At first, I wasn't sure about coming to New York Fashion Week …mainly because of the weather. This  Caribbean girl is not used to freezing temperatures. However, I got the fun opportunity to work with Sperry and Chictopia during this fashionable week. They invited me to attend Rubin and Chapel's show at the Standard Hotel….the view was breathtaking (plus the models were against the view…creating the perfect backdrop). The place was packing with photographers and celebrities (even the Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, Morgan Steward, was one of the models). When the models were getting ready, they were hanging out in Sperry shoes- I joined them by wearing a the gold metallic pair, it has a modern twist on the classic boat shoe. It was also so much fun seen Sperry shoes on the runway; they really gave the looks some everyday comfort and versatility.

As far as the outfit for the show, I wore my new favorite black ankle booties from  Sperry   you girls are going to see them so often on the blog. They have a quilted and suede detail on the back of the shoe  and they are leather on the front …PLUS they are extremely comfy! I was dying to wear this plaid coat so I just paired it with some gray jea
ns and a black scarf!

Originalmente no estaba segura si venir a Nueva York para La Semana de la Moda….especialmente por el clima. Esta venezolana en Miami no esta acostumbrada a estas temperaturas bajo cero. Pero me llegó una oportunidad increíble de trabajar con Sperry y Chictopia en esta semana tan importante en la industria de la moda. Me invitaron a la pasarela de Rubin and Chapel en el Hotel Standard…la vista era un espectáculo (aparte las modelos estuvieron posando con la vista de fondo…se veía increíble). El evento estaba lleno de fotógrafos y celebridades (hasta una de las estrellas de "Rich Kids of Beverly Hills", Mogan Steward, estuvo modelando). Mientras las modelos se estaban arreglando, todas tenían unos zapatos Sperry puestos…divertidísimos en un color metálico. También me encanto ver como los zapatos Sperry le daban un toque "real" y cómodo a la pasarela.

Para mi look…primero que nada, escogí estas botitas negras de Sperry- que de una me disculpo porque van a salir a cada rato en el blog. Tienen un detalle estilo "alcohado"en gamuza en la parte de atrás y cuero por delante….aparte son comodísimos. Con este frío estaba muy emocionada de usar esta chaqueta de tartán roja combinada con unos jeans grises y una bufanda negra.
