When I travel and I'm packing, I try to write down certain outfits....this one was definitely not in my list. I brought that dress for a another jacket and the varsity to wear with jeans. That day San Francisco was hotter than usual (but it was chilly during the day). So this combo ended up being perfect for the day...to walk around comfortably . We headed to Downtown San Francisco and it was so beautiful. Can't wait to go back by the end of the month.
Cuando viajo y estoy empacando, intento anotar todos los outfits que tengo en mente para que no se me olviden. Este fue totalmente improvisado, este vestido lo lleve para usar con otras piezas, y lo mismo con la chaqueta y los zapatos. Ese dÃa hizo más calor de lo esperado, pero igual algo de frÃo en la mañana y noche....haciendo de este look perfecto para nuestro paseo por Downtown. Los zapatos son comodÃsimos, ya los habÃan visto en otro post. Justo a finales de este mes regreso a San Francisco y ando super emocionada.

If there was one place Gabe wanted to cross off their check list was BIG SUR- and it really is a dream!
Before heading South we went to a small tow called Monterey. There was a beautiful historic town with a fisherman's warf.

Si habÃa un lugar que Gabo estaba muy emocionado por ver era Big Sur...y de verdad que es un sueño.
Fuimos a un pequeño pueblo antes de seguir bajando por la costa que se llamaba Monterey (fuimos a la parte histórica), y era un muelle de pescadores con muchos restaurantes y tienditas.

While we were in Napa Valley, a couple of people recommended "Castillo Di Amorosa". It is a castle/vineyard...VERY VERY touristy (get ready for tons of people unless you get there very early). The entrance fee is not too expensive and you get to try 5 wines. You also get to choose which ones to try. We prefer white and sweet wines so all of them were like that.
100% recommended!
Estando en Napa nos recomendaron que fuéramos al Castillo Di Amorosa. Es un sueño de castillo/viñedo....bastante turÃstico (hay que llegar temprano porque de verdad que habÃa muchÃsima gente). La entrada no es cara e incluye una cata de vinos. Uno escoge cuales quieres probar, y si no hubiese sido por que no sabÃamos como llevarlos, probablemente hubiésemos agarrado alguno.

Our official first top in northern California was "Los Gatos" because a dear friend and blogger lives there (Flor from Flor de Maria Fashion). It was a pretty small town. I love how California has such pretty small towns and cities. As you can see, I was still in "airport attire" but I love this comfy outfit for every day too.

couple of weeks ago I had the amazing opportunity to fly to Las Vegas to
preview Jennifer Lopez’s fall collection at Kohl’s AND we got to see her
amazing show. But this wasn’t all, we also got to meet her…TWICE! So let me
tell you all about it!
I
was also super excited to meet the other girls I was sharing this experience
with: Desi Perkins & Cara Loren. The first day we had our styling session
with Jennifer Lopez’s stylist Rob. Each one had a one-on-one with Rob
where we tried different pieces of the collection. There were many that
caught my eye and others that simply impressed me because they are meant for
the body and not a hanger (meaning that they look so gorgeous on). All the
jeans fit like a dream…we all want that JLo booty, right?
By
the time our styling session finished, I had already picked two looks: one for
the backstage tour and one for the actual concert at night. Originally I was
going to wear the maxi dress with heels for the concert, and the jeans with the
top for the day. However, I felt the maxi dress was light, flowy…perfect for
the heat; and the jeans were perfect to dance the night away. This really shows
the versatility of the collection. While we were picking up our things…the team
surprised us and the one and only JENNIFER LOPEZ walked in. She started
chatting with us for a while about why she wanted to partner with bloggers and
how she wanted us to show that it is not all about designer pieces but about
fun pieces that are also affordable. We were left in absolute state of shock.
The
second day we headed backstage and it was so incredible. We talked with the
costume designers, we saw all of JLo’s outfits (if I’m not mistaken, they said
she changes 13 times!! So crazy). We also saw the props that are used, the
stage…even Jennifer’s dressing room! Now we were EXTRA excited for the concert.
We
headed back to the room to rest a little and change for the night. I should
really re-shoot my outfit for the concert; I thought we couldn’t bring the
professional camera so I only have iphone pics (and well, my pic with JLo..but
wait for that second encounter). We had basically the best seats…we were
super close, front, and center! We danced, sang…really had a blast! The
concert is a great mix of all her best-hits, with jaw-dropping choreography,
excellent dancers, and backdrops.
After
the concert, we stayed for the quick meet-and-greet. That’s when they took our
cameras and bags, and no iphone shots with her. We only had ONE chance, ONE
picture. I was pretty sure I was going to look crazy beside her gorgeousness
(everyone asked me, YES she looks as gorgeous in person and her body is
perfection!). But I’m happy I don’t look that crazy in the one shot, and the
outfit also looks cute, right?

Summer is almost gone…which means we should be enjoying
every single ray of sunshine. Reason why I was so excited to partner with
Stella Artois to throw a fun Pool Party with some of my closest girlfriends
(and guy friends who are always too shy to appear in the pictures).
To prepare, I had a blast getting some fun floaties (the
swan was basically most photographed floatie the whole day- but I’m also loving
the flamingo and the cool chill pill!). I wanted
the party to have a fun and colorful vibe, so I added vibrant towels and beach
throws + pillows (Thanks Pinterest for the inspiration!). I also got some
fruits, veggies, and snacks….but what’s a
pool party without some refreshing drinks?
The drink star of the day was, of course, Stella Artois.

out of the bottle, in a chalice, or can be enjoyed other
ways! One of my friend’s husbands is a cocktail specialist… I asked him for some fun ideas to play with the beer. He recommended
an easy summer drink: half Stella Artois beer + half Lemonade Soda + Sliced
Lemons ….so easy and so perfect for a hot summer day. I served it on a mason
tap full of ice and it was perfect and easy for the guests!

Fall is right around the corner. This Fall we want to travel to a couple of U.S cities to really experience the leaves changing and the temperatures dropping (Remember that we don't get Fall in Miami until February... and it lasts approximately a week, two if we are lucky).

The first one I'm wearing two of my favorite trends for Summer: denim skirts and off-the-shoulder tops (Yes, you have seen me wear similar versions to this look many times...but I love it!). To fall-ify it, the off the shoulder top is long sleeved and I paired it with the cutest brown suede boots from Lucky Brand...the lace-up detail and the peep toe style make these boots modern and fun. They are a great transition piece and the color is gorgeous!
For the second look, I'm wearing some my favorite combo: jeans + stripes + red bandana. To finish the look, I added these Lucky Brand Echoh boots...these are a classic lace up style that is a must during the colder days.
