The weather in Miami this weekend was pure perfection…which
means BEACH TIME! It’s great when you can find a
complete head-to-toe look in one place, and I was excited to partner with Lord & Taylor to get everything I need for the start of summer!
At the beach, you can never go wrong with a denim shorts +
kimono + swimsuit combo. I loved the color of this bikini from Marc by Marc Jacobs. I think bandeaus are extremely comfortable and flattering for my bust
size. You can easily wear this look to eat by the sea and then take your shorts
off to walk around the beach with just the kimono.
This BCBGeneration kimono has a cool distressed mosaic print so you could even dress it up with a cute white dress
and heels. Lately, I’ve been wearing white denim shorts even more often than
the regular blue jeans…they go with everything and they scream, “I’M READY FOR SUMMER”!.
If you are thinking about a new pair of sandals this summer,
go for white soled sandals! I found this Vince Camuto pair at Lord & Taylor and I loved the metallic strap…it takes summer
sandals to another level! Also, a summer look is not complete without a hat but you all know how
much I love hats! I’m obsessed with this Kate Spade straw hat that has ladybugs embroidered on it…how adorable!

Este fin de semana, los días en Miami estuvieron espectaculares… ¿saben lo que eso significa? PLAYITA!! Y mejor cuando tenía un look veraniego completo (de pies a cabeza) de Lord & Taylor por estrenar.
Cuando voy a la playa, yo siempre opto por esta combinación porque me parece muy cómoda: shorts + kimono + bikini. Mi traje de baño es de Marc by Marc Jacobs. me encantó el color y el estilo bandeau es muy favorecedor para chicas con un busto como el mio.Este look lo puedes utilizar para ir a comer cerca de la playa; y luego te puedes quitar los shorts para caminar en la playa. Este kimono de BCBGeneration es una belleza, me encantó el estampado…aparte lo puedes usar con un vestidito blanco y tacones para una noche romántica (me imagino una cena con el atardecer de fondo de vacaciones). Ultimamente he estado utilizando denim shorts blancos (en vez de los clásicos azules) porque van con todo y son más veraniegos.
Si estas pensando invertir en un par de sandalias para este verano; busca unas que tengan la suela blanca (están muy de moda!). Yo encontré este par de Vince Camuto pair en Lord & Taylor pero me gustó como tienen una tirita metálica. Finalmente, un look de verano no está completo sin un sombrero…bueno yo y mis sombreros. Este de Kate Spade se va a convertir en mi favorito; tiene mariquitas rojas…díganme si no se ven tiernísimas.

The past Thursday I attended an event at Cafeina (Wynwood) with Cover FX and an amazing group of media, bloggers, and influencers. I really liked the concept of Cover FX Custom Cover Drops; where you can basically personalize all your makeup. For example, if your foundation is a little too light or too dark, you add a drop and it will make it your exact shade. A makeup expert told me my exact shade (N35 in case you want a reference). Since the whole concept was about personalizing, there was a Sangria bar where you could add different fruits and flavors to your drink. Well, about my look…I'm all about darker looks lately. I guess this season, the whole "SPRING" thing with pastels is not really happening for me. So I ended up wearing an all-black look with a gorgeous embellished kimono from Asos. What do you think!? El jueves fui a un evento en Cafeína (Wynwood) junto a Cover FX y un grupo increíble de bloggers y medios. El concepto de Cover FX "Custom Cover drops" es personalizar tu maquillaje con solo unas gotitas de este producto. Ese día me dijeron que tono exacto soy (N35 por si les interesa la referencia); y ya quiero probarlo. Estas gotitas puedes agregarlas a ese maquillaje que tal vez es muy claro o muy oscuro y lo transforma a tu color exacto. Como el tema era personalizar, también había una barra de sangría donde podías agregarle lo que quisieses. Pronto les contaré bien estilo reseña del producto, pero me pareció muy interesante. En cuanto a mi look, yo estoy 100% anti-primavera…lo que quiero usar son looks más grunge y oscuros. ¡Por eso opté por una faldeta + camisa negra con un kimono hermoso! ¡Les mando un abrazo grande!!
As I mentioned on a recent post…I rarely wear jumpsuits because they are always too long on me but I guess the 70s trend has me obsessed with them lately. I have to admit they are very comfortable (well, minus that moment you realize you drank too much water and you basically have to get fully naked to go to the bathroom…too much information but you girls know it's true hahaha). To take this jumpsuit from elegant-ish to boho, I added a long crochet kimono (which is one of my favorites…I have to double check if I have done a remix with it). I gave it an edgier vibe with the dark lips, the choker, and random braids on my hair. I wore this on Thursday to go to an event with Michael Kors for its new nail polishes…I went for a nude color called HINT, gorgeous! Today is Sunday but I have so much to do for the blog… a fun fun fun video and some pictures! Have a fantastic Sunday! LOVE YOU ALL!

