On another note, I wanted to tell you a little bit about my outfit. Everything I'm wearing is from a local boutique in Miami called Chez Jeanton. It feels like a private boutique, you make your appointment and the owners are there to give you styling tips... PLUS you can take as much time as you want trying things on. As soon as I walked in, I fell in love with this red jacket...I've been wearing it a lot. This time, I paired it with some classic white jeans and a fun striped blouse.
Finally, I want to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's day. I want to send you the biggest hug ever...because everyone should just hug more often! :) Don't forget this is just a date, and express your love to your family and friend ALL year. XOXO

Ayer no actualicé el blog...y hoy se me hace difÃcil hacerlo. Como saben, Venezuela está pasado por uno de sus momentos más difÃciles....y yo desde aquà sin poder salir a protestar o poner mi granito de arena. He recibido muchos reclamos, de gente diciéndome que no deberÃa estar publicando nada... "por respeto", "por luto", etc. Pero ¿qué hago? No puedo quedarme de brazos cruzados...no puedo dejar de trabajar (si, este es mi trabajo...tanto Gaby como yo, vivimos del blog y de actividades de moda... gracias a Dios- y lo hago queriendo dejar el nombre de Venezuela en alto). Lamentablemente no puedo decirle a las marcas internacionales que no puedo publicar ciertas campañas porque mi paÃs (en donde no vivo actualmente) esta en crisis. Entiendo a mis queridÃsimas amigas bloggeras venezolanas, que no es el momento...pero entiendan que no estoy allá. Pero que esto no significa que no apoyo el movimiento de lucha en Venezuela...que admiro la valentÃa de los estudiantes, me gustarÃa ser uno de ellos. ¡Mi mente y mi corazón están con ustedes! ((Si no son de Venezuela, las invito a leer de la situación, necesitamos todo el apoyo posible)
En otro tema, les quiero contar de la boutique de donde es toda la ropa que estoy utilizando en este outfit, Chez Jeanton. Me encantó que es como una boutique privada (tienen tiendas tanto en Miami como en Caracas), haces tu cita, y las dueñas están ahà para atenderte, darte consejos, y tienes todo el tiempo que quieras para probarte toda la ropa (que es traÃda de Italia y Francia). Esta chaqueta la he estado usando sin parar, el color es hermoso y le da un pop de color a cualquier look. En esta ocasión la combiné con unos jeans clásicos blancos y una camisa de rayitas para darle otra dimensión al look.
Finalmente, quiero desearles un feliz dÃa de la amistad y del amor- les mando un abrazo grandÃsimo y les agradezco todo el apoyo y cariño. ¡l@s quiero muchÃsimo! No olvides decirle a sus seres queridos que los quieren todos los dÃas...¡¡den abrazos largos más seguidos!!

Even though we were exhausted after the long flight and walking a little bit around Madrid; we changed and head out to visit an aunt that lives 30 minutes from Madrid (plus 3 aunts from Venezuela were visiting Spain too). As you can see, there was paella and a lot of food. A little bit about the look" the fact that I'm a "fashion blogger" doesn't mean that I have to create trends. On the other hand, I like looking at other blogs and getting inspired. Alexandra, from Lovely Pepa, is one of my favorites and she posted a look with this shirt that I was definitely drawn to (since I already had the shirt , the leather shorts, and the red bag). However, I definitely made it my own too with booties and a ponytail (it was hotter than expected). I hope you liked the look!! XOXO

Apesar del cansancio de nuestro primer dÃa; después de pasear por Madrid un ratito, nos fuimos a casa de una tÃa para comer con la familia (3 tÃas de Venezuela también están de visita). Como pueden ver abajo, habÃa paella!! Les cuento un poquito del look; el hecho de que yo sea "fashion blogger", no significa que invente tendencias...al contrario, me gusta inspirarme en diferentes fuentes y adaptarlas a mi estilo. Muchas veces les he mencionado que Lovely Pepa es de mis blogueras favoritas- hace un tiempo ella publicó un look con esta camisa que me gustó mucho. La camisa ya la tenÃa y no sabÃa como usarla porque es INMENSA y su look me inspiró a usarla con unos shorts de cuero y la cartera roja (ambas piezas también las tenÃa). Ahà estuvimos un rato compartiendo y comiendo muchÃsimo. Espero que les guste el look... MIL ABRAZOS!
I wore this the past Sunday to a brunch- without even realizing that was the name of the pants! I wanted to pair these high waisted pants with a crop black and white top- previously seen in the Stylewars outfit. As far as accessories, I just kept it very simple and classy with a timeless bag and some cap toe shoes. As you can see, someone is in a couple of the pictures... I know I know he should be on the blog more often. Specially because a lot of Miami restaurants and places are outdoors and they let you take your dog- so I try to take him with me as much as I can... how can I leave that face <3. I hope you are having an amazing weekend and I hope you liked this "conservative" outfit after my rocker alter-ego took over the blog! XOXO

Este look lo utilicé la semana pasada y sin darme cuenta, fue justamente para un "Sunday Brunch" - el cual es el nombre de los pantalones. Quise combinar los pantalones con este top blanco y negro corto que vieron anteriormente en el evento de Stylewars- de resto mantuve los accesorios negros/plateados. Como pueden ver, hay alguien acompañandome en las fotitos- siento que deberÃa salir más seguido. Especialmente porque en Miami hay muchos restaurantes al aire libre que dejan llevar perritos...cada vez que puedo me lo llevo, como dejarlo solo con esa carita <3. Espero que estén pasando un bonito fin de semana y que, después de tantos looks rockeritos, les haya gustado este outfit un poquito más con "conservador". Abrazos grandotes!

