I’ve been living in Miami for 13 years already (which is CRAZY, time does fly!). For 8 years, I would travel back to Venezuela to spend the Holidays with my family- and my husband would go to Puerto Rico where he is from.
We wouldn’t even decorate our house because we were always traveling. We got married in 2014 but it wasn’t until Nico was born last year that we started thinking about creating our OWN little traditions (because yes, we are both Latinos but each country has completely different traditions).
Last year Nico was 6.5 months and now he is a year and a half. He is still too little to understand what’s happening but it means so much to us to see him enjoy such a wonderful time.
We started this year by putting the decorations together. I was nervous about getting a tree and that he would try to steal the ornaments. But I took a chance with a little tree. Yes, it did happen…more than once! BUT he eventually understood that they are not toys.
A few nights before Christmas, after putting our little one to sleep, we sat down in our living room, put a Holiday movie in the LG OLED TV, and we started to wrap all the presents. We ended up watching a few movies but it was such a nice way to spend time together, talk, drink wine, and get the presents READY! I have a feeling that this will become a yearly tradition.
When I was little I remember always partying with my big family and opening the presents at midnight. However, he is still too little. So the adults exchange the gifts at midnight and then in the morning, we let him open his gifts!!
To make it feel extra Holiday-ish (since we live in Miami and it hasn’t been under 80 degrees since January), we put a fireplace in the LG OLED B9 while opening gifts and then proceeded to watch a Holiday movie with him while all in our fun elf Pjs!! Hopefully he’ll dress up with us a while !
Let me tell you a bit about the LG OLED TV B9:
My first impression was WOW, it is so sleek! It’s design adds the final sophisticated touch to any room. Then as soon as we turned it on, I was impressed with the quality. It produces one billion rich colors, including perfect blacks and infinite contrast. For my experts out there: it has the power of 8.3 million individually lit pixels. And as a smart TV, it was very easy to download all the apps and streaming services!
Pretending I'm super cool in Acorn Street 🤣...but the truth is, it was a bad idea to be wearing these boots in a cobblestoned street! According to Wiki, " Acorn Street in Beacon Hill is often mentioned as the "most frequently photographed street in the United States." It is a narrow lane paved with cobblestones that was home to coachmen employed by families in Mt. Vernon and Chestnut Street mansions"
Also, I totally stole this hoodie from Mr. Gabe. He rocks as a shirt, the fit for me is more like a hoodie dress- which I LOVED, especially when paired with these over-the-knee boots.

Dándome de la mas cool en una de las calles de piedritas más antigua de Boston llamada Acorn Street (la cual también, según Wiki, es una de las calles más fotografiadas de Estados Unidos) - pero si les soy sincera, fue una mala idea andar caminando por ahí con estas botas.
El hoodie/suéter es de Mr. Gabe. Obviamente a el le queda genial como camisa- a mi me quedaba larga como un vestidito (cosa que me encantó). Me parece que este estilo de suéter ancho se ve genial con botas a la rodilla para esos días de otoño que están a la vuelta de la esquina.

This has been one of my favorite collaborations this year, because it was really out of my comfort zone and pushed me to bring to bring you different content. The whole idea with this Instagram campaign with BMW was to show you around Miami and embracing the city I live in.
The adventure started with the M-Track Day; where we got to race many BMW cars. Then BMW South Florida lent me a car for a little over a month drive around. My first stop was Wynwood, since we ended up taking photos I shared it as a blogpost HERE- and then we did a mini road trip to Islamorada, which also had its own blogpost since it was more of a trip (see it HERE).
But the recommendations kept coming on Instagram and I want to share them over here too!

Esta ha sido una de mis colaboraciones favoritas este año porque realmente me sacó de mi zona de comfort y me obligó a mostrarles otro tipo de contenido. La idea de esta campaña de Instagram con BMW era mostrarles diferentes areas de Miami y mostrarles mis sitios favoritos.
La aventura empezó con lo que llaman M-Track Day; donde manejamos diferentes carros de BMW. Después tuve uno de los carros por un poco más de un mes y llevarlo a todos estos sitios que les conté. Also, in the back, you can see "Ball and Chain": best place to dance the night away!

En esta zona van a encontrar partidas de dominó, música en vivo (salsa por supuesto 💁🏻), y las mejores coladas!☕️A nosotros nos gusta mucho ir a un sitio de heladitos 🍦 que se llama AZUCAR ( tienen los mejores sabores: dulce de leche, galleta maría, café con leche etc) y atrás también pueden ver "Ball & Chain", genial para ir a bailar 💃🏽 espero que les hayan gustado todas estas recomendaciones por Miami y cuéntenme si quieren más❣️❣️

A true Miamian avoids South Beach; instead we prefer going to Mid Beach or North Miami beach for quieter beach time! 🏖 Last weekend I headed there with a couple of friends, few floaties, and lots of sunscreen! My recommendation is to try to park around 75th and Collins, there is a big parking lot right across the beach and there are gorgeous pastel art deco buildings that really capture the beauty of this city!

Todos los que vivimos Miami le huimos a South Beach (por la cantidad de turistas); preferimos ir a las playas que están un poco más al norte ya que son más tranquilas (¡pero igual de lindas!). Mi recomendación es que se estacionen en la 75 y Collins; hay un estacionamiento justo en frente de la playa y van a ver muchos edificios estilo "Art Deco" muy característicos de la ciudad!
When it's time for some luxury shopping: the Design District is the place to be. Taking advantage of the mid-year designer sales, I did a bit of credit card damage (I got tons of questions, it's the Celine blue bag you have seen around!!). But iIt's not only about the haute design, there are great restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, galleries, and bars in this beautiful area.

