Life is definitely better by the ocean!
I feel like I belong by the ocean. My dream is to live in a house where you can hear the waves at night. I got married by the ocean. I feel the happiest around the sand, the blue ocean, the salty water. Maybe I was a mermaid in a parallel universe (not to say another life haha).
I love one-piece swimsuits, but I love bikinis too! This one is by my favorite swimwear brand called 6ShoreRoad. You have probably seen me wear this brand dozens of time in the blog (I'm going to link here in case you feel like checking them out!). I really like the halter and the ruffle, it's super comfortable - and the print is adorable. Well. in full honestly, I feel like 6ShoreRoad has the MOST amazing prints, don't you think? I'm going to link some of my faves below!

Siento el Caribe en mi sangre. Amo la playa. Amo estar rodeada de arena. Mi sueño es vivir tan cerca del mar que pueda oír las olas mientras duermo. También soñaba casarme frente al mar, así que voy por buen camino. Tal vez en otra vida fui sirena (bueno, en un mundo paralelo ya que no creo en sirenas).
Me encantan los trajes de baño de una pieza pero eso no quiere decir que no me guste usar bikinis. Este es de una de mis marcas favoritas llamada 6ShoreRoad. Probablemente me han visto usarla decenas de veces. De este me encanta el estilo halter y el volantico que tiene. Lo mejor de esta marca son los estampados, les voy a dejar abajo mis favoritos y me cuentan que les parecen!

Oh HELLO HELLO!! I've never done a "travel" post like this one...so I'm pretty excited!
I recently traveled with my husband to Mexico for almost 10 days...first we stayed at El Dorado Seaside Suites in Riviera <aya. The staff at this hotel was out of this world, I really want to thank the Karisma team because we felt like royalty. The hotel is all-inclusive (food + drinks + some activities); which means you don't have to worry about anything.
We had a pretty planned schedule, so I narrowed it down to the 10 activities you MUST do if you visit any of the Karisma Hotels in Mexico.

Recientemente fui a México con mi esposo por casi 10 días. Primero nos quedamos en El Dorado Seaside Suites en Riviera Maya. Lo primero que tengo que decir del hotel es sobre la atención...no tienen idea lo amables, nos trataron como si fuésemos de la realeza. El hotel lo incluye todo: comidas, bebidas, y ciertas actividades...lo que hace que sea 100% relax.
Estuvimos bastante ocupados con un itinerario a millón. Pero aquí van las 10 actividades si vas a alguno de los hoteles Karisma en México.

