This is my second time wearing this maxi dress as a top...the first one was during Swim Week but I went for leather shorts and a strappy bralette for an edgier feel. Click here to check it out. 

 I definitely have to wear it as an actual dress next time. But there is something about it that feels a little "old"lady, I think it's the neckline. But I'm sure I'll wear it a coverup for the beach! REMIX coming soon!! Actually, more remixes for 2018 FOR SURE!

 This was during our little runaway trip because of the hurricane. We had the best road trip buddies: Alex and Gaby. Best "fashion" part? Because of the small luggage, we got to share clothes. These are Gaby's vintage shorts!

Yo siempre dándole las vueltas a las piezas. Este vestido lo compré hace un par de meses pero solo lo he usado como top ( tal vez lo recuerden durante La Semana Swim en Miami que lo usé con shorts de cuero y un bralette con muchas tiritas). 

Me tengo que poner las pilas y usarlo como un vestido de verdad. Lo que pasa es que como vestido se ve un poco como de "viejita". Pero definitivamente quiero usarlo abierto sobre un traje de baño.

I wore this top for the Summer BBQ I hosted. Check it out by clicking HERE. But I couldn't resist getting the matching skirt. I got it online since it wasn't available in my local target and I'm loving how they look together!  I've been such a fan of gingham way before it was the it print.

I've been very into pops of red recently and this bag + lipstick is my favorite add-on to any outfit.

I wore this to an event where Gabe was speaking about photography. So proud of him!

Este top con este estampado a cuadritos lo utilicé en la parrillada que les mostré  hace unas semanas. Pero como pueden ver, venía con una falda. En mi Target más cercano no tenían la falda, así que la pedí por internet. Este estampado es realmente de mis favoritos, llevo años usándolo y amo que este tan de moda ahorita.

También creo que se han podido dar cuenta que me encantan los toques de rojo. Esta cartera combina perfecto con este labial - por eso no los he dejado de usar.

Today I’m really excited to go back to my roots and do a little REMIX with probably the most versatile piece of clothing a woman can own: a white shirt. When I travel and I'm packing, I try to write down certain outfits....this one was definitely not in my list. I brought that dress for a another jacket and the varsity to wear with jeans. That day San Francisco was hotter than usual (but it was chilly during the day). So this combo ended up being perfect for the day...to walk around comfortably .  We headed to Downtown San Francisco and it was so beautiful. Can't wait to go back by the end of the month.

Cuando viajo y estoy empacando, intento anotar todos los outfits que tengo en mente para que no se me olviden. Este fue totalmente improvisado, este vestido lo lleve para usar con otras piezas, y lo mismo con la chaqueta y los zapatos. Ese día hizo más calor de lo esperado, pero igual algo de frío en la mañana y noche....haciendo de este look perfecto para nuestro paseo por Downtown. Los zapatos son comodísimos, ya los habían visto en otro post. Justo a finales de este mes regreso a San Francisco y ando super emocionada.

Honestly, the best part of meeting my now-husband at the young age of 17 years old is seeing him grow and become the amazing man he is (not that he wasn't amazing before, but he was just a little boy!). When we started dating he was studying pre-me, he later switched to psychology (and even though he has a Doctorate degree in Psychology, his heart and soul fell in love with photography along the way). One of his dreams/goals was to work with Leica somehow...and he really went for it. He headed to a meet-and-greet with the executives at one of their stores and offered his services. Yesterday (while wearing this outfit, hence this story), I saw him do a talk on photography at the Leica store. It was PACKED, more than 100 people RSVPd...and I was there, sitting first row thinking how I can wait to see him fulfill all of his dreams <3

