Fashion was this blog’s first love and I will always enjoy having fun with my style and different trends. But I got to be honest, shopping has gotten a bit harder with my little one.

Stitch Fix is a personalized styling service where you fill an extensive style profile when signing up; and an expert stylist will hand-select 5 items JUST for you- based on your body type, preferred fit, budget, lifestyle, etc.
When your items arrive; you get to try everything on at the comfort of your house, keep what you love, and send back the rest in a free pre-paid envelope.
There is a $20 fee to have your curated Fix- but it applies towards anything you keep. The best part is that it isn’t a subscription service; you can receive your Fix whenever you want (every month, or if a special vacation is coming up!).
My experience:
A few years ago, I had the amazing opportunity to travel to San Francisco and visit Stitch Fix HQ. The experience was absolutely amazing, seeing how everything works.
Fast forward a few years, and this styling service feels like a lifesaver when I need new pieces to refresh up my wardrobe. I know I know, I’m a fashion blogger and I love shopping for new trends- but just like a Chef goes to other restaurants- it’s nice to not have to worry and trust another expert opinion…and WOW, she nailed my fix.
I received 5 pieces: a Rebecca Minkoff floral dress (the one I’m wearing), these Sam Edelman pink sandals, white shorts, an off-the-shoulder floral top, and a red striped tee. It also came with styling little sheet showing 2 ways to wear each item. Everything fit just like I like, highlighting what I love! It’s super cool that they have petite, plus size, and maternity sizes in thousands of brands.
I have a feeling I’ll be wearing this dress A LOT. It shows off my curves and it’s such a fun print!
Would you try Stitch Fix?
When I was little, I had to use corrective orthopedic shoes for the first five years of my life. I remember going to the mall with my mom and staring at shoe stores just daydreaming about the day I could wear all those styles…that’s when my healthy shoe obsession began! Nowadays I still can’t wait to try out a new style!
Today I’m super excited to partner with DSW to show you five must-have trends for Spring 2017! There’s definitely one for every style personality; and they are so versatile that you are going to carry them throughout this spring, for any occasion!
Y la primavera llegó... ¡lo que significa que llegan nuevas tendencias!! Ustedes saben que a mi me encanta mezclar y hacer mis remix con las piezas que ya tengo; pero también creo en invertir en ciertas piezas cada temporada para mantener tu "Klozet al dÃa y a la moda.
Cuando era chiquita, usé zapatos ortopédicos hasta los 5 años. Recuerdo que pasear por los centros comerciales con mi mamá y quedarme embelesada viendo los zapatos en las tiendas y soñando con algún dÃa usar diferentes estilos.
Hoy estoy muy feliz de colaborar con DSW para mostrarte mis 5 tendencias favoritas para esta temporada. ¡Definitivamente hay una para cada personalidad y son todas muy versátiles!
1. Espadrilles:
Espadrilles are the go-to style for Spring and Summer- especially if you are heading to any tropical vacation. This pair from Indigo RD is only $39.95 and it goes with absolutely all your favorite Summer outfits. I love the chic ankle tie too. This time I paired these light canvas shoes with my “exploring-a-new-city” outfit: some cool high waisted black jeans, a simple striped tee, a red bandana around the neck, a denim jacket, and a straw boater hat! You can also wear it with a flowy dress over your bathing suit or with a floral romper- so versatile!
Las alpargatas es uno de los modelos que nunca falla para la Primavera-Verano, especialmente si vas a hacer turismo en un destino tropical. Este par es de Indigo RD ($39.95) va con todo tipo de outfits veraniegos. Esta vez lo combiné con unos jeans negros, una camisa de rayas, mi bandana roja, y mi sombrero favorito... este es como el look perfecto para explorar una nueva ciudad. También puedes usarlo con un vestido suelto sobre tu traje de baño o con un romper de flores- versatilidad al máximo.
2.Athleisure
