If I'm totally honest, getting dressed for the winter was extremely hard- it's not easy trying to look cute while not freezing (kudos to all the girls in NYFW with bare legs and no coats). When I was packing, this was the first outfit that came to life and I was very excited to wear it during my first fashion week ever. Sorry about my hair, the rain/show kept messing with it! I think I'm going to do different posts of the actual runways- it gets a little confusing and overwhelming doing everything in just one post (let me know if you like it that way). I wore this look to a couple of shows and later during the afternoon for a "Danielle Nicole blogger Brigade". I love her bags, they look so luxurious but they are very affordable. We had a mini-photoshoot with the bags in front of the Lincoln Center and then we gave some away to the fashionable ladies walking to the shows. Of course, I had to gave one of the bags to the amazing Flor de MarÃa. I hope you like the pics... XOXO!

Si les soy sincera, vestirme para el frÃo se me hace difÃcil- estoy demasiado acostumbrada a los climas tropicales (y quedaba boquiabierta de admiración al ver como hay tantas arriesgadas que iban a los shows con las piernas al aire y sin abrigo). Cuando estaba haciendo la maleta, este fue el primer outfit que salÃo y estaba emocionada de usarlo en mi primera Semana de la Moda. Lamentablemente a la lluvia/nieve, no le importaba lo que hiciera con mi cabello...disculpen el frizz! Voy a dividir los artÃculos de lo que me puse y los de los shows- asà no se hacen confusos ni tan largos (dÃganme si lo prefieren asÃ). Este look, aparte de usarlo para un par de shows, también lo utilicé para una "Brigada de Bloggers junto a las carteras de Danielle Nicole". De verdad que me encantan sus diseños, se ven extremadamente lujosas pero ninguna cartera pasa los $100. Básicamente estuvimos en frente del Lincoln Center con las carteras de su nueva colección; y si veÃamos a alguien espectacular vestida, podÃamos regarle una de las carteras. Por supuesto, apenas và a Flor supe que tenÃa que dársela a ella. Espero que les gusten las fotos...un abrazo grandÃsimo!!

Last Friday I went to TOTEM, one of the amazing shows part of "Cirque du Soleil" with a couple of Miami Fashion bloggers and...of course boyfriends/photographers. Sadly, I don't have pics from the actual show since they don't let us take pics....BUT they took us backstage, which was an amazing experience. I don't even know what to write, you have to go and see the show... it is incredible. My inner gymnast get jealous/excited of all the tricks they can do... after the show, all I want to do is jump in a trampoline.
We learned so many things about the shows; like wherever they go, the backstage is set the exact same way in order to create some type of stability (specially if you consider that the cast comes from 30 different countries and they speak 11 different languages). Imagine traveling with the same group of people for years and year...I'd love to hear the love/friendship/drama stories they have. We also got a glimpse of where they train, how they keep the stage props, the makeup, the wardrobe.... so amazing! There is so much work and effort behind these productions! About my look: I went for a very casual/comfy look with this amazing ombré leggings and an oversized gray sweater ( it was a chilly night too). To make the outfit a little dressier, I added the studded booties... and for a fun vibe, the hat. Hope you enjoy the pics.. there are a lot of them!! XOXO

El viernes pasado fui al "Cirque du Soleil- TOTEM" junto a un grupo de blogueras de Miami ( y claro, novios/fotógrafos incluÃdos!). Lamentablemente no tengo fotos del show como tal porque no dejan tomar fotos durante...pero nos llevaron "detrás de bastidores"!!. No hay palabras para describir lo excelente del show- como gimnasta, siempre salgo con boquiabierta... y con ganas de dar vueltas en un trampolÃn.
A donde sea que vayan, arreglan los bastidores de la misma manera.... asà crean un tipo de estabilidad (sobre todo considerando que el elenco proviene de más de 30 paÃses.. y hablan más de 11 idiomas). También nos mostraron donde guardan todos los accesorios del show, el maquillaje, el vestuario, etc. Y para rematar, pudimos ver hasta los bosquejos del vestuario. Este show lleva apenas 2-3 años en su gira mundial, y dicen que faltan al menos otros 12! Uno ni se imagina la cantidad de trabajo detrás de una producción tan grande como esta; y es realmente admirable. Si quieren ver más de este circo y si va a estar proximamente en algúna ciudad cercana, pasa por AQUI.
Rapidamente sobre mi look: querÃa estar cómoda y casual durante el show, asà que escogà estos jeggings ombré y suéter ancho (estaba haciendo bastante frÃito, sobre todo por la noche). Para verme un poco más arregladita, agregué los botines con tachas... y el sombrero para un toque divertido! Espero que disfruten las fotos... que hay bastanticas!

Miami's weather is so unpredictable this season; it's still hot if you are in the sun but as soon as the wind hits you, it gets a little chilly. Reason why you have to be carrying a jacket/cardigan around all the time. I wore this on Friday after class; first with sneakers and without the jacket to run some errands in Miami Beach... and then with these studded booties and the leather jacket to have sushi with Gabo. El clima en Miami está un poco impredecible; si estás en el sol hace calor...pero apenas sientes un viento, da algo de frÃo. Razón por la cual hay que estar cargando con una chaqueta/suéter a todos lados. Esto fue lo que utilicé el viernes pasado después de clases. Primero lo utilicé sin la chaqueta y con sneakers para pasear por Miami Beach ,y luego con tacones y la chaqueta para ir a cenar sushi con Gabo. Espero que hayan tenido un bonito dÃa y mil gracias por pasar por mi blog! Un abrazo grandÃsimo!!