Y ya con la primavera acá, se acercan los meses calientes...¿quién más esta emocionada por aquí?
Yo hoy estoy muy contenta de unirme a la revista PEOPLE para contarles algunos de mis favoritos para esta temporada- que te ayudaran a tener un look muy fresco esta Primavera y se convertirán en tus favoritos también (¡¡búsquenme en la revista People de este mes!!)
Yo no pude esperar y planifiqué un viaje a México, y como pueden ver...me traje estos 10 favoritos conmigo. Empecemos.
1. Flawlessly Smooth legs with Gillette Venus Swirl:
Before ditching your tights and getting into cute dresses (or a bikini if you are on vacation), the first step is to remove hair!. Gillette Venus reached out to try the Swirl; and I recommend it 100%. It glides easily over tricky areas like knees and ankles…making shaving easy and quick!
Antes de darles un descanso a tus pantalones y empezar a usar vestidos frescos (o un bikini si estás de vacaciones como yo), el primer paso es deshacernos de ese vello tan fastidioso. Gillete Venus me contactó para probar la hojilla "Swirl" y se las recomiendo al 10)%. Se desliza muy fácil es areas difíciles como las rodillas y los tobillos.
2. Cute Maxi dresses:
Maxi dresses are flattering and so easy to wear. You can wear them with a denim jacket or a light jacket for those days that are still a little chilly. If you are traveling to a tropical destination, you can wear a maxi dress over your cute bikini with flats….and then change into cute wedges for a romantic sunset dinner.
A mi me encantan los vestidos largos...son tán cómodos y fáciles de usar. Puedes usarlos con una chaqueta delgada (como de mezcilla) en esos días que todavía refresca un poco. Si vas a viajar a un destino tropical, los vestidos maxi son perfectos sobre tu bikini con zapatos bajitos...y luego puedes cambiarte a cuñas para una cena romántica a la orilla de la playa.
3. Waterproof mascara- Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Full Fan Effect
Since I was a little girl, I always get compliments on my lashes…and I have to admit I love having long full lashes…and always enhancing them with a little mascara. During the warmer months, I like keeping my makeup to the minimum: bb cream with SPF, blush, and waterproof mascara. I really like Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Luscious Full Fan Effect, the waterproof version comes in two shades. It gives me a lot of length and value, making my eyes pop and I don’t have to worry about smudging when laying by the ocean.
Desde muy pequeña, siempre me han dado cumplidos sobre mis pestañas...y tengo que admitir que me encanta realzarlas con mucha pero mucha mascara. En los meses calientes, intento mantener mi maquillaje al mínimo: bb cream con protección solar, un poco de rubor, y mascara a prueba de agua. En este viaje he estado usando Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Luscious Full Fan Effect. La versión "Waterproof" viene en dos tonos. Me gusta mucho porque me da volumen en las pestañas sin tener que preocuparme de que se me vaya a correr cuando me doy un chapuzón en el mar.
4. Sunscreen
Spring means spending more time at the park, enjoying the nice weather, and bbqs with friends…this means you shouldn’t forget to apply sunscreen. If you are spending a lot of time at the beach, applying sunscreen (and reapplying throughout the day) is very important. Always go for at least SPF30 and don’t forget to apply it in forgotten spots like ears, scalp, and tops of your feet.
5. L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Oil shampoo system- for soft, lustrous hair:
My hair is very curly and dry…if you are like me, you know that Spring showers mean dry, frizzy hair. After just one use of the L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil Shampoo System, my hair felt silky and smooth; it is made with luscious, lightweight oils like coconut, argan, chamomile, amla, soja, and sunflower. It also makes it easier to style (which is especially great during this time of the year, leaving more time for outdoor fun!). I have to say that the Extraordinary Oil Lustrous Serum was a savior…I used it a lot on my trip to Mexico because the pool and sand made my hair so dry!
6. A bright color on your fingers and toes:
Go for an unexpected shade this Spring. If you always wear nude colors, go for a bright pink. If you are more of a burgundy nail polish type of girl, try a turquoise shade. To match my cute bikinis in Mexico, I tried some pastel shades.
Esta temporada, arriésgate a usar un color diferente para primavera. Si siempre usas colores nude, usa un rosa vibrante...si te gustan los tonos oscuros, ¿por que no probar un turquesa?
7. Lucky Brand Gladiator sandals- available at DSW
A great transition to a warm weather wardrobe is a good gladiator in tan! These strappy sandals from Lucky Brand are so chic and they complement any Spring/Summer outfit. Did I mention they are leather? <3 the quality is incredible. The pair looks great with jean shorts and an off-the-shoulder top; or a paisley print maxi dress with a wide boho hat.
8. Wide brim Panama hat
Me and my love for hats. For fall and winter, I go for felt black hats…but for warmer months, my favorite style is still a good wide brim Panama Hat; they look so chic while protecting you from the sun.
9. POND’S Rejuveness Anti-Wrinkle Cream- for hydrated skin:
After a long day in the sun (with SPF, of course!), your skin needs some love! At night, after washing my face and before going to sleep, I like using the POND’S Rejuveness Anti-Wrinkle Cream; it’s formulated with alpha hydroxy acids, collagen, and vitamin E, leaving skin looking healthy, nourished and glowing (while reducing the appearance of fine lines). I also got the smaller size which is perfect for traveling.
10. Fun sunglasses:
A spring/summer outfit is not complete without a cool pair of sunnies. My current favorite style is round sunglasses; but don’t be afraid to play with different and styles.

