FabFitFun’s Summer 2021 box Is Just What I Needed This Season

Wednesday, May 26, 2021

[Sponsored by FabFitFun. All opinions are my own]

Last season, I loved sharing my honest review about FabFitFun’s Spring Box. I loved all the products and I couldn’t wait to receive the Summer 2021 box!

Just to remind you: FabFitFun is a seasonal (quarterly, not monthly) subscription box that includes  full sized products, beauty, fashion, fitness, and lifestyle products!! Plus you can customize the box! You can either pay per box or pre-pay for the 4 boxes and get extra perks like customizing your ENTIRE BOX! It is available in the U.S, Canada, and the U.K

Let me tell you about my favorite’s this season (these are available to all members to pick from). Most of them came at the perfect time as I was looking for them- just what I needed!

Oh wait,  I’m loving how different the boxes are each season! But what I appreciate the most is the commitment to sustainable practices, all the Kraft boxes are 100% recycled!

- SummerSalt Neoprene Beach tote in Pink/Red or Blue/Green: I’m a big fan of Summersalt so I had to pick this soft water-resistant neoprene bag in Pink/Red. It’s the perfect beach bag but it’s also perfecto for any quick summer outing (I just throw all my things inside and I’m out the door).

- Milly Jewelry Case: this is such a cute jewel case, and very compact for traveling.  Right now, I added my current favorites so I have them in hand whenever I need to.

- Nectar Sunglasses Blue Light Blocking Glasses: don’t ask me why but I would always forget to get a pair of Blue Light blocking glasses and I’m excited to see the difference- as I truly spend a lot of time in front of the computer. The style is also super cute.

- Scentuals Vitamin C Serum: I’ve been wanting to add a Vitamin C Serum to my routine for a while and I’ve actually heard great things about Scentuals. You can use it morning and/or night to hydrate and plump your skin!

Like I said, Annual members choose all items but if you want to try just one box: FFF will surprise you with an item - like this Mented Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in The Berry (such a gorgeous color!!)! or these Kate spade new york Workout Socks with grip on the bottom that I am excited to try when I go back to barre after the baby is born!

You MUST try it! These were just some of my picks, but as you can see, some products are worth more than the entire box (absolutely worth it)- and it is great if you love discovering new products and brands!

If you want to try it out, I have a little surprise! Get $10 off your FabFitFun box by using the promo code NANY!

Updating your Summer Wardrobe under $50

Thursday, July 16, 2020

“Sponsored by Nordstrom and ShopStyle”

You know me, and you know that I love a good deal…and if it’s a fashion-forward, high quality piece at a great price…EVEN BETTER!

So I want to share with you some of my favorite pieces from Nordstrom’s clearance section, so you can update your summer wardrobe and your wallet will be extra happy about it- especially during these times we are living in!

An oversized blazer:
These are great for online meetings, but they are also so fun with biker shorts and jeans! I’ve been stealing my husband’s blazers for a while, but it was time to get one and this double breasted blazer had to be mine (here is a similar option I’m loving!).

Check out all these gorgeous options under $50:

A fun bodysuit:
I absolutely love the fit of a bodysuit, they are flattering and elegant! I’m loving this cowl neck one from ASTR The Label or this floral one by Leith. But check out these other options, also all under $50!

Dresses in the cutest prints:
I was going to say that floral never fails but I ordered this polka dot one and I can’t wait to get it (already sold out but check out the cute options below!).  I’m also loving the sleeves on this one.

The extra 25% clearance at Nordstrom ends on July 19th, 9pm PT (some exclusions apply). You can shop online but my favorite part was shopping online and picking up some of the pieces at the curbside pick up! That way I got my items super fast and in the safest way possible. You can also join The Nordy Club for benefits like earning points and exclusive access to workshops and be one of the first to shop select brands! Visit The Nordy Club to learn more and sign up today!

What piece are you excited to get this summer?