The sneaker trend isn’t going anywhere…and I’m not complaining, ‘cause my feet aren’t either! Even though I’m only 5’2, I absolutely love the “Athleisure” trend and how it’s appropriate to wear sneakers basically everywhere! You can go for a classic pair of white sneakers but I feel this season is the time to be a little more daring- these satin blush Madden Girl sneakers are EVERYTHING. Think pom poms, perforated leather, bows, embroidery, etc.
I went for a comfortable grey shirtdress with a super cool floral bomber that matched my blush sneakers perfectly. You can also wear this edgy pair with boyfriend jeans and a light sweater or white overalls and a cute crop top.
La moda de los zapatos de gomas o sneakers no va a ningún lado.. y ¡no me quejo! (mis pies tampoco se quejan!!). Aunque solo mido un poco más de medio metro, amo la tendencia atlética y como podemos usar sneakers para todos lados. Las temporadas pasadas vimos muchos sneakers blancos sencillos pero este año arriésgate un poco más. Por ejemplo, estos de un tono rosa pálido con una bolita peluda son de Madden Girl.
Inspirada por el color de los zapatos, quise usarlos con un bomber floral del mismo color rosado. También tengo pensado usarlos con unos jeans estilo boyfriend o con una braguita blanca y crop top.
3. Embellishment
Add excitement to a basic shoe style with sequins, pompoms, embroidery, you name it! I love pumps and I love this modern take on pumps with its denim color, chic block heel (that’s also embroidered!!). This Jessica Simpson pair is definitely a head turner. You can wear them with denim (all denim with pops of red is so perfect for Spring). I can’t wait to wear it with a light white midi dress!!
Dale un toque divertido a los zapatos clásicos con lentejuelas, pompones, bordados, etc. A mi me encantan los tacones cerrados y este de mezclilla con bordado y tacón grueso me pareció . Este par es de Jessica Simpson - puedes usarlo con un look completo de mezclilla (a mi me encanta todo denim con los toqes de rojo!), ¡pero también quedarán bellas con un vestido midi blanco!
4. Minimal Sandals
Some days you just want your outfit to shine; and that’s when a minimalist sandal does its job! Go for a nude minimal sandal to elongate your legs! Because I am still obsessed with velvet, I had to get these CL by Laundry Velvet Sandals; the color is perfect, the kitten heel is hotter than ever (and oh-so comfortbale!), and the price? Just $39.95!
The luxe velvet texture inspired me to wear this for a night-out with the hubby. They go perfectly with a blush metallic skirt, white top, and statement earrings! You can also dress them down with jeans or a pastel colored romper!
Hay dÃas que quieres que tu outfit sea totalmente el protagonista; y ahà es cuando las sandalias minimalistas hacen su trabajo. Por ejemplo, los dÃas que quieras alargar tus piernas, busca unas del color de piel. Yo, que todavÃa sigo obsesionada con el terciopelo, escogà estas de CL by Laundry Velvet Sandals; com pueden ver, me encanta este tono rosa y el tacón bajo las hace cómodas pero elegantes para cualquier ocasión.
La textura elegante del terciopelo me inspiró para usarlas con una falda metalizada del mismo color; un top blanco, y unos aretes muy llamativos. Pero estos tacones también visten a unos jeans sencillos o a un romper de tonos pasteles.
5. Slides
Ok. I think this is my favorite trend for Spring 2017!! This style is backless and open toe, and they can be easily worn casually and formally. These red slides from Aldo add a little height (which I always appreciate!), and they are so comfortable! They also come in tan and black, but this shade of orangy-red makes a statement no matter how you wear them. While shooting them, I wanted to wear them with absolutely everything! You are going to see them a lot on the blog! They look amazing with cocktail dress..and well, more of a hipster-looking outfit!
Ok, creo que esta es mi favorita . Este estilo es el más fácil de usar tanto en ocasiones casuales como formales. Estas son de Aldo y ni se imaginan lo cómodas que son (pero me dan un par de centÃmetros extra, cosa que siempre aprecio). Vienen en tan, negras, y en este tono de rojo-anaranjado (que se ve bellÃsimo con lo que utilices). Me costó mucho escoger que outfit porque básicamente querÃa usarlas con todo. Estoy segura que las verán muchÃsimo en el blog.