Hello Hello!! As I’ve told you, I was in Palm Springs recently with Target previewing the Swim collection for 2016 and its major trends. We stayed at the Parker Hotel- which was incredibly beautiful and had the time of our lives…wish we could have stayed there for at least a month (one can dream!!).
On our first day, we got settled in (after a long flight from Miami) and we headed to dinner with the Target team, magazine and website editors, and the other influencers. The second day, we went on the most beautiful hike on the Indian Canyon (you can read all about it by clicking here); and then we headed to Leo Dicaprio’s Palm Spring house to preview the collection. Just mentioning Leo’s name you know how amazing that house was. In the pool/garden area, Target had set up 4 different booths, once for each of the major swimwear trends. I honestly couldn’t pick my favorite swimsuit…one of each please!! I was also very glad to see different mannequins with different body types, I love how Target doesn’t cater to only 1 body type of the tall/very thin girl….because we ALL have bikini bodies and we should all enjoy the fun in the sun this summer!
So I wanted to sit down today and tell you everything about these 4 trends, how I wore them, and some tips on how you can try this trend too.

¡Hola Hola! Como les conté estuve en Palm Springs junto a Target viendo la colección de verano/trajesa de baño del 2016. Nos quedamos en un hotel llamado "Parker"- espectacularmente bello...ojalá hubiésemos podido quedarnos ahí al menos un mes (¡¡uno puede soñar!!)
Nuestro primer día, llegamos un poco cansados porque el vuelo desde Miami es largo...pero después de descansar un rato y explorar el hotel, cenamos con el equipo de Target, las editoras de revistas y websites, y otras blogueras. El segundo día fuimos a una caminata en el Indian Canyon (pueden ver el artículo completo de esta experiencia, haciendo click po acá); de ahí nos fuimos directo a la casa de vacaciones de Leonardo Dicaprio...nada más con escribir su nombre me imagino que se imaginarán lo bella de la casa. En el area del jardín/piscina, Target puso 4 meses con las 4 tendencias más importantes para el verano. ¡¡Todos los estilos estaban hermosos!! También me encanta como Target no solo se enfoca en los cuerpos de modelo- porque todas tenemos cuerpos apropiados para bikinis y nunca debemos dejar de hacer actividades (como ir a la playa) por sentir que no tenemos el cuerpo perfecto.
Así que hoy me voy a sentar con ustedes y contarles sobre estas 4 tendencias, como las utilicé yo y unos tips extras de como tu puedes usarlas.
“I live where you vacation”…
I heard that phrase for the first time as soon as I moved to Miami…and it made me appreciate more the beautiful city I live in. People all over the world visit Miami for their gorgeous beautiful beaches, white sand, and friendly people….and to do that, I just have to put my favorite bathing suit and cross the bridge that takes me from Downtown to Miami Beach.
Talking about bathing suits, I have a weakness for reversible and versatile bikinis- like this one I’m wearing from LOFT. I love how I can wear it with the stripes print or with the paisley one. To make it even better, you can fold the high waisted bottom- which gives you a touch of the second print and it’s perfect for tanning. I was so inspired by the pretty prints from LOFT that why not mix them up? The Paisley Tasseled Sarong works also to lay down on the sand…but I absolutely love how it looks in a turban. Last touch? Round sunglasses (which have become my favorite sunglasses style), a striped beach bag, and tasseled caftan for another pretty print.
Who is ready for summer?!! I know I am.