Sun Protection for the never-ending Miami Summer

Wednesday, August 21, 2019

I grew up dipping my feet in the Caribbean Sea in Venezuela. If you ask me about my favorite memories as a kid, most of them were under the sun…either by pools or the ocean.

I’ve been in Miami for almost 13 years; and I have to admit I wasn’t spending as much time enjoying this gorgeous city and its hot weather as much as I should have been. BUT this Summer was different, it was all about about having full with out baby and our dog under the sun.

The good news: Miami’s summer is not coming to an end any time soon!

With all the time spent outside, let’s talk SUNSCREEN!
Australian Gold has been a go-to in our family since I was a little girl. I remember my mom using it and its amazing smell transports me to my childhood.

Just like I grew up, I love that the brand has evolved with the times: the Botanical Mineral Sunscreen collection. It is made with real, nutrient-rich native Australian ingredients.  It’s formulation doesn’t include unnecessary chemicals nor animal testing. And I'm OBSESSED!

My go-to for beach, pool, park, any time outdoor is the
Botanical SPF 30 Mineral Sunscreen Lotion: it has a nice subtle smell, and it’s not sticky or greasy.

BODY IMAGE during PREGNANCY

Tuesday, April 10, 2018

I've had this post in my drafts for a while. There is so much I want to say but at the same time I don't know how to put the words together in a way that not only makes sense for moms/moms to be, but also for my non-mommies.

There is so much pressure for pregnant women to stay fit and tiny during pregnancy, to not have stretch marks... and don't even get me started on the pressure to bounce "back" and look better than ever AFTER the baby. But I'll probably talk more about this when I have my boy.

When you are pregnant you will hear a lot of:
"OMG you are HUGEEE, you are probably about to pop"
"OMG such a tiny belly, are you sure you are eating right?"
"OMG it has to be a boy because of XXX "
"My belly/my friend's belly was so much bigger/smaller"

As someone who has struggled with weight and diets since I was a little girl, I'm not going to lie: all of these comments offended me somehow. You can blame  the hormones all you want, but it's also RESPECT.
1. Nobody wants to be told they look huge- even with triplets.
2. I really dislike being compared to anyone or analyzed. It's my body- all bodies are different- all pregnancies are different.

When I miscarried last year, I blamed myself a lot. I felt some sort of anger towards my body "for not being capable". I was able to forgive myself, to not think that it was my fault in any way.  But at the same time, this fear has stayed with me throughout my pregnancy.  Nutritionists might say I could have been more active or eat a bit better, but I'm just listening to my body and feeling blessed to have this little miracle inside me that I will never take for granted.

What I want to get to is that all we want to hear is that we are looking beautiful or that we are glowing (even we have been puking the whole 9 months and look terrible).

And you, fellow mom-to-be: don't be so harsh on yourself.
It's okay if your belly is bigger than others.
It's okay if you are 7 months pregnant and still have your abs.
It's okay if you gained a little more weight that you should have.
It's okay if you got stretch marks.
It's okay if you had that extra cookie.
It's okay...

You are creating life and there isn't anything more beautiful than that.

BLOGGING BIZ: AUTHENTICITY VS ORIGINALITY

Monday, March 5, 2018

I'm reading this book called BIG MAGIC- well, I have been reading it slowly since forever. Don't judge me. It's just that every little story gives me so much to think about that I like to take my time. I

recently read about "ORIGINALITY VS AUTHENTICITY" and I wanted to share it with you gals.

When I was asked about the "key to success" when becoming a blogger, I would always talk about originality- finding what would make you unique or that gap of "what has never been seen before".

And I was wrong, it isn't originality what makes you unique is AUTHENTICITY. Whatever you chose to do in life probably has been done before (and by far more experienced, talented, and overall "better" people), but nobody has ever done it like YOU.

So if you ever doubt yourself because there is someone already out there doing it, remember that if it comes from your heart, without trying to imitate anybody or fake originality, it will work. I promise! or at least you will enjoy every second of it!

