Just in case you haven't noticed...here's a post FULL of pics- and believe me, I was a little picky. Last week, I went with a group of friends to a small island in Puerto Rico called Culebra. We had an amazing time there. The first day was LONG; we woke up very early to get everything ready at the marina. Before actually arriving to Casa Guava- where we stayed and it's honestly a paradise- we stopped at Luis Peña, a gorgeous peach. We spent the whole day swimming, tanning and jumping off the boat. At Sunset we headed to the house to get everything ready for our stay...we ate, and went to sleep (it felt like it was late, but it actually wasn't). I hope the pictures captured our first day! XOXO

Por si no se han dado cuenta...este post está cargado de fotos!! - pero como no compartirlas todas. La semana pasada fui a una isla en Puerto Rico llamada Culebra- fui con un grupo de amigos de Miami y de verdad que la pasamos espectacular. El primer dÃa empezó tempranito arreglando todo para salir en barco a Culebra, que queda como a una hora. Antes de llegar a Casa Guava - la casa donde nos estuvimos quedado, que por cierto es un espectáculo- paramos en una playita llamada Luis Peña y ahà pasamos toda la tarde. Al caer el sol llegamos a la casa, acomodamos todo....comimos.. y disfrutamos hasta tarde! Espero que las fotos hayan capturado nuestro dÃa. . Un abrazo inmenso!
As every Wednesday...here's another remix- this time with some orange shorts from Zara. I got them last year in sale and I feel like they are extremely versatile. Como todos los miércoles, aquà les traigo otro REMIX- esta vez con unos shorts anaranjados de Zara. Los compré el año pasado en rebajas y siento que les he sacado bastante provecho. Como pueden ver el naranja combina extremadamente bien con colores vibrantes, pasteles y neutrales. Cuéntame que look es tu favorito y como utilizarÃas esta pieza. ¡Abrazos!
After the "Swim Week" craziness, I just wanted to be comfy and not even care about what the humidity did to my hair....so frizzy! It was raining like craz and it wasn't that hot, perfect timing to wear this knitted sweater. I actually wore this sweater with black jeans to school, but this time I wanted to add a little more color with some orange shorts and I kept the rest of the look simple with nude accessories. I wore this to go to a Brazilian restaurant called BrazaViva; to anyone living/visiting Miami, I completely recommend it. The quality of the food/meat is very similar to Texas de Brasil- but it's only around $30 (all you can eat meat, salad, and side dishes). I went with my dad, who was visiting me, and Gabo- we had so much fun! I hope you liked this look after all the dressed up ones from Swim Week! XOXO

Después de la locura de la Semana de la Moda, lo que querÃa era estar cómoda y ni preocuparme por mi melena... ¡llena de frizz! El dÃa estuvo bastante lluvioso, lo cual refresco considerablemente el calorón de Miami y pude usar este suétercito azul clarito tejido. Aunque también lo usé para la universidad con unos jeans negros , quise agregar un poquito más de color con unos shorts anaranjados.. y de resto, solo accesorios nude y sencillos. Esto lo utilicé para ir a comer a un restaurante de carnes Brasilera llamado BrazaViva- si vives en miami, te lo recomiendo: la calidad es igual a la de Texas de Brasil pero por solo $30 (carne, ensalada, y complementos ilimitados). Fui con mi papá, que estaba de visita en Miami, y con Gabo; la pasamos cheverÃsimo! ¡Espero que les haya gustado este look más cómodo después de tantos arregladitos! ¡Un abrazo grandote!
When it comes to color-blocking, the best way to make colors pop is using complementary colors (red+green, yellow+purple... and one of my favorites: orange+blue). At first I wanted to add simple nude shoes and a nude clutch, but I decided to spice things up a little and add a faux-pantent leather clutch from Jill Milan, and some "dalmatian" shoes from "Pink&Pepper" (which are very affordable too!). I wore this to go out and have dinner with my boyfriend's family at this cute place- that I forgot the name- in Merrick Park and the food was delicious too. Btw, I'm so upset about the wrinkles in my clothing- I seriously ironed it TWICE...but car rides in Miami are not forgiving. I hope you are having a amazing Father's Day with your family (I'll be missing my dad and thinking of him the whole day). XOXO

Cuando se trata de color-blocking; para que los colores resalten, lo mejor es buscar colores que se complementen (rojo y verde, amarillo y morado... y naranja y azul!) TenÃa tiempo queriendo hacer esta combinación- al principio querÃa agregar solo unos zapatos y cartera color nude pero dije "no! vamos a hacerlo más divertido"- por eso agregué una cartera neutral pero unos zapatos como de "dálmatas" (que por cierto son de una nueva llamada "Pink&Pepper", bellos y económicos). El plan fue salir a cenar con la familia de mi novio a un sitio por Merrick Park lindÃsimo y comimos super rico. Por cierto, no tienen idea como estuve peleando con la ropa, la planché dos veces antes de salir... pero estas manejadas tan largas en Miami arrugan lo que sea. Espero que estén pasando un dÃa muy lindo con sus papás, yo estoy extrañando al mÃo de lejitos pero pensando mucho en él! Besos grandÃsimos!
The day started super early for an 8am class (I was about to go to class in my pjs today!). I had a quiz, the professor lectured us for a while and I came back home to sleep for a couple of hours! When I woke up, I really wanted to dress up a little. I headed to eat and do some errands for class- I went to Michael's (an arts&crafts store) because I needed to get some materials for a project. I had an amazing idea in mind but I knew it wouldn't come out as expected so I decided to lower the difficulty. I'll definitely show it to you when it's ready! After that I came back home to do homework and study (aghh). About my outfit: I wanted to wear this scarf as a turband (turban+headband), you have already seen it as a skirt and as a regular scarf. I also wanted to show you this amazing necklace from Brittney Miranda- I love the little gold spikes, you can dress it up or down. On formspring somebody asked me to do more outfits with this nude wedges... so I invite you to head up to formspring and ask me anything! El dÃa empezó tempranito para ir a las clases a las 8 am ( ni les cuento del outfit porque estuve apunto de irme en pijamas). Tuve un quiz y regresé a la casa a dormir otro ratito- como les he dicho, no soy de despertarme temprano. Después quise arreglarme para ir a pasear, comer, y hacer unas diligencias. Les cuento que estuve horas paseando en Michael's (un sitio que venden materiales para hacer proyectos); tenÃa una idea genial para un trabajo de una clase pero después de pensarlo mucho decidà bajarle el nivel de dificultad (soy bastante perfeccionista, y se que no iba a quedar como lo veÃa en mi mente). Llegué a la casa a seguir estudiando (esto es a millón, he tenido quiz/examenes todos los dÃas). Sobre el outfit: ya han visto esta bufanda hasta de falda. También querÃa mostrarles este collar de Brittney Miranda- tenÃa tiempo buscando uno asà con pullitas y dorado, apenas lo và me enamoré. Dependiendo de con que lo combines puede ser elegante o casual. En formspring me pidieron que utilizara estas plataformas de nuevo, si quieren: pregúntenme lo que sea por esa vÃa. El perrito que ven en las fotos en un perrito callejero, siempre le llevamos comidita de perro (cada vez se nos acerca más). Cuéntenme que les pareció el outfit, que cambiarÃa- me encanta oir sus ideas!