Como les conté en un post anterior, yo no he sido muy de jumpsuits porque siempre me quedan muy largos. Pero hay que admitir que son súper cómodos (exceptuando el momento en el que te das cuenta que tomaste mucha agua y que básicamente hay que desnudarse para ir al baño!). Para hacer este look más bohemio y menos "elegante", lo combiné con un kimono de crochet largo. En Snapchat (danidaniramirez) les puse que me sentía un poquito brujita; supongo que por la gargantilla, los labios oscuros, y las trenzas que tenía en el cabello. Esto lo utilicé el jueves para ir a un mini evento con Michael Kors donde probamos las nuevas pinturas de uña…yo opté por un nude clásico que va con todo que se llama HINT, bellísimo! Hoy es domingo pero tengo mil cosas que hacer para el blog…unas fotos, vídeos, layouts…todo muy divertido por supuesto! ¡ABRAZOS GIGANTES, l@S quiero!
I seriously need to start scheduling the post ahead of time. Generally, I take the pictures in advance and write the copy of the post the actual day I publish it. But lately… I don't know, my head has been all over the place! I have many looks to publish and I keep forgetting to update the blog! wore this dress last week with a very feminine look. But the print of the dress can be edge up too with the right pieces. Reason why I went for an oversized jean jacket and some Dr. Martens boots. Excuse my hair, I guess the humidity is already in Miami and it was not cooperating with me that day. Semi solution: a half-pony! I can't believe it is already Friday! Tengo que empezar a dejar los posts listos para que se publiquen solos…es que generalmente, aunque tomemos las fotos una semana antes, me gusta escribirles el día que publico el post. Pero me he estado atrasando, tengo varios por publicar!! Como les conté la semana pasada que vieron este vestido de una manera muy femenina y clásica; el estampado hace que puedas combinarlo con piezas más edgy o grunge para un look alternativo. Por eso agregué una chaqueta de jean grande y unos botines Dr. Martens. Mi cabello estaba extra rebelde ese día..es que la humedad ya llegó a Miami y no había manera de peinarlo. Semi solución: una media cola. No puedo creer que ya es viernes…les mando un abrazo gigante!! Y feliz fin de semana!
Like I shared on the previous post, this Easter weekend we headed to St Augustine. Lately we really want to travel more and get to actually see the world. I feel that we are very lucky because we can work from anywhere (thankfully the blog has become our job and we even believe it will enrich the blog too). We want to start with shorter road trips around Florida, and then we really want to do a coast to coast road trip (especially focusing on smaller towns rather than big cities). So our first destination was the oldest town in the U.S and on our second day we headed to "El castillo de San Marcos" (which looks a lot like Puerto Rico's El Morro..which is one of my favorite places ever!). Como les conté, este fin de semana nos fuimos a San Agustín. Ultimamente tenemos muchas ganas de viajar y de conocer el mundo. Nos sentimos muy afortunados porque nuestro trabajo (que gracias a Dios, el blog se ha convertido en nuestro trabajo) lo podemos hacer desde donde sea y no queremos atarnos a un sitio (aunque a mi me encanta Miami y me parece el sitio indicado por su comunidad bilingüe). Queremos empezar por Florida, ir en carro a diferentes ciudades e ir documentando lo que hemos visto en el blog. Así que nuestro primer destino fue la ciudad más antigua de Estados Unidos. El segundo dia fuimos al Castillo de San Marcos (el cual nos recordó a un Morro pequeño…el Morro me encanta así que no pudo decir mucho al respecto jajaja). Aquí les dejo muchas fotos del castillo. Yo soy de las que se la pasa buscando piezas a la moda pero a buen precio…y que sean de buena calidad- creo que es algo que nuestra generación no solo busca, sino espera de las marcas. Por eso les quería contar de una nueva marca en Lord & Taylor llamada Design Lab con la que voy a estar trabajando estos meses de primavera. Y les tengo que confesar…me encantó la colección! Hay tantas piezas que me encantaron…¡y el precio promedio es $64!
Les cuento de mi outfit. A mi me encantan las falda-short…¡son tan cómodas! El es estampado de esta falda-short es lindísimo; es perfecto para ir a la playa o para salir con tus amigas (todo depende de como lo combines). En esta ocasión opté por un look cómodo y lo combiné con una camisa blanca que tiene una textura acolchada. Y finalmente…si, estoy usando unas sandalias que critiqué mucho. Pero nunca digas nunca. Yo cuando era chiquita decía que nunca me iba a poner cosas a la cintura o accesorios dorados…y esas son de mis tendencias favoritas hoy en día! El detalle de cristalitos le da un toque más femenino a estas sandalias toscas.
The Gingham print was seen all over the runway shows for Spring/Summer 2015. It used to be a boring grandma-type of print…but not any more. To make it modern and fresh, wear it on fun pieces like romper, flirty dresses, or two-pieces. Even though this is one of the main prints for Spring…we are still in a transitional time- reason why I paired it with over the knee boots and a faux leather vest. I'm sure I will wear it later on with flat sandals and a fedora to go to the beach.
An update on my thesis: I finally started my presentation and I'm feeling motivated. I can't wait to finally close this chapter of my life and start working on tons of projects and professional goals I've made! OXOX