Esta es una frase que escuché por primera vez apenas me mudé a Miami... y me hizo apreciar aún más la hermosa ciudad donde tengo la suerte de vivir en. Gente de todo el mundo visita Miami por sus hermosas playas, con un mar hermoso y arena blanca. Y yo para hacer eso solo tengo que ponerme mi traje de baño y cruzar el puente que lleva de Downtown a Miami Beach.
Hablando de trajes de baño...mis favoritos son aquellos que son reversibles por su versatilidad (es como tener 4 en uno). Este que tengo de LOFT tiene dos estampados- el que ven en las fotos y por dentro es de rayitas. Y como si fuese poco, puedes doblar la parte de abajo de este traje de baño para que te quede a la cadera en vez de a la cintura (y así no te preocupas cuando sea hora de broncearte). Los estampados de la colección de LOFT me inspiraron a jugar con ellos y mezclarlos. Por eso agregué un kimono... y me atrevía usar un sarong de estampado cachemir como turbante (pero luego me lo quite y lo usé en la arena, y como pareo más tarde). ¿último toque? Lentes de sol redondos (que se han convertido en mis favoritos) y una cartera de playa de rayas.
¿Listos para el verano? ¡¡Yo si!!

Every day I would put my fins and mask..and I would snorkel away the reef for at least an hour. There was something so peaceful about...I couldn't hear anything but the sound of water....this is definitely paradise on earth!

Todos los días yo me ponía mis chapaletas y el snorkel y me iba un rato a nadar por los corales...definitivamente estabamos en el paraíso.
The second day in Culebra, we headed to Culebrita (like little snake, yes)...which as you can see, it is SO beautiful. Even though, I tend to "fight' with all my puerto rican friends that Los Roques in Venezuela is 1000 better (hey, google Los Roques, Venezuela...and tell me if you do not want to get a ticket NOW!). But yes, both are gorgeous <3
This day I was in charge of making breakfast, so I did one of the few things I actually know how to cook...venezuelan arepas for 10 people (which were 7 puerto ricans, an American, and a Ecuadorian). I ended up doing like 20 arepas, way more than I have ever done. I also brought tons of flash tattoos for the trip and all the girls and I played arts and crafts and put tons of them on...well, I made the guys get at least one too. So here are tons of more pics from day #2!!

El segundo día fuimos a Culebrita...una playita espectacular de Culebra. Yo siempre "peleo" con los boricuas porque digo que Los Roques en Venezuela es mucho más espectacular que Culebra... ambos son espectaculares pero para mi, Los Roques siempre va a ser tener las playas más bellas del mundo.
Este día fui yo la encargada de hacer desayuno, hice arepas para 10 personas- ¡¡y obviamente más arepas de lo que nunca había hecho!! Y antes de salir, todas las mujeres nos pusimos muchísimos tatuajes metálicos... y yo obligué a los hombres a ponerse algunos (tal vez ven el de Gaby al costado!). Aquí van más fotos de nuestro día en la playa...¡BESOS!!
Okay, it's time to start getting back on track and share the tons of pics I have from our crazy trip. Well, you guys already saw some from Puerto Rico (and some from California...I've been a little all over the place...just to clarify, I'm in Miami right now haha) I already shared some pics from "Viejo San Juan)" and from Cabo Rojo- both in PR. But after a week with Gaby's family in Puerto Rico, we headed to a small island on the east side called Culebra with out closest Miami friends. I cannot even explain how amazing this trip was, we went there in 2013 (check out all post from Culebra 2013 here) and Gaby went again for his Bachelor weekend last year. But this time, there was something different...maybe we have gotten closer over the years...maybe the group was even better than last time. I honestly even had withdrawals, I missed them so much when we left.
The first day was a little crazy, with a lot of traveling, picking friends from the airport, going grocery shopping, heading to the marina, and finally leaving to the island. Culebra is an hour away from Fajardo, a city on the east side of Puerto Rico. We stopped at "Cayo Luis Peña" which is SO SO gorgeous...just look at that water! We jumped, had a lot of fun...the pictures are a mini-summary! Hope you enjoy them!