After GAP's event last week, I haven't stopped wearing this jeans- I swear they are my favorite, I want them in every single color... they are comfortable, soft, and feel amazing on! At GAP's event I was going more for a fall look, but this look screams SUMMER with the denim short sleeve top and the fedora. I wore this during the day with some comfy leopard loafers I got at Target last week- but then at night I wanted to get a little dressier just by switching the shoes and I went for a pair of cap-toe pointy pumps from Lovely Pepa x Krack. Desde que compré estos jeans en el evento de GAP la semana pasada, no me los he quitado- les juro que los quiero en todos los colores, son cómodos y ligeros. A diferencia del evento de GAP en donde las tendencias eran más de otoño, esta vez quise combinarlo acorde al verano: con una camisa manga corta tipo denim que llevaba buscando desde hace tiempo, mi fedora favorita, y una cartera clásica. Durante el dÃa estuve cómoda con mis loafers de leopardo- que por cierto no se los he mostrado! Luego salà a comer con Gabo y quise usar mis tacones puntiagudos con la puntita de metal de la colección de Lovely Pepa x Krack siento que hacen que el look se vea más arregladito. I spent Saturday morning helping in a fashion photoshoot for a Venezuelan store called Fiore - I was in charge of hair&makeup and Gabo was the photographer...I think the pictures came out great. After the shoot ended, Fiore gifted me this dress and I LOVE it- and apparently I couldn't even wait to wear it! Later that day we went to a new dog park in the area with Chiki, he had so much fun running around like crazy. Then, we ended the day walking in Lincoln Road- a street in Miami Beach full of restaurants, stores, nightclubs, and more. I also wanted to talk about my shoes; they were a gift from Alexandra/Lovely Pepa, blogger I truly admire, and they are part of her new show collection with Krack. All the shoes are absolutely adorable and they also help a good cause; for EVERY pair sold, they donate the vaccines necessary to help 3 children in need from the polio disease (and yes, they ship internationally!!) El sábado pasé parte de la mañana ayudando en una sesión de fotos para una tienda de Maracaibo llamada Fiore - yo estuve maquillando/peinando y Gabo de fotógrafo y considero que quedaron super bien. Al terminar la sesión me regalaron este vestidito que me ENCANTO, no solo es asimétrico sino también tiene la espalda bastante al descubierto...como pueden ver no pude esperar para utilizarlo. Luego en la tarde llevamos a Chiki a un parque de perros que hay nuevo en la zona, y finalmente terminamos el dÃa paseando por la Linconl Road- calle en Miami Beach donde hay restaurantes, tienditas, discotecas y más. También querÃa contarles un poquito sobre mis zapatos, fueron un regalo de Alexandra de Lovely Pepa, bloguera a la que admiro mucho, y son parte de su colección para Krack. Todos los modelos están lindÃsimos y también ayudan a una buena causa: con la compra de cada zapato, se podrá dar las vacunas necesarias para inmunizar a tres niños necesitados contra la enfermedad de la polio (y si! Hace envÃos internacionales!!). FELIZ SEMANA A TOD@S! ¡Abrazos grandÃsimo!

A couple of days ago, Ashley (from Ashe's into Fashion) did a tag called "dress like your favorite fashion blogger"; not only she invites everyone to participate, but she also featured me (she looks amazing, and I love that she gave it her own twist to it). As you can see at the end of this post, I took inspiration from Alexandra (lovely Pepa), I really liked how the navy bird dress looks against the bright pink blazer. This GoJane dress arrived in Miami last week (but I couldn't wear it until today because I was in Venezuela), and it was such a coincidence when I saw Alexandra was wearing a similar dress. I think it's so versatile and chic. BTW, I'm back in Miami- I spent three weeks in Caracas and I had a great time, but I'm glad to be home. It was very rainy and we could only take a couple of pics. Hace unos dÃas, la linda de Ashley (Ashe's into Fashion) hizo un tag llamado "vÃstete con tu blogera de moda favorita" y no solo nos invita a todas a participar, si no que también su outfit fue inspirado en uno de mis outfits (GRACIAS ASHLEY!!). Como van a poder ver al final de las fotos, tomé inspiración de un outfit que puso Alexandra de Lovely Pepa hace unos dÃas- también quise darle mi toque personal cambiando algunas piezas. El vestido de pajaritos lo recibà hace unos dÃas, es de GoJane y tengo muchÃsimas ideas de como utilizarlo- me encanta el azul marino y el estampado me parece super chic. QuerÃa contarles que ya estoy en Miami, regresé ayer martes y este outfit lo utilicé para ir a comer con mi novio- estaba antojadÃsima del sushi de nuestro restaurante favorito. El dÃa estaba extremadamente lluvioso, tenÃa la esperanza de que escampara un poco para poder tomar más fotos pero naaada... Espero que les haya gustado y participen en el tag!
