You, me (a plus one), and the sea!
I already did a REMIX on this dress from WhoWhatWear x Target. I've been meaning to wear it over a swimsuit for SO LONG. I even took it with me to Miramar Beach but I forgot to style it. I loved how it looked with this half and half one-piece swimsuit and the head scarf for mixing prints.
Like I've mentioned, the scarf is from my friend Valentina at Silk by MVTrends. I wore it different ways during this trip and I've been thinking of doing a mini tutorial on ways to style it. Let me know what you girls think.
The week Hurricane Irma was about to strike, approximately 6 million people from Florida decided to evacuate to safety, to put just what you need in a small bag and go away with the uncertainty of what might happen to everything you left behind...everything you have worked all your life towards. It puts everything into perspective; that none of the materials things really matter. All of these things only weigh us down. I think this uncertainty also gave us a sense of freedom, of going with the flow, of driving without a destination for days. It took us to places we would have never imagined. It reminded us of living in the moment, of focusing in friendships/relationships, laughs, and making memories. Again, thanks for all the sweet messages asking if we are okay🙏🏼💓
DO IT FOR THE GRAM- the original picture is right above this one💓
As you can see, Vicky and I were terrified of the birds- laughing and screaming while Gaby from Voguish Diet was having the time of her life feeding them....but yeah,we got it and you would have never known how much screaming happened hahhaa

We failed trying to recreate a pic from 2008...but this turned out cute right?

When you are striking a "sexy" pose as a joke but you totally end up really liking the photo 🤣💓 We all got dolled up for fun by my friend Vicky (Vicky Alvarez!) and I seriously need to learn how to do my eyebrows like how she did them 😭😭

BEACH BUNNY SWIMSUIT
💓Dreams are made of sand and sun...kimonos and swimsuits!
If you guys ever have the chance to visit Miramar Beach (close to Pensacola), GO🙌🏼 definitely one. We ended up here because of Hurricane Irma, but -besides everything- I'm glad it took us to this gorgeous place. Originally we were going to New York but we couldn't go to New York for NYFW, our flight was cancelled due lack of crew (completely understandable, people just want to be with their families and prepare for the hurricane). The airline couldn't give us back our bags until next week, so we headed home- repacked an emergency bag and started driving up north, as far as we could get. We drove for more than 17 hours, for a destination that's regularly 8 hours away. The traffic was just INSANE, but I'm happy everyone was just trying to stay safe running away to what could have been a catastrophe. Thanks to everyone who kept emailing us to see if we were okay!

At the end of June, we headed to Jamaica with Azul Sensatori - a gourmet-all-inclusive hotel in Negril, Jamaica- for the opening of a new area of the hotel. We were so excited, we had worked with this hotel company before check out my article of 10 things to do in El Dorado Seaside in México by clicking here).
The hotel in Negril is about an hour away from Montego Bay Airport. The hotel is easy to navigate, not that big but with absolutely everything you need (fitness center, water activities, many delicious restaurants, etc). I'm going to do a separate article on it! Stay tuned! But look at that BLUE OCEAN!!
Before Jamaica, my last pit stop was Nordstrom. 🛍 I was looking for some super high waisted shorts I could wear over my swimsuits...and I ended up picking this gorgeous floral one-piece too and these statement earrings that give a little glam to any beach or summer outfit (day to night). I'm linking everything below the "get the look".
¡FELIZ DIA!
Hello Hello!! As I’ve told you, I was in Palm Springs recently with Target previewing the Swim collection for 2016 and its major trends. We stayed at the Parker Hotel- which was incredibly beautiful and had the time of our lives…wish we could have stayed there for at least a month (one can dream!!).
On our first day, we got settled in (after a long flight from Miami) and we headed to dinner with the Target team, magazine and website editors, and the other influencers. The second day, we went on the most beautiful hike on the Indian Canyon (you can read all about it by clicking here); and then we headed to Leo Dicaprio’s Palm Spring house to preview the collection. Just mentioning Leo’s name you know how amazing that house was. In the pool/garden area, Target had set up 4 different booths, once for each of the major swimwear trends. I honestly couldn’t pick my favorite swimsuit…one of each please!! I was also very glad to see different mannequins with different body types, I love how Target doesn’t cater to only 1 body type of the tall/very thin girl….because we ALL have bikini bodies and we should all enjoy the fun in the sun this summer!
So I wanted to sit down today and tell you everything about these 4 trends, how I wore them, and some tips on how you can try this trend too.

¡Hola Hola!
Here's another look from Puerto Rico. I was planning on saving it for later - I don't really like posting too many swimsuit shoots.
This is not the first time I use an "all black look" at the beach; I know beach/pool is generally associated with brighter colors but I like the juxtaposition of it. I didn't plan this look at all when packing (I think I have mention that because of the blog, I like planning daily looks and I even take pictures of the layouts on the floor). I took this dress because I wanted to wear it with a gold blazer for New Years Eve ; but the humidity was crazy that day and wearing a blazer didn't feel appropriate. I took the bathing suit- which I was supposed to wear during our wedding weekend BUT I forgot it (I was trying it on when packing and I left it in the bathroom). When getting ready in PR, I realized the backless dress and the swimsuit go AMAZINGLY together…the detail on the back of the swimsuit looks like it's part of the dress and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
Hope you are having a fantastic weekend! XOXO

¡BESOS GRANDISIMOS! FELIZ FIN DE SEMANA!

I can't believe I completely forgot about these pictures from our trip to Puerto Rico last month. We were working like crazy doing the video for Sole Society and for my collection with Melao. However, there is always time for the beach when you are in PR.
This time I wore this gorgeous one-piece swimsuit with sheer details on the side from MALU DESIGNS. This swimsuit is part of their newest collection, they are based in South Florida and you have to check them out! I think one-piece swimsuits are a big trend for this summer...so let's forget about those tiny bikinis! I paired the swimsuit with my favorite panama hat and some fun sunglasses...and of course, tons of sunblock (always take care of your skin!!). Have an amazing day! XOXO

WHAT I'M WEARING:
