I love all-black outfits..but more than that, I love a bold pop of red- sometimes it is with just a bold lip color but this time I added the coolest red moto jacket from Rebecca Minkoff.

¡A mi me encantan los otufits "total black" (negros de pies a cabeza)- pero también me encanta como se ve un total black con un toque de color.  Hay días en el que es solo un toque en el labial, y otros donde me provoca agregar una pieza llamativa como esta chaquetota perfecta de Rebecca Minkoff.

To go to Cuenca we drove up from Guayaquil, it was a 5 hour trip (approximately). We stopped several times since we were a big group and someone was always hungry or wanted to go to do bathroom...or to take a pic (that was Gabe all the time).

The road was a little foggy but when it showed us the view...it was absolutely beautiful!.

Para ir a Cuenca manejamos desde Guayaquil. Son alrededor de 4-5 horas...o bueno eso fue lo que nos tardamos nosotros porque, al ser un grupo grande, siempre había alguien que tenía hambre, ganas de ir al baño, o de tomar fotos (ese último era Gabo todo el tiempo).

Había muchísima neblina, pero cuando despejaba, era realmente hermoso.

Espero que les hayan gustado estos 3 posts de Cuenca...cuéntenme si alguna vez han visitado este hermoso lugar. ¡BESOS!

Before people get confused, let me quickly explain this: I'm from Venezuela but currently my parents and older brother are living in Ecuador. I also have a couple of cousins there.

Every year we used to meet in Merida (a gorgeous city in the mountains). This year we met in Cuenca...which actually reminded me a lot of Mérida because of the weather and scenery. We rented a house and it was 13 of us staying together- it was basically a weekend of playing cards, volleyball...I was bonding with my niece and nephew. It was really fun.

Siento que tengo que hacer una pequeña aclaratoria, porque me han llegado preguntas sobre si soy de Ecuador ya que hemos estado viajando para allá últimamente. Mi papá está allá , mi hermano también, y un par de primos...por eso vamos, para visitar a la familia.

Cada año nos solámos reunir en una ciudad de Venezuela que se llama Mérida- de donde es mi familia paterna. Este año nos reunimos un grupito en Cuenca...que por cierto se parece mucho a Mérida por su clima y sus paisajes de montaña. Alquilamos una casa donde nos quedamos todos y fueron unos días de jugar cartas, volleyball, compartir...y bueno yo estuve mayormente con mis sobrinos- aprovechandolos.

I have to admit that I changed several times a day while in New York; I rarely post winter outfits and I had to take advantage of every second…and I loved getting bundled up! This look is full of versatile "must-haves". I got these jeans at H&M almost 3 years ago, I can't believe I wasn't sure  about buying them. I have worn them SO MUCH over the years- note to self: double check because I think I should update its respective remix. I also love this moto jacket, the price point is a little higher. However, it is a classic piece; and investing in good quality items that we are going to war a lot is definitely okay. I took this blanket scarf to wear with one look; it was so warm and cozy that I ended up wearing it over and over. Being in New York during the coldest days they've had in 20 years made me realize how lucky we are in Miami. That's it for today… I'm out to continue working on my thesis! XOXO

Admito que estando en Nueva York me cambié varias veces al día para aprovechar y tomar fotos de looks invernales.  Viviendo en una ciudad donde es verano el 90% del año,  me gusta poder tomar fotos bastante abrigada. Este look está lleno de piezas versátiles que han visto millones de veces en el blog. Estos jeans los compré en H&M hace casi 3 años y les he sacado muchísimo provecho (tengo que revisar cuando fue la última vez que hice un remix con ellos, para actualizarlos).  Esta chaqueta de "cuero" es una de esas piezas que no puede faltar en tu guardarropa. La bufanda me la lleve a Nueva York para usar en un solo outfit y la terminé usando con casi todos; era la más calientita que tenía. De verdad que admiro a las chicas con inviernos brutales que se toman fotos en falditas como si fuese verano…por mucho que uno se queja de la humedad de Miami, somos muy afortunados de tener este clima todo el año. ¡Les mando un abrazo grandote que me toca seguir trabajando en mi tesis! BESOS.

Last week, I hosted a fun event at GUESS Dadeland with Marie Claire to celebrate the new collection of jeans Flexjeans (which are the ones I'm wearing and are extremely comfy…my mom even got them too because she couldn't believe how comfy they are). I paired them with a white top (which has a cool lace detail that you can't see!), some statement shoes, and a gorge moto jacket with quilted leather. I had a great time at the event..there was music, drinks, sweets, and of course, amazing people! Check out the pics below! Have an amazing weekend!!

La semana pasada, fui la anfitriona de un evento en GUESS Dadeland junto a Marie Claire para celebrar el lanzamiento de sus nuevos jeans FLEXJEANS (que por cierto son los que estoy utilizando y son extremadamente cómodos!). Los quise combinar con una camisa blanca sencilla, unos tacones negros, y una chaqueta gris con toques de cuero. El evento estuvo genial…con música, bebidas, y dulces! ¡Les dejo muchas fotitos abajo! I feel like I went a little overboard with planning outfits so I would always have content while being in NYC- we took this pictures while I was packing and I actually wore it during my second week of internship with black flats. My idea was having outfits with several layers so I could adapt them depending on the weather (when I wore it was still cold; but nowadays, I would wear it without the beanie and without the big black coat). I almost re-wore it to take pictures with it in NYC because there's something I don't love about the photos...but whatever- what's done is done. When I wore this look I felt like a fish out of the water...I feel like most of the people in NYC wouldn't wear colors this bright until the actual summer. But it was fun to step away from the typical NYC black/white. Have an amazing day! XOXO

Creo que exageré planeando outfits para no quedarme sin contenido en Nueva York- este lo hice todavía estando en Miami mientras hacia las maletas y lo utilicé la segunda semana durante la pasantía con flats negros. Mi idea era tener un outfit con bastantes capas que aguantaran el frío de Nueva York a finales de marzo...si de marzo, estoy bastante atrasada (hoy en día lo utilizaría sin la chaqueta negra y sin el sombrerito...pero todavía se necesitan dos capitas). Estuve apunto de pedirle a Gabo mientras estaba en NYC que volvieramos a tomar estas fotos porque hay algo que no me convencía de ellas. Como les digo, si las tuviese que volver a tomar, lo haría sin la chaqueta y sin el sombrero....pero a lo echo pecho! Cuando utilicé este look me sentí como un pez fuera del agua...creo que casi NADIE en Nueva York usa un color tan llamativo  hasta julio/agosto. Les deseo un feliz día! Un abrazo grandísimo