La mejor parte de haber conocido a mi ahora-esposo a la corta edad de 17 años es verlo crecer y convertirse en la increíble persona que es hoy en día. Cuando empezamos a salir, Gabo estaba estudiando para ser veterinario; después de entregar un examen vació de química, se dio cuenta que lo de el no era medicina. Se cambió a psicología y aunque tiene un doctorado en esa carrera, se enamoró del mundo de la fotografía en el camino. Un día mientras soñábamos sobre el futuro me contó que una de sus metas era trabajar de alguna manera para Leica. Pero el no es de esos que se queda soñando despierto en su casa, en esos días fue a una reunión en la tienda con los ejecutivos (y siendo lo simpático y profesional que es el, en una semana estaba usando una de sus cámaras y exhibiendo sus fotos durante el Art Basel). Ayer (cuando estaba usando eso, ¡por eso esta historia tan cursi!) lo vi dar una charla de fotografía a una audiencia de más de 100 personas en la misma tienda Leica....y yo, sentada en primera fila, solo podía pensar que esto es solo el comienzo.... ¡2016 vamos por ti! 

During New York Fashion Week, I had the opportunity to shop some of the things from the Peter Pilotto for Target before they were available to the public. This shirt was one of my favorites; I actually got it a size bigger...I like blouses to be comfy and a little bit oversized.  Since the pieces had lots of colors and prints, I wrote an article called "How to wear the Peter Pilotto for Target collection?"..and I actually wore it exactly how I said I would there!! I've worn this look a couple of times already... something always happens and we forget to take the pics. I wore it for a shooting with Gabo and then on the road for Steffy's wedding. Durante la semana de la moda, tuve la oportunidad de comprar algunas cositas de Peter Pilotto antes de que salieran a la venta oficialmente. Esta camisa fue de mis piezas favoritas y la agarré en una talla más grande...pero me gusta así no me queda tan apretadita.. Justamente la usé como les conté que la iba a usar en el artículo de "¿Cómo usar la colección de Peter Pilotto para Target"?; también me la imagino con unos pantalones de vestir para usar en el trabajo. Este look lo he utilizado varias veces; la primera vez para acompañar a Gabo durante una grabación... y después para viajar a la boda de Steffy- peor siempre pasaba algo y no podíamos tomar las fotos. ¡FELIZ FIN DE SEMANA!!

From time to time, I go through a "blogger crisis"; I feel like, after 3 years of documenting my daily looks, you have already seen that look someohow(or at least a very similar combination). This stresses me out a little, I really want each outfit to be better than the last one. However, that's okay too...rewearing clothing is okay, and having a style (which means similar combos) is okay too. For me blogging has been an evolution; lately we started editing the pictures a little (just the lighting and stuff) in order to make them prettier and different. Also, we have been scouting different locations to vary the background. However, I lack modeling skills...I'm not a model and I don't pretend to be one but I don't want to bore you guys with the same standing pose. I wore this last Sunday for casual and very Sunday-ish day. This one is extremely easy to recreate: a basic white top, some jeans, a statement necklace, and a fun pair of shoes! I think I wrote too much today...so that's it! Have an amazing day and week! XOXO!

De vez en cuando paso por crisis "blogueras"; siento que de alguna forma u otra, cada outfit tiene que ser mejor que el anterior. Llevo documentando mis looks diarios desde hace casi 3 años y hay días que lo que sea que me ponga "ya lo han visto" ( o al menos una combinación similar). Y esto me causa como estrés...pero siempre he dicho que soy como ustedes, repito ropa y está bien si alguno que otro look se vea similar a algo que ya te pusiste. Pero esto de bloguear es evolucionar...no se si se han dado cuenta, pero empezamos a editar las fotos un poco (no tipo photoshop, pero si mejorar la luz y darles efectos diferentes a las fotos). También hemos estado buscando otros sitios para las fotos y darle otra vibra. Lo que se me hecho difícil es "posar"; siempre les he dicho, yo no soy modelo y no pretendo serlo (pero tampoco quiero aburrirlas con lo mismo una y otra vez). Esto lo utilicé el domingo pasado; un look casual y dominguero fácil de recrear- solo una camisa blanca, unos jeans, un collar llamativo, y unos zapatos coloridos. Creo que me extendí por el día...pero espero que disfruten las fotos! Un abrazo inmenso pero inmenso!!
