We went to Charleston, South Carolina on the last week of April for a wedding. We drove, it was around 10 hours...but we made it a fun road-trip and we took Chiki with us. It's such a pretty town...we were surprised by how big and beautiful the Downtown area is.

La última semana de abril fuimos a Carolina del Sur para una boda. Manejamos alrededor de 10 horas pero lo hicimos un paseo divertido.. y hasta nos llevamos a Chiki. Es una ciudad MUY pero MUY linda. Estábamos impresionados porque no nos esperábamos que fuese así de grande.

It's been almost 10 years since I moved away from home... I can't believe how the time has flown by. When people ask me what I miss the most about Venezuela is definitely my family.  Fortunately, I see my parents at least three times a year...and I try to cherish those moments with them as much as possible.

While in Chile, we decided to take advantage and kind of celebrate "Mother's Day" early with a special post of us together.  I gifted my mom the pretties necklace from TOUS that says "Mama Love"". She loved and didn't take it all the days we were there <3.

¡Ya han pasado casi 10 años desde que me fui de Venezuela...es increíble como pasa el tiempo! Cuando la gente me pregunta que es lo que más extraño...es definitivamente ver a mis papás todos los días. Afortunadamente, mis papás me visitan seguido en Miami y yo intento ir a verlos frecuentemente.  Y por esto es que cada momento con ellos es aún más especial.

Cuando estábamos en Chile, decidimos aprovechar y celebrar " El Día de La Madre" adelantado con un artículo especial de nosotras juntas. Por su día, le regalé un collar hermosisímo de TOUS que dice "Mama Love". Creo que le encantó porque no se lo quitó ninguno de los días que estuvimos en Chile.

I'm very excited about this post because it's part of a collaboration I did with American Eagle & Lookbook.nu. Maybe you saw the video on the banner above my header...but they have this cool campaign where you upload a video on instagram using the hashtag #rockyourwalk and you get $10 off your $40 purchase. For this collaboration, I chose this awesome striped skirt and paired it with a light chambray shirt (I love this combo of denim and stripes...it's casual and fun). Then I added some burgundy booties that definitely add a statement. I wore this to have a late lunch/early dinner wth Gabo at our favorite restaurant. And this is it for today...I have to run and pack; I'll tell you the destination later!! Hope you liked this outfit and I can't wait to see you rocking your walk!! XOXO

Estoy super emocionada por este post porque es parte de una colaboración que hice con American Eagle & Lookbook.nu. Tal vez viste el video en el banner encima de donde dice "Nany's Klozet"...pero tienen una campaña super chevere donde si subes un video en instagram usando el hashtag #rockyourwalk te da un descuento de $10. Para esta colaboración escogí esta hermosa falda de rayitas y la combiné con una camisa de mezclilla (creo que me encanta esta combinación de rayas y denim...es divertida y casual). Luego agregué estos botines vino que llaman mucho la atención por ser bastante diferentes. Esto lo utilicé para ir a almorzar tarde con Gabo en nuestro restaurante favorito. Like I always say,  my mission with these remixes is to emphasize the importance of buying versatile pieces. You should always have at least three outfits in mind before buying anything. This time I'm wearing a black and hite body-con striped skirt in three completely different ways. The first look is the most expected and simple... a white tee goes perfectly with black wedges for a casual day. My favorite is definitely the second look, I love how these two prints look together. Some tricks for wearing more than one print at a time: the prints should have at least one color in common and one of the prints should be bigger than the other. Finally, you can add a fun color...black and white goes with everything- I knotted the shirt and wore flats for that everyday look.

Como siempre les menciono; la idea de los remixes es mentalizarlas a que al momento de comprar deben tener al menos tres combinaciones en mente por pieza... sino no vale comprarla. En este caso estoy usando una falda ajustada de rayitas blancas y negra de 3 maneras totalmente diferentes. La primera es el más básico y sencillo; con una camiseta blanca para el día a día.  El segundo es el más "arriesgado" por la mezcla de estampados pero es mi favorito  (ya saben, el truco para usar varios estampados al mismo tiempo es: 1. que los estampados tengan al menos un color en común y 2. un estampado debe ser más grande que el otro). Y finalmente con un color llamativo con una blusa azul rey- anudada y en flats para un look más casual.