Okay es hora de empezar a ponerme al día con todas las fotos que tomamos durante nuestro mega viaje. Ya vieron las primera de Puerto Rico, mis favoritas fueron las de San Juan (y otras más también el Viejo San Juan) y las de Cabo Rojo. Ahora seguimos con las de Culebra, Puerto Rico. Si me siguen desde hace mucho tiempo, puede que recuerden el viaje que hicimos con nuestros amigos en el 2013. Esta vez fue aún más increíble, no se si es porque fuimos como amigos nos hemos unidos más aún con el pasar de los años. Pero les juro que cuando se acabo el viaje, me sentía como cuando era chiquita y regresaba a mi casa del campamento (y extrañaba a todos mis amiguitos).
El primer día fue un maratón, de casa de Gabo salimos a la casa de nuestros amigos...de ahí al aeropuerto a buscar a otros que acababan de llegar de Miami y de ahí a otra ciudad, Fajardo, a una hora de San Juan pero primero parando a hacer mercado para nuestros 4 días en Culebra. Y finalmente nos fuimos a la marina y arrancamos a Culebra (la cual es una isla a unos 50 minutos de Fajardo- el lado este de Puerto Rico). Antes de llegar a la casa donde nos quedamos, paramos en un cayo llamado Luis Peña, hermoso HERMOSO, donde pasamos toda la tarde. Les dejo abajo unas fotos que resumen un poco nuestro primer día. ¡Espero que les gusten!
Hey!! This weekend was a blast because we went to Key Largo- if you are not from South Florida, it is a beach city an hour away from Miami. We went with a group of best friends (I rarely show pictures of them because I like respecting their privacy...but maybe you have seen their craziness on my snapchat @danidaniramirez). We all stayed on the same apartment and it was a mini summer camp. I was in charge of cooking breakfast the first morning and I did venezuelan arepas...of course! I have never cook that many arepas in my life...it was a little nerve-wracking because I didn't want to mess them up. In my opinion, they were delicious..hopefully, my crazy Puerto Rican friends thought the same thing. We spent the whole day by the beach even though it wasn't very sunny. We all shared ONE paddle board- there were more boards around but we didn't wanna use them. I started doing Yoga on the board...which I swear it is harder than it looks. Then at night we just played board games and drinking games (yea we are all over 25 but we will always be 18 in our hearts). Chiki went with us and that always makes it extra special...he is a very social and loving little pup so everyone kept holding him! Hope you like the pics! XOXO

¡Hola!! Este fin de semana fuimos a Cayo Largo- que queda como a una hora de Miami con nuestro grupo de mejores amigos ( a quienes no subo al blog porque me gusta respetar la privacidad de los demás). Nos quedamos en el apartamento de unos amigos y de verdad que la pasamos increíble. Yo fui la encargada de cocinar este día y cocine arepas para 7 personas...nunca había hecho tantas arenas, creo que quedaron ricas. Estuvimos en la orilla de la playa..el día no estaba muy soleado que se diga pero igual disfrutamos mucho. Todos estábamos compartiendo una tabla de paddleboard porque solo había una jajaja. Yo me puse a hacer Yoga en la tabla...que les juro que es mucho más difícil de lo que parece. Y luego en la noche estuvimos jugando juegos de mesa (alcohol incluido, no les voy a mentir!). Chiki fue con nosotros, lo que lo hice aún más divertido..el es muy cariñoso con todo el mundo y estuvo de brazo en brazo todo el fin de semana. ¡Les mando un mega abrazo!!
This past weekend was a three-day weekend… which meant spending a little bit more time by the sun and almost-turning into mermaids. I live 10 minutes away from South Beach but I prefered to avoid the craziness and instead I stayed in my apt pool during the day. I only had to worry about two things: my swimsuit and my sunglasses. So here are two looks I wore this weekend. I didn't plan this but gingham and fringe are two of my favorite trends this season ( I've been talking about them everywhere)…so here they are, now as swimwear! I paired the fringe monokini with some mirrored aviators ( these are a must-have for summer). And I paired the gingham bikini with a cool pair of round sunglasses with a metallic touch. Este fin de semana fue feriado…lo que significo disfrutar de la playa/piscina y casi convertirme en sirena. Yo vivo a 10 minutos de South Beach…pero preferí quedarme en la piscina del apartamento y evitar la locura de la playa. Para esto solo necesité mi traje de baño y unos lentes de sol. Aquí les muestro dos looks, uno del sábado y otro del domingo. De casualidad (les juro que no lo planee), estos dos trajes de baño de GUESS tienen 2 de mis tendencias favoritas esta temporada: flecos y el estampado guingán. El de flecos lo combiné con unos leyes estilo aviador espejo…perfectos para el verano. Y el de guingán lo combiné con unos redondos que tienen un toque de meta para darle una onda más moderna. ¿Cómo pasaron su fin de semana!? Les mando un abrazo grandísimo!

