 I absolutely love sitting and updating the blog- but I had the longest day today and I'm exhausted. I wore this on Monday for a fitting- we were choosing the clothes we were going to wear on today's shooting (for a venezuelan fashion store called Aishop). I can't wait to share my experience and I'm dying to see the final video! So yes, on Monday I headed for the fitting and I finally met some of my favorite venezuelan bloggers. Generalmente me gusta sentarme a escribirles con calma pero hoy tuve un día agotador- ya les contaré más de eso. Esto lo utilicé el lunes para ir a probarme la ropa que iba a utilizar hoy en el video que estuvimos grabando para la tienda venezolana Aishop. Pronto les contaré más de mi experiencia en la grabación pero creo que les va a encantar. El lunes me desperté más temprano de lo normal para ir a la tienda a escoger la ropa..y por supuesto a conocer al resto de las bloggeras (a quienes llevaba siglos siguiendo pero no habíamos tenido la oportunidad de conocernos). Luego fuimos a almorzar, y de verdad que la pasé genial con Luisa de Una Tal Luisa y Fede de My Half Fish Dying. ¡Espero que les haya gustado este outfit sencillo para un almuerzo con amigas!¡Abrazototes!

I've been in Venezuela for more than 3 weeks now..and well, I brought a small suitcase with me. Reason why I have been wearing these shoes and bag non-stop. Every time I travel, especially when it's for a long period of time, I try to bring extremely versatile pieces...and what's more versatile than black heels and a black classic bag? I wore this last week to go to a meeting with a venezuelan store that sells pieces from over 40 venezuelan designers. We have a cool project in mind to feature many designers..stay tuned! Ya tengo alrededor de 3 semanas en Venezuela...y como les conté, no traje muchísima ropa. Por esa razón se preguntarán porque no me quito estos zapatos y la cartera. Siempre que tengo que viajar, especialmente por tanto tiempo, me gusta tener piezas extremadamente versátiles- ¿y qué más versatil que unos buenos tacones negros y una cartera clásica?. Esto lo utilicé la semana pasada para ir a una reunión con una tienda aquí de Venezuela que se llama "Bululú" y vende más de 40 diseñadores venezolanos. Tenemos un proyecto divertido en mente que ya verán por acá. Epsero que les haya gustado este look sencillo y apropiado para un día de reuniones. Un abrazo inmenso!!

I have been in Venezuela for more than 2 weeks now- and I feel so grateful. I've had the chance to meet with several venezuelan designers and brands- I can't wait to start all the projects we have in mind. I also have been to a couple of tv shows to talk about trends and fashion. The first TV segment I did was with a venezuelan brand called Icónicas- there we talked about how to wear crop tops and maxi skirts (both of the trends I'm wearing in this post). After the show, Iconicas gifted a lot of little things as a thank you for being with them on the show... can't wait to show you all of them in the blog! Check out all the Behind the Scenes pics from that day HERE. The next day I went to Merida, a city that's right by the Andes mountains. I have family there, so I always love visiting them. This time, I did a fun photoshoot with two baby cousins (they are around 2 years old). We did it at a botanical garden...so of course, I dressed up a little more to take pics there too! Ya llevo más de 2 semanas en Venezuela... y la he pasado espectacular. He tenido la oportunidad de reunirme con muchísimos diseñadores y marcas Venezolanas- y vienen muchos proyectos muy interesantes. También me siento muy afortunada porque he tenido la oportunidad de ir a dos programas de televisión. El primero fue para uno llamado "Portadas" en el canal Venevisión. Ahí estuve con los diseñadores y directores creativos de la marca Icónicas; y estuvimos hablando de como usar la tendecia de las faldas largas y los crop tops (ambas tendencias las estoy utilizando acá como pueden ver). Al final del día, el equipo de Icónica me regaló muchas cositas hermosas de agradecimiento por haberlos acompañado al programa (pueden ver muchas fotitos de ese día por ACA). Al día siguiente me fui de viaje a Mérida, una ciudad en la parte de la Cordillera de los Andes, a visitar a mi familia. Uno de esos días, me comprometí a hacerle una sesión de fotos a unas primitas de 2 añitos. Fuimos al Jardín Botánico y aproveché para tomar estas fotitos. Espero que les gusten y un abrazo inmensísimo!!!

I got this pants around February and I completely forgot about them... until a couple of weeks ago when we did the "his and her klozet". These pants definitely make a statement- reason why I wouldn't recommend wearing them 3 times in the same month. However, as you can see- they are more versatile than they look. This "his and her klozet" was so much fun to do. We started with these cool shirts from APTBCollective. Gabo wanted to wear his shirt with camo shorts...so I grabbed my camo pants. Then I added the hat and some dark lipstick...and he ended up wearing a hat too of a similar color of my lipstick. I guess you can see we really inspired each other on this one.  Quick parenthesis: with this segment, I'm not saying you have to go out like twins. The whole idea is to show you that you can inspired each other...and that fashion can be fun for them too. Hope you like the pics! XOXO

Este "His and Her klozet" fue divertidísimo de hacer. Empezamos con las camisas de APTBCollective....Gabo se la quiso poner con sus shorts de camuflaje- así que yo agarré mis pantalones de camuflaje. Luego yo le agregué el sombrero y la pintura de labios vinotinta- y Gabo de ahí quiso usar una gorra del mismo color que la pintura. Supongo que se puede decir que nos inspiramos uno al otro. Cabe acotarque esto no lo utilizamos el mismo día; la idea no es decirles que tiene que salir de gemelitos a la calle. Mi misión con esta sección es mostrarles que podemos compartir inspiración al momento de vestirnos. Espero que disfruten estas fotos!!
