Today's look has two parts; a day look and a night look. I feel like when you are wearing the right accessories (like this gorgeous necklace from OIA JULES), you can switch your flats to heels and you are ready to go. I went for an all white look with the tee and jeans, but I added a pops of purple and metallic. I wore this to go to the office and then meet with a Miami store for a big project that is coming up (I think I will share the news after April... it's getting closer). Later that day, I just switched to heels and I was ready to go out. It has been a hard week, I've been thinking a lot of what's going on in Venezuela and I'm praying that things will get better soon. El look de hoy tiene dos partes; el look de día y el de la noche. Cuando tienes los accesorios indicados (como este collar metálico de OIA JULES), con solo cambiar los zapatos a tacones: ya estás lista para una cena o algo un poquito más formal. Quise que el look fuese todo blanco pero con toques morados y metálicos para que no fuese tan aburrido. Esto lo utilicé para una reunión importantísima con una tienda de Miami, ya dentro de poco podré contarles más. Y luego como les dije, me cambié los zapatos para ir a comer. Espero que tengan un feliz jueves... yo sigo aquí de lejtos pensando mucho en Venezuela y rezando para que todo se solucione de la mejor manera posible. ¡Un abrazo grandísimo!!

The closet of the modern woman has to be extremely versatile;  you should have pieces that help you remix your wardrobe... pieces that you can mix and match and every look will feel and look different.  For example, this look has two key pieces: (1) a  textured sweater and (2) a modern pencil skirt. You can wear the sweater with some boyfriend jeans and cute flats for a laid back look; or with dressy pants to go to the office. Same with the skirt, you can definitely go out by pairing it with a crop top or you can wear it with a classic blouse and head out to work. This time I wore the two pieces together but I added a hat to make the look a little younger. Hope you are having a great hump day! XOXO

Siento que el closet de la mujer moderna tiene que ser extremadamente versátil; debe estar compuesto de piezas que puedas re-usar un millón de veces... y que depende con que lo combines, tu look se vea completamente distinto. Por ejemplo, en este look llevo dos piezas claves: (1) un suéter con textura y (2) una falda recta con un toque moderno. El suéter lo puedes usar con jeans y flats para un día cómodo o con unos pantalones formales y un blazer para ir a la oficina. Igual la falda, puedes combinarla con un top cortito para salir en la noche o con una blusa clásica para la oficina. En esta ocasión quise mezclar lo casual del suéter con lo arregladito de la falda, y el sombrero le da un toque más juvenil. ¡¡Les mando un abrazo grandísimo!!

I feel like there's a misconception about fashion bloggers...we are really not that glamorous, at least I know I am not. I absolutely love been in my PJs working from home. If it was for me, I would wear this every single day and I would watch Hulu all day with Chiki and Gabo.

 I'm going to make this post short, I'm heading out to a city 4 hours away from Miami for the wedding of Steffy (from Steffy's pros and cons). I wore this last week for after a Univision segment (hence, the amount of makeup). I'll share the photos of the models and the tips I gave soon. I wanted to be comfy but still dressy (by mixing sporty elements like the jacket and distressed jeans with classy heels and a statement necklace). I hope you enjoy your weekend..big hugs!!

Les escribo rapidito porque voy saliendo a una ciudad como a 4 horas de Miami para la boda de Steffy (de Steffy Pros and Cons). Esto lo utilicé la semana pasada después de un segmento en Univisión (por eso el maquillaje un poco distinto). Luego compartiré fotos y les diré los consejos que di allí.  Quería estar cómoda pero igual como más arregladita, por eso combiné elementos más deportivos (como la chaqueta llamativa y los jeans rotos) con unos más elegantes (el collar y los zapatos nude). Espero que estén disfrutan su fin de semana ...y les mando a todos un abrazo inmenso (especialmente a mis queridos venezolanos, sigan luchando con todo! BESOS)

I didn't update the blog yesterday...and it's hard to do it today. As many of you might know, Venezuela (where I'm from), is going through a hard time. I would love to be protesting with my people right now...but I can't...at least not from Miami. Some people have told me I shouldn't be posting just to be "respectful". Howver, at the same time my blog is my job...and I can't pause it (especially because it might take a while before the protests make a difference in Venezuela). I just hope my fellow venezuelan understand and know that my heart and soul is with them. I admire them so much for everything they are doing to make Venezuela a better country. Please, if you do not know what's going on, read about it on any news site...it's heartbreaking.


 On another note, I wanted to tell you a little bit about my outfit.  Everything I'm wearing is from a local boutique in Miami called Chez Jeanton. It feels like a private boutique, you make your appointment and the owners are there to give you styling tips... PLUS you can take as much time as you want trying things on. As soon as I walked in, I fell in love with this red jacket...I've been wearing it a lot. This time, I paired it with some classic white jeans and a fun striped blouse.

Finally, I want to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's day. I want to send you the biggest hug ever...because everyone should just hug more often! :) Don't forget this is just a date, and express your love to your family and friend ALL year. XOXO

Ayer no actualicé el blog...y hoy se me hace difícil hacerlo. Como saben, Venezuela está pasado por uno de sus momentos más difíciles....y yo desde aquí sin poder salir a protestar o poner mi granito de arena. He recibido muchos reclamos, de gente diciéndome que no debería estar publicando nada... "por respeto",  "por luto", etc. Pero ¿qué hago? No puedo quedarme de brazos cruzados...no puedo dejar de trabajar (si, este es mi trabajo...tanto Gaby como yo, vivimos del blog y de actividades de moda... gracias a Dios- y lo hago queriendo dejar el nombre de Venezuela en alto). Lamentablemente no puedo decirle a las marcas internacionales que no puedo publicar ciertas campañas porque mi país (en donde no vivo actualmente) esta en crisis. Entiendo a mis queridísimas amigas bloggeras venezolanas, que no es el momento...pero entiendan que no estoy allá. Pero que esto no significa que no apoyo el movimiento de lucha en Venezuela...que admiro la valentía de los estudiantes, me gustaría ser uno de ellos. ¡Mi mente y mi corazón están con ustedes! ((Si no son de Venezuela, las invito a leer de la situación, necesitamos todo el apoyo posible)

En otro tema, les quiero contar de la boutique de donde es toda la ropa que estoy utilizando en este outfit, Chez Jeanton. Me encantó que es como una boutique privada (tienen tiendas tanto en Miami como en Caracas), haces tu cita, y las dueñas están ahí para atenderte, darte consejos, y tienes todo el tiempo que quieras para probarte toda la ropa (que es traída de Italia y Francia). Esta chaqueta la he estado usando sin parar, el color es hermoso y le da un pop de color a cualquier look. En esta ocasión la combiné con unos jeans clásicos blancos y una camisa de rayitas para darle otra dimensión al look.


Finalmente, quiero desearles un feliz día de la amistad y del amor- les mando un abrazo grandísimo y les agradezco todo el apoyo y cariño. ¡l@s quiero muchísimo! No olvides decirle a sus seres queridos que los quieren todos los días...¡¡den abrazos largos más seguidos!!