means BEACH TIME! It’s great when you can find a
complete head-to-toe look in one place, and I was excited to partner with Lord & Taylor to get everything I need for the start of summer!
At the beach, you can never go wrong with a denim shorts +
kimono + swimsuit combo. I loved the color of this bikini from Marc by Marc Jacobs. I think bandeaus are extremely comfortable and flattering for my bust
size. You can easily wear this look to eat by the sea and then take your shorts
off to walk around the beach with just the kimono.
This BCBGeneration kimono has a cool distressed mosaic print so you could even dress it up with a cute white dress
and heels. Lately, I’ve been wearing white denim shorts even more often than
the regular blue jeans…they go with everything and they scream, “I’M READY FOR SUMMER”!.
If you are thinking about a new pair of sandals this summer,
go for white soled sandals! I found this Vince Camuto pair at Lord & Taylor and I loved the metallic strap…it takes summer
sandals to another level! Also, a summer look is not complete without a hat but you all know how
much I love hats! I’m obsessed with this Kate Spade straw hat that has ladybugs embroidered on it…how adorable!

Este fin de semana, los días en Miami estuvieron espectaculares… ¿saben lo que eso significa? PLAYITA!! Y mejor cuando tenía un look veraniego completo (de pies a cabeza) de Lord & Taylor por estrenar.
Cuando voy a la playa, yo siempre opto por esta combinación porque me parece muy cómoda: shorts + kimono + bikini. Mi traje de baño es de Marc by Marc Jacobs. me encantó el color y el estilo bandeau es muy favorecedor para chicas con un busto como el mio.Este look lo puedes utilizar para ir a comer cerca de la playa; y luego te puedes quitar los shorts para caminar en la playa. Este kimono de BCBGeneration es una belleza, me encantó el estampado…aparte lo puedes usar con un vestidito blanco y tacones para una noche romántica (me imagino una cena con el atardecer de fondo de vacaciones). Ultimamente he estado utilizando denim shorts blancos (en vez de los clásicos azules) porque van con todo y son más veraniegos.
Si estas pensando invertir en un par de sandalias para este verano; busca unas que tengan la suela blanca (están muy de moda!). Yo encontré este par de Vince Camuto pair en Lord & Taylor pero me gustó como tienen una tirita metálica. Finalmente, un look de verano no está completo sin un sombrero…bueno yo y mis sombreros. Este de Kate Spade se va a convertir en mi favorito; tiene mariquitas rojas…díganme si no se ven tiernísimas.

Este fin de semana, los días en Miami estuvieron espectaculares… ¿saben lo que eso significa? PLAYITA!! Y mejor cuando tenía un look veraniego completo (de pies a cabeza) de Lord & Taylor por estrenar.
Cuando voy a la playa, yo siempre opto por esta combinación porque me parece muy cómoda: shorts + kimono + bikini. Mi traje de baño es de Marc by Marc Jacobs. me encantó el color y el estilo bandeau es muy favorecedor para chicas con un busto como el mio.Este look lo puedes utilizar para ir a comer cerca de la playa; y luego te puedes quitar los shorts para caminar en la playa. Este kimono de BCBGeneration es una belleza, me encantó el estampado…aparte lo puedes usar con un vestidito blanco y tacones para una noche romántica (me imagino una cena con el atardecer de fondo de vacaciones). Ultimamente he estado utilizando denim shorts blancos (en vez de los clásicos azules) porque van con todo y son más veraniegos.