The fashion world is not ready to let the 70s inspiration go…and it’s not surprise that suede is here to stay! This material is regularly associated with cooler weathers…but it is also perfect for Spring! This season, many designers sent pieces made of suede down the runway….and I’m so excited to find this trend at Express- one of my favorite stores.
There are many great ways to wear suede…from jackets, skirts, dresses-, handbags, and boots they all continue to be all the rage! You can pair suede with boho pieces- like I did here while in Palm Springs. The desert always brings the bohemian side of me, so I added a hat, a cute black handbag, and these gorgeous lace-up suede flats (also from Express).
But you can also go for a streamlined look by pairing it with timeless pieces. For example, I absolutely love these Express suede culottes with a simple top and classic heels.

El mundo de la moda en estos momentos sigue muy inspirado por la década de los 70s...incluyendo la tela de gamuza. Este material se ve mucho en la época de otoño, pero como pueden ver también es perfecto durante la primavera. Esta temporada, muchos diseñadores mostraron piezas de gamuzas en las pasarelas- y en Express encontré esta tendencia a buenos precios.
Hay muchas maneras de usar gamuza...en chaquetas faldas, vestidos...hasta en carteras y botas!! Especialmente me gusta combinar gamuza con piezas bohemias- como hice en este viaje a Palm Springs. El desierto siempre saca a relucir mi lado Boho- por eso agregué un sombrero, una carterita negra también de gamuza, y estos zapatos con trenzas.
Pero esta tendencia no tiene que ser 100% bohemia, puedes optar por un look más clásico. Por ejemplo, puedes combinar estos culottes de gamuza de Express con un top sencillo blanco y unas sandalias clásicas.

As I've mentioned before... all Sundays are going to be about BEAUTY!! Some of you might know but I am a "certified makeup artist" and I'm a beauty junkie. I love trying out new beauty products and I want to share my opinion about them. So let's start with 4 beauty trends for this Spring/Summer 2012.
(1) At home ombré: ombré has been around a couple of seasons but I really want to try this trend, very subtle of course. It used to be considered very complicated but L'Oréal just came out with a home kit and a special hair brush that makes it very easy to do. I'm going to try it in two weeks ...but don't worry, I'll record the whole process so you can see how it works.
(2) Velvet skin and vibrant lips: people always say that if you are wearing a bright lip color, you should keep the rest simple. And this trend is the epiphany of the rule: it must look like you aren't wearing any makeup beside the lipstick. For this I really recommend L'Oreal Miracle Blur, I've been using it for a couple of weeks and I love it. It makes pores look smaller, it smoothes skin, and it has SPF30. After that, just add foundation and your favorite lip color.
(3) Nude nails: after so much nail art and vibrant colors, our nails deserve a little break with natural-looking nailpolishes. They are easy to maintain, these L'Oreal nailpolishes last 10 days, and the best part..they go with anything in your wardrobe.
(3) Cat eye eyeliner: more than a trend this has become a classic... and the best part is that you can personalize it and make it as dramatic or classic as you want. This is another of the L'Oreal products I completely love and recommend, "The Infallible Super Slim eyeliner". The tip is very precise (just 0.4mm), it lasts 12 hrs, and it's very easy to apply.

Como les mencioné... ¡¡ahora todos los domingos serán dedicados a la parte de belleza!! No se si algunas saben pero hace dos años hice un curso de maquillaje por 3 meses, y tengo un certificado de "maquilladora profesional. Siempre me ha gustado intentar nuevos productos y me gustarÃa compartir un poquito más mis experiencias. Empiezo esta sección con cuatro tendencias de maquillaje para esta Primavera/Verano 2013.
(1) Ombré en tu casa: desde hace varias temporadas hemos visto el cabello ombré o degradado en todos lados (también conocido como mechas californianas). Y aunque suele ser considera un proceso complicado, L'Oréal acaba de sacar un kit casera con un cepillo super fácil de usar. Yo finalmente me voy a animar a probar esta tendencia en unas semanas...no se preocupen, compartiré todo en video y paso a paso para mostrarles como lo pueden hacer ustedes también.
(2) Piel perfecta y labios llamativos: siempre dicen que si llevas los labios llamativos, el resto del maquillaje debe ser lo más sencillo posible. Y esta temporada, esta regla es mas fuerte todavÃa... es como si no tuvieras maquillaje en el resto de la cara. Para esto te recomiendo L'Oreal Miracle Blur: es un primer excelente (lo llevo usando varias semanas), hace que la piel te quede extremadamente sedosa- aparte de dejarte la piel sedora, reduce el tamaño de los poros y tiene protector solar. Luego puedes usar tu color favorito en los labios (algunas opciones acá).
(3) Uñas al desnudo: después de tanto "nail-art" y colores llamativos, esta temporada puedes darle un descanso a tus uñas y usar colores que parezca que no llevas nada puesto. Son fáciles de mantener, estas de L'Oreal duran 10 dÃas... y lo mejor de todo: ¡combinan con toda tu ropa!
(4) Ojos de gato: esto más que una tendencia se ha convertido en un clásico.. y tu decides que tan dramático quieres que sea el look. Otro de los productos de L'Oreal que probé fue el delineador "Infallible Super Slim"- y me fascina. La punta es extremadamente precisa (0,4mm), dura 12 horas, y es muy fácil de aplicar.
