Just like anybody I have my ups and downs. There are days when I barely want to get out of bed. If it wasn't for my son, I probably wouldn't. But we have to adjust, evolve, and shift our routines. I've been trying to stay productive by:
1. Making my bed. It takes just two minutes and the mood in the room changes. This is super important to us because our little office is in the bedroom.
2. Put on a little makeup. I feel that a tiny bit bit of blush makes me feel better. Oh and maybe a dab of perfume!
3. Get out of your PJs. I know sweatpants and leggings are the best. But when you put on a cute outfit, you are ready to start working!
4. And yes! PUT SHOES ON! It's like my body telling my mind to get things done, go places (even if it's in the WWW world)
After all that we start brainstorming ideas. We came up with this concept of DAYDREAMING in the "new normal" life. So I'm just there, with my shoes and my mind is in the clouds. I think it came out super cute! What do you think?

Como todos en esta pandemia, he tenido mis días buenos y otros no tanto. Hay días que si no fuese por mi chiquitín, me quedaría durmiendo las 24 horas. Pero todos tenemos que ajustarnos a este nuevo mundo, cambiar nuestras rutinas y evolucionar.
He estado intentando mantenerme ocupada , y estas 4 cositas me cambian el ánimo.
1. Hacer mi cama- son 60 segundos y el ambiente cambia. Para nosotros es super importante porque nuestra oficinista está en el cuarto, y que esté ordenada nos ayuda mucho.
2. Maquíllarme un poco. Puede ser un poco de corrector y rubor, y ya. Lo hago por mí y porque me hace sentir mejor.
3. ¡Quitarme la pijama!!
4. ¡Ponerme zapatos! Es como si mi cuerpo le dijera a mi mente que hay que hacer cosas e ir a sitios (así sean sitios web jajaja).
Para esta sesión de fotos, quise que el espejo fuera como un reflejo de mi mente soñando despierta, soñando con estar afuera, con esa paz de buscarle forma a las nubes. Creo que quedaron chevereps, ¿Qué dicen?

Si me siguen desde hace mucho saben que yo era de esas que no iba a ningún lado sin tacones. Con el pasar de los años he aprendido a aceptar mi altura...y en ese momento me volví adicta a los zapatos bajitos: de goma, botines, alpargatas, sandalias..TODO.

Maybe you remember this look when I wore it to Hispanicize; I didn't want to publish a lot of pics of the full outfit because the collection with Melao wasn't out yet. As you can see, I'll be showcasing the collection's versatility. This time I wore the print blazer with the black skirt and the fuchsia top. The top has the coolest sheer panels check it out here.

Tal vez se acuerdan de este outfit cuando lo utilicé para Hispanicize; no quise publicar muchas fotos ni el look completo porque la colección con Melao no había salido todavía. Poco a poco les voy a ir mostrando la versatilidad de las piezas. En esta ocasión les muestro como separé el set y utilicé la chaqueta con la falda negra y el top rosado. El top tiene unos paneles transparentes muy lindos que no se ven por la chaqueta, pero pueden verlo acá.
Una vez más les recuerdo del lanzamiento de la colección mañana (Sábado 26 de Abril); voy a estar en el Blush de Sunset de 12 a 2pm y en el Blush de Brickell de 3 a 5pm. Los veo ahí.

I'm really excited about sharing this video for multiple reasons. First of all, I love the creative process when making a video: coming up with an idea, thinking about the places, the outfits, etc. When Sole Society reached out to do the video, I instantly thought of "summer sandals". We were traveling to Puerto Rico that week, and it was the perfect setting for the video.
Second, all the clothes I'm wearing in the video are part of my collection with a venezuelan brand called Melao. This is just a sneak peek, it's a small collection but there are pieces that weren't shown in the video. The collection hits stores in a couple of weeks; I'll share where it will be available soon.
Third, we are really happy with the final result. We really put our hearts into it and I feel like we are getting better. I hope you enjoy the video too! XOXO

Me emociona muchísimo compartir este video por múltiples razones. Primero que nada me encanta el proceso creativo de hacer un video: pensar en la idea general, los lugares que se van a utilizar, los outfits, etc. Cuando Sole Society me contactó para hacer un video; inmediatamente pensé en sandalias para el verano. Ya que ibamos a estar en Puerto Rico, aprovechamos para grabarlo todo en el espectacular Viejo San Juan.
Segundo, toda la ropa que estoy utilizando en este video es parte de mi colección con Melao- es como un adelanto porque todavía faltan piezas por mostrar. La colección va a estar a la venta a mediados de abril en Estados Unidos y en mayo en Venezuela. También voy a estarla vendiendo en mi página pronto.
Tercero, de verdad que le pusimos mucho cariño y esfuerzo al video (esto que ven fuimos solamente Gabo y yo.. y un poco de ayuda del papá de Gabo), y estamos muy contentos con el resultado final. ¡Espero que lo disfruten tanto como nosotros! Last month, Pink&Pepper contacted me to do a fun video about "back to school"...and I was thrilled to do it since lately we have been focusing on doing videos. I absolutely love the process; from the creative concept, the styling, direction, and editing....but I know, we still have a lot to learn. The only direction they gave me for the video was "edgier" and "fall-ish" outfits...there are 6 looks in total. I don't want to talk to much, I hope you like the video...I really do!

El mes pasado, Pink&Pepper me escribió para hacer un video de regreso a clases...yo encantada. Ultimamente nos hemos estado enfocando en videos y me encanta todo el proceso- desde el concepto creativo, el estilimo, la dirección, la edición....si, todavía tenemos mucho que aprender pero poco a poco. Son 6 outfits en total y cada uno tenía como su concepto. La idea es que fuera looks de transición para el otoño- casi me derrito..en Miami en Julio con suéteres. Pero sin mucho que decir, espero que disfruten el video, lo hicimos con mucho cariño!

After walking around in NYC, we got ready for Naughty Monkey's fall preview event. I'm going to start telling you a little more about my outfit: since it was a fall preview, we got inspired by different fall trends. One of the trends that caught my eye was "White out" - wearing white from head-to-toe; however, I decided to add a pop of color with the shoes (and they are the perfect dark red for fall). I had so much fun at the event- I was one of the hostess along Ashley, Camila, Flor & Amanda. I swear that I had a blast meeting some of my readers... you girls ROCK! Después de pasear un rato por NYC, fuimos a arreglarnos para el evento de Naughty Monkey. Empiezo contándoles de mi outfit: ya que era un adelanto al público de los nuevos zapatos para otoño, tuvimos que ver tendencias para la próxima temporada. Una de las grandes tendencias es "White Out" ( o toda de blanco), así que quise incorporar esta tendencia en mi outfit del evento pero darle un SUPER pop de color en los zapatos (que también son del color del otoño 2012: rojo vino). El evento estuvo cheverísimo, yo era una de las anfitrionas junto a Ashley, Camila, Flor y Amanda. I feel like in the past couple of months, the fashion events in Miami have been increasing like crazy- and I have to admit that, because I live a little far from Miami (just 30 min but it adds up).. I get a little lazy sometimes! But I promised myself that I really need to attend all the events that I can, specially because I love meeting and spending time with other bloggers. Yesterday, I went to the "Fashion Bloggers Night Out" at Neiman Marcus- I was a little late (fashionably late) but I was able to list to the lovely Annie (The Fashion Poet), Jenny (LopezJennyLopez), Karla (KarGarOhhSnap), Ginger (Electric Blogarella) & Maria (The Wordy Girl)- they talk about the growing Miami Fashion scene and about the importance of bloggers.
