Knots and braids....with TRESemmé

Hey everyone! As promised, here’s another step-by-step hairstyle tutorial.

As you may have notice, I recently chopped more than 10 inches of hair. Yes, it’s still long but it has been a challenge to style it differently. With this new haircut, I wanted to continue to keep it healthy, prevent split ends and the damages that may be caused from heat styling- so I have been using used TRESemmé’s Split Remedy Split End Leave-In Conditioning Treatment, to restore its moisture!

 For this tutorial, I originally wanted to do a knotted ponytail. However, I have shorter layers in the front that it wouldn’t let that happen so I thought….let me do a braid first! It worked, I really like the final result and I promise, it’s very easy to do.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• -      A blowdryer
• -      A tailcomb
• -      TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Illuminating Shine Spray
• -      TRESemmé Split Remedy Leave-In Split End Conditioning Treatment
• -      Hair Elastics- preferably transparent.
• -      Bobby pins

¡Hola a todas! Como les prometí, aquí va otro tutorial paso-a-paso.

Como se habrán dado cuenta, en los últimos meses me corté muchísimo el cabello. Si, todavía esta relativamente largo pero ha sido un reto para mi peinarlo. También quiero mantenerlo saludable y prevenir horquetillas que pueden ser causadas por el uso de plancha/secador- por eso he estado utilizando el acondicionador y crema de TRESemmé llamada Split Remedy Leave-In Split End  Conditioning Treatment.

Para este tutorial, originalmente quería hacer una cola de caballo con unos nudos. Ya que tengo capas más cortes en el frente, esto no fue posible...así que se me ocurrió agregar una trenza primero. Me gustó mucho el resultado final, les prometo que es facilísima de hacer.

 LO QUE VAS A NECESITAR:

• -      Un secador.
• -      Un peine.
• -      TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Illuminating Shine Spray
• -      TRESemmé’s Split Remedy Leave-In Split End Conditioning Treatment
• -      Colitas pequeñitas- preferiblemente si son transparentes.
• -      Bobby pins u horquillas.

TUTORIAL:

1.    Wash your hair. Since we are doing a ponytail, we want to make sure there are not split-ends. I used TRESemmé’s Split Remedy Leave-In Split End Conditioning Treatment. Apply it while your hair is still wet. This product hydrates your hair, protects it from the damaging effects of styling, and it also restores and repairs up to 80% of split-ends. You can also apply this product when your hair is dry in order to avoid frizz.

2.    Blow-dry your hair if your hair is very curly like mine. If it’s wavy or straight, you can let it dry naturally.

3.    Part the hair to your side of preference.

4.    Start doing a dutch braid on the biggest section of your hair.

5.    Keep braiding until your reach the nape of your neck.

6.     Grab all of your hair and split it into two big sections.

7.     Do a simple knot with those two big sections. Then, do a second knot.

8.    Grab your elastic and secure the knots you just did. You can wrap the elastic with hair to hide it.

9.    Then I applied TRESemmé’s Keratin Smooth Illuminating Shine Spray. This product, infused with keratin, leaves your hair full of shine.

10. Finally I opened the braids with my fingers to make them look bigger and fuller.

TUTORIAL:

1. Lava tu cabello. Ya que vamos a estar haciendo una cola, les recomiendo asegurarse de prevenir horquetillas. Yo estoy utilizando TRESemmé’s Split Remedy Leave-In Split End Conditioning Treatment. Este producto hidrata tu cabello, lo protege del calor, y también repara hasta un 80% de las horquetillas. También puedes aplicarlo en tu cabello seco para evitar el frizz.
2. Seca tu cabello; si tu cabello es muy rizado como el mío, usa un secador. Si tienes unas ondas muy suaves o es liso, es mejor que dejes que se seque naturalmente.
3. Divide tu cabello por tu lado de preferencia.
4. Haz una trenza holandesa en el lado con más cabello.
5. Continua trenzando hasta que llegues a la nuca.
6. Agarra tu cabello y divídelo en dos secciones grandes.
7. Haz un nudo simple con estas dos secciones; luego repite el nudo.
8. Agarra tu cola o elástica y asegura los nudos que acabas de hacer. Puedes agarrar un menchoncito de cabello y esconder la colita.
9. Luego utilicé  TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Illuminating Shine Spray para darle un poco de brillo al peinado.
10. Finalmente abrí las trenzas con mis dedos para que se vean con más volúmen.