Visiting the Museum of Ice Cream...again. With Kendra Scott

Saturday, February 17, 2018

For a moment on my IG feed, it looked like we moved to the Museum of Ice Cream- but now, we were visiting again - but this time for the Kendra Scott Spring Collection Launch Celebration . It was such a great idea, they invited a big group of bloggers before the Museum opened for the day. As soon as we arrived, we got to choose our favorite piece from the collection and wear it throughout the museum (brilliant idea, since this is THE PLACE for pictures). I picked some statement ombré earrings in shades of pink/purple that went perfectly with my outfit.

__________________________________________

Sunset walks and Fur-friends in Punta Blanca

Sunday, January 28, 2018

I absolutely love walking in the sand by the sunset, it is the most magical moment of the day. We started walking and walking until I found this cute dog that desperately needed a friend. I don't know if his owner was around but he was so friendly. He walked with us for a while, right by my side.

Yes, I know I'm the crazy girl petting dogs everything. But how can you not too? Dogs are so precious!

Beach Day in Punta Blanca

Friday, January 26, 2018

You, me (a plus one), and the sea!

I already did a REMIX on this dress from WhoWhatWear x Target. I've been meaning to wear it over a swimsuit for SO LONG. I even took it with me to Miramar Beach but I forgot to style it. I loved how it looked with this half and half one-piece swimsuit and the head scarf for mixing prints.

Like I've mentioned, the scarf is from my friend Valentina at Silk by MVTrends. I wore it different ways during this trip and I've been thinking of doing a mini tutorial on ways to style it. Let me know what you girls think.

Santorini Vibes in Ecuador

Wednesday, January 24, 2018

Our stay in Punta Blanca (in Ecuador) was very family oriented. We were staying right by the ocean and it was all about spending time as a family.

This day, Gabe and I decided to walk around to see what we could find. So we wouldn't take the same pics over and over.  We first found this lovely blue door and we had seen some Santorini-looking architecture from the distance.

Apparently what we were seeing was a beach-club, we asked the security guard if we could take some pics around it and totally let us in. I hate asking these questions but Gabe is not as shy. So we ended up enjoying SUCH an amazing view from the tower.

Long-Lost-Files from BOSTON this SUMMER

Saturday, November 25, 2017

The past few months, I have not been the blogger- and that's okay. At the end, that's the beauty of it.  This is our choice, we decide how often to blog, how much to share, and as long as we love it.

These pictures are from last Summer, we went to Boston for a wedding and we had so much fun exploring it.

So here's a little update from things I've shared on Instagram.

Changes are coming to the blog! www.nanyramirez.com already works and takes you to this page and now I am @Nany on Instagram. The opportunity to change my last name came and I had to take it!

I don't want you guys to think Nany's Klozet will "diet", it is EXPANDING. Nany's Klozet will still be the fashion section. I'm open to ideas, topics, anything you would like to see. I want NANY to be "closer", I want to share the "not-so-perfect" moments, blogging tips, more lifestyle, more travel. What do you guys think?

Pool Party from Above ... Drone love

Tuesday, July 11, 2017

Last Sunday, my sweet friend Kelly Saks invited me over to her house for a small pool party.

It was my first time going to her house and I have to say it is BEAUTIFUL. She is also such a good hostess. There were towels by the pool, right beside a sunscreen station. Her husband was in charge of making hamburgers- that were OMG-so-delicious. And for drinks, Kelly did a frosé (a frozen rosé). I'm pretty sure she has the recipe in her blog, go check it out!

Gabe, my husband, is obsessed with his little drone. You can also check out his review on it (in case you are interested in purchasing one). He also does amazing lightroom tutorials for all of you interested in improving your photography game!

Ok back to the drone, he took it and we got some dope shots at the pool. Well, drone shots are amazing and if you add a little swan, they get even better!

Let me know what you think! XOXO

¡BESOS
