of looks for this romantic day…but it really depends on your plans (leave a comment below on your plans and I can do a couple of looks for that!). I actually wore this for a dinner with Gabe and his little sister but I feel like it's a cute look for a casual Valentine's Day at the movie theater.

I'm wearing the comfiest jeans I own (plus they are super flattering and they don't stretch); the sweater is perfect for the cold movie theater (but it is still inviting enough for your crush/bf/husband so he can hug you during the whole movie). I don't necessarily love extremely corny looks, but a touch of burgundy is great for this special day- I added this gorgeous fringe bag from Tous.  Finally to continue the "Valentine's" theme, I added two little bracelets from Tous that say "love" (which are a great gift!! leave a tab open on your phone or computer so he knows you want it wink wink) . I love dark lipsticks; but for this day, make sure the lipstick doesn't stain…you definitely want to be 100% kiss friendly!

Remmeber to let me know your plans for V-day! XOXO

The Craft...

I'm a 90s kid…I love 90s fashion- I guess it's a way of being reminiscent of our childhood. I have two older brothers who were teens in the 90s and I wanted to dress like their friends and like the girls on the shows they watched or like the girls on the bands they listened to.

Having magic powers was one of those things I wished for every single day. My favorite show was (which I still watch on Hulu) Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Also, I would watch "The Craft" on TV every time it was on…a this movie was exactly the inspiration behind this look- yeap because of the baby doll dress, the choker, the knee socks, the dark lips…everything screams The Craft <3

BESOS>

Hooked on you...

I basically just posted a remix on how to wear a similar plaid shirt-dress…but knowing the versatility of the piece, I couldn't control me and I got another one in red plaid and in a lighter fabric. The light fabric is better for the Miami weather; also it's a little sheer so you are going to see me with slip dress underneath whenever I wear it as a dress. I wore this last Saturday; a couple of friends came to our place to hang out before heading out to a Puerto Rican festival . Hope you like the look! XOXO

Eyelet overalls...

DANIELLE NICOLE burgundy bag
Bracelets: Michael Kors, BCBG, Jeweliq, and Vintage

You should never say "I would never wear XXX"- honestly I wouldn't have worn this look a couple of years ago (maybe even months). However, I think that's the best part about fashion...not being afraid to try new trends and styles. This time I'm wearing an black eyelet overall with a crop top, some flatforms, and some fun sunglasses. When I wear black&white clothes, I always end up adding a little bit of color...even if it's just lipstick. I wore this last week to have lunch with the amazing venezuelan blogger and entrepreneur  Valerie from Madame Fedora. What do you think of this out? Would you wear it? Have an amazing day! XOXO

_________