estampado, conocido en ingles como Gingham, fue uno de los estampados más
vistos en las pasarelas Primavera-Verano 2015. Pero ya no es el estampado de
mantel, es considerado una de las tendencias más importantes esta temporada. Para que no se vea aburrido, úsalo en piezas modernas y juveniles. Yo agregué las botas y el chaleco porque, aunque en teoría ya estamos en Primavera, seguimos estando en un clima de transición. Más adelante utilizaré este romper con sandalias y tal vez un sombrero de paja para un día de playa.

I discovered the Victoria's Secret PINK bralettes two years ago and I haven't stopped wearing ( I have several colores…I honestly LOVE THEM). Now they also come with push-up support; the padding offers great shape and lift while being very comfortable. The VICTORIA'S SECRET PINK Push-up bralette is definitely a must-have for the Spring wardrobe…plus all the bright colors are great for this season. I also think the bralette is the perfect layering item; you can wear it by its own like a crop top or underneath a light tank (just add your favorite high waisted denim shorts and you are ready for a Spring party). Hace 2 años descubrí los bralette de Victoria's Secret PINK y no he dejado de usarlos (los tengo en muchísimos colores). Son comodísimos, y el toque de encaje se ve muy lindo debajo de camisas transparentes o con la espalda al aire. Ahora también vienen con Push-up; y definitivamente no puede faltar en tu klozet esta primavera (aparte los colores están muy vibrantes y primaverales). El VICTORIA'S SECRET PINK Push-up bralette se puede usar como un crop top o debajo de tu blusa favorita y con tus shorts a la cintura favoritos. Ahhhh se supone que en dos días entrego al tesis y todavía me faltan cositas por hacer. Pero disfruto tanto el blog que es como una manera de despejarme un ratito. When I went to NYC, I stopped at Dolce Vita's showroom for a fun brunch where we also got to pick a couple of shoes. I got these silver sneakers, I thought they were so much fun and they add a touch of coolness to the simplest look. Right now I'm in Los Angeles for a Latina blogger conference called WeAllGrow…the vibe is amazing, everywhere is so sweet! I'll tell you more about it soon! Cuando estaba en NYC, fui al showroom de Dolce Vita (que por cierto, es un espectáculo). Ahí escogí estos zapatos plateados que no me he quitado en el día a día. Me encanta porque le dan un toque cool a cualquier look…así sea extremadamente simple. As I shared, I was in NYC for Fashion Week; I spent one of the days with Sperry and Chictopia. We went to a fashion show together and I wore the Ambrose booties every other day. If you click here, you can see all details from that day. After heading back to Miami, I just wanted to be comfortable. If it would have been for me, I would have stayed in my pjs all day. However, Gabe and I headed for daily simple adventures… we went to a park that has an ocean view and you can see the cruises and boats. I was inspired to wear my classic Sperry boat shoes with a simple black pair of jeans and a striped knitted sweater! Hope you are having a great Monday! XOXO

Como les conté, estuve en Nueva York por la Semana de la Moda y uno de los días estuve compartiendo con Sperry y Chictopia.