Si tienen ganas de hacer compritas (¡de las especiales! ...de esas cuando te quieres dar un gusto después de mucho trabajo!🛍🛍) en Miami, les recomiendo el area del Design District- la architectura es bellísima y van a encontrar las tiendas más lujosas de todo Miami. Pero no es solo para ir de shopping, en esta zona hay muchos restaurants, galerías, bars, y cafés...y lugares para fotitos.
This post is not the typical fashion blogger post- but I miss sharing about me and my day to day. And honestly, you can see how sticky I was. It was so so so freaking hot that day.
Almost two weeks ago, I attended "El Clásico" game with Shopstyle and a super duper incredible group of lifestyle bloggers all over the country. It was such an amazing experience and all my soccer fan friends were extremely jelly.
I don't follow soccer but it is a sport that I understand, grew watching in Venezuela, and loved experiencing it LIVE!
My favorite thing was watching people's reactions to goals or fouls , everyone is so passionate and the energy is just INCREDIBLE.
We all were gifted shirts from Barça (crazy Real Madrid fans, don't get crazy...I was just a fan of the fun)- the shirts had our last names in the back (such a cool detail). Thanks again Shopstyle for a fantastic day!!
Este post no es el típico artículo de la Nany fashion blogger- pero siempre me ha encantado compartir con ustedes un poquito más allá de ese outfit "perfecto" (y realmente ene la primera foto se ve lo derretido de mi maquillaje y lo pegajoso de mi cabello- ¡porque realmente hacía un calor que ni se imaginan!)
Hace casi dos semanas, fui a uno de los juegos de fútbol de Real Madrid vs Barça en Miami junto a Shopstyle y un grupo de bloggers más que increíble. Yo no soy la más fanática del fútbol como tal pero es un deporte que entiendo y crecí viendo en Venezuela- y verlo en VIVO fue mundial. Todos mis amigos y familiares que son mega fanáticos se estaban muriendo de los celos.
Mi parte favorita era verle la cara a la gente en cada reacción; se siente una energía y una pasión indescriptible.
A todos los bloggers nos regalaron las camisas (así que los de Real Madrid, no se pongan intensos- somos fans de la diversión)- y tenían nuestros apellidos en la parte de atrás. MUY COOL. Mil gracias otra vez a Shopstyle por la experiencia.

As the holidays approach, I’ve been trying to do all the holiday shopping on time. I used to be the one running around the mall on December 23rd.
When giving and receiving gifts, I appreciate gifts that are thoughtful and personal. I love when a gift screams: “This reminded me of you” instead of “Here’s a generic gift”.

I have already shared tons of pictures of the wedding, especially on Instagram but I want to tell you about my experience, how did it all go, and give you some tips in the process.
I'm starting the series with the "DRESS"- no matter if you love fashion or not…the wedding dress is one of those things we start dreaming about when we are about 5…
When I was little I wanted a strapless mermaid dress… when I got engaged, something changed. I didn't want any cup-cakey dress or anything that reminded me of a quinceañera dress. Early in the process, we knew we wanted to get married on the beach…so I knew I wanted (1) a flowy, not heavy dress, (2) some type of back detail or a bare back, and (3) I realized I was more drawn to embellished dresses than lace dresses.

Ya he compartido muchísimas fotos en Instagram de la boda, pero quiero compartir con ustedes mi experiencia, contarles como fue todo, y darles una que otra recomendación del proceso.
Voy a empezar con el vestido, porque en mi opinión es lo primero que uno busca o piensa en.
Cuando era pequeña soñaba con un vestido strapless, en corte sirena…pero al comprometerme algo cambió, no quería el vestido típico de novia. Como la boda iba a ser en la playa yo quería (1) un vestido fresco y ligero, (2) con la espalda al descubierto o algún detalle en la espalda, y (3) me di cuenta que me gustaban más la pedrería delicada que el encaje.
We all know that January is "resolution month"…and I think that we all start with "being healthy and exercise more". I think the best way to keep this resolution is to work out with your significant other, a family member, or a close friend. Going alone can get monotonous and boring. No matter who is going with you, talk with her/him and make an agreement to go X times a week and to always keep each other motivated. Many studies prove that people that exercise together are 7 times more likely to maintain an active lifestyle. You won't only keep each other motivated but also you get to bond. Gabe works a lot (most days of the week until 9pm)..so spending time in the morning with him working out is something we are trying to do.
In this post, Gabe and I are wearing the last collection from H&M SPORT (available online and on select stores). I loved the collection…so many fun prints and colors. The quality of the pieces is incredible and the price-point even better. They have a great variety of pieces according to activity..from running to yoga and outdoor activities. Enero es un mes lleno de propósitos de año nuevo…y creo que todos intentamos ser más saludables en el nuevo año. La mejor forma de mantener este propósito es hacer ejercicio con tu pareja, con algún familiar, o amiga ya que ir hacer ejercicio solo puede hacerse monótono y aburrido. Llega a un acuerdo con quien sea que te acompañe; hablen de cuantas veces a la semana quieren ir y que tipo de ejercicio quieren hacer. Muchos estudios demuestran que las personas que hacen ejercicio juntas son siete veces mas propensas en mantener una rutina en comparación a aquellas personas que se ejercitan solas. No solo van a ayudarse uno al otro, sino que tambien van a compartir; Gabo trabaja mucho (la mayoría de la semana hasta las 9pm) y hacer ejercicio juntos antes de que se vaya al trabajo es una manera de pasar un rato juntos diariamente.
En este post, tanto Gabo como yo, estamos utilizando la nueva colección de ropa de hacer ejercicio para H&M (disponible tanto online como en ciertas tiendas).
