The next stop of the cruise was Cartagena (Colombia); which is definitely one of my favorite cities in Latin America. I went with my family in 2008 and we stayed there for a week; so we had more time to explore the city. This time was definitely a quick stop (the ship arrived at noon and we were leaving around 9pm). You could say that we did the typical tour four times: with the taxi, walking, horse carriage ride, and in a Chiva (an open type of party bus with music...regularly vallenatos). I wore a fun romper from Iconica, my panama hat, and some comfy oxfords. Hope you like the pics below!

La siguiente parada fue Cartagena de Indias, Colombia...una de mis ciudades favoritas. Tuve la oportunidad de ir con mi familia en el 2008 y me encantó; esa vez pasamos una semana completa. En esta ocasión fue una parada veloz; el barco nos dejó al mediodía y salíamos a las 9 de la noche. Se puede decir que hicimos un recorrido de la parte amurallada 4 veces: primero con el taxi que nos dejó, luego caminando, después en carroza, y finalmente en chiva. La pasamos muy chevere, estuvimos en familia todo el tiempo y Cartagena de verdad que es una ciudad hermosísima. Después de caminar muchisimo, nos montamos en una Chiva con vallenatos - y ahí hicimos diferentes paradas típicas. Utilicé un romper de Iconica, mi sombrero  de ala ancha, y unos zapatos cómodos. ¡Espero que les gusten las fotitos abajo!

I can't believe how fast the time is going by,  it feels like the Fashion For A Cause shoot we did last year was just a month away. This year the photoshoot, with the same great photographer Alexander Tamargo from AltaImages, was even bigger- more than 30 Miami fashion bloggers supported this important cause. I just want to remind you how important it is to "touch yourself"; don't be afraid , it's the best way to catch this illness in its early stages. This year's tee is from Peace Love World, and the proceeds from its sale goes to finding the cure. There will also be a cool display with all the pictures in Bloomingdales Aventura and The Falls Shopping Center.

EVENT: "BLOOMIES AND BLOGGERS x Fashion For a Cause"

Bloggers will be hitting the catwalk to support "Breast Cancer Awareness" wearing Peace Love World and the latest fall collections at Bloomingdales. There will be a styling station by Blo, cupcakes by Bunniecakes, and sips by Societe Perrier.

No puedo creer lo rápido que pasa el tiempo, me parece que fue ayer que las bloggeras de Miami tomamos las fotos de "Fashion For a Cause" del año pasado. Este año la sesión de fotos fue con el mismo fotógrafo, Alexander Tamargo de @AltaImages- y cada vez somos más, este año más de 30 bloggeras de moda nos reunimos para apoyar esta causa tan importante.  Me parece importantísimo crear conciencia y recordarles la importancia de autoexaminarse. La camisa de este año es Peace Love World, y parte de los fondos recaudados van para encontrar la cura de esta terrible enfermedad. Este año, van a poder ver las fotos en el Bloomingdales de Aventura Mall y "the Falls Shopping Center" hasta el final del mes.

  En este evento, gran parte de las bloggers que participaron van a estar modelando en una pasarela junto a Peace Love World y las últimas colecciones de esta tienda por departmento. Aparte va a haber un estación para arreglarse el cabello gracias a Blo, ponquecitos de BunnieCakes, y bebidas Societe Perrier.

I have been in Venezuela for more than 2 weeks now- and I feel so grateful. I've had the chance to meet with several venezuelan designers and brands- I can't wait to start all the projects we have in mind. I also have been to a couple of tv shows to talk about trends and fashion. The first TV segment I did was with a venezuelan brand called Icónicas- there we talked about how to wear crop tops and maxi skirts (both of the trends I'm wearing in this post). After the show, Iconicas gifted a lot of little things as a thank you for being with them on the show... can't wait to show you all of them in the blog! Check out all the Behind the Scenes pics from that day HERE. The next day I went to Merida, a city that's right by the Andes mountains. I have family there, so I always love visiting them. This time, I did a fun photoshoot with two baby cousins (they are around 2 years old). We did it at a botanical garden...so of course, I dressed up a little more to take pics there too! Ya llevo más de 2 semanas en Venezuela... y la he pasado espectacular. He tenido la oportunidad de reunirme con muchísimos diseñadores y marcas Venezolanas- y vienen muchos proyectos muy interesantes. También me siento muy afortunada porque he tenido la oportunidad de ir a dos programas de televisión. El primero fue para uno llamado "Portadas" en el canal Venevisión. Ahí estuve con los diseñadores y directores creativos de la marca Icónicas; y estuvimos hablando de como usar la tendecia de las faldas largas y los crop tops (ambas tendencias las estoy utilizando acá como pueden ver). Al final del día, el equipo de Icónica me regaló muchas cositas hermosas de agradecimiento por haberlos acompañado al programa (pueden ver muchas fotitos de ese día por ACA). Al día siguiente me fui de viaje a Mérida, una ciudad en la parte de la Cordillera de los Andes, a visitar a mi familia. Uno de esos días, me comprometí a hacerle una sesión de fotos a unas primitas de 2 añitos. Fuimos al Jardín Botánico y aproveché para tomar estas fotitos.
