COMFYDENT CONFESSIONS… with Hanes

Thursday, October 6, 2016

Today, I’m super excited to be partnering with Hanes again to talk about how I’ve learned to #BeComfydent in my own skin. You can also check out my previous posts 1. The Key to Feeling Comfydent and 2. Ten Ways To Be Fashionably Comfydent

When I was younger I was very shy; I never spoke in class and public speaking would make my knees shake out of pure fear. During my first semester in college, I stepped out a classroom because we had to do an improvised presentation - that’s how self-aware I was.

I know most of my close friends and high school classmates wonder how I’m able to take pictures of myself almost every day and share them on platforms where people are not necessarily nice from time to time…or how I’ve spoken in conferences in front of hundreds of people. I used to be very self-conscious about my body, my voice, my shyness, my “awkwardness”.

One of the biggest lessons that this blog, Nany’s Klozet has taught me is how to be “comfydent”- comfortable with myself, my body, my personality…even my craziness that just makes ME; and confident that I can reach whatever goal I put my mind into.

Fear doesn’t get you anywhere or anything; conquering your fears with “comfydence” WILL.

I’ve learned that confidence comes from the little things. It’s not about having the trendiest outfit or an expensive pair of shoes; it’s about how you comfortable you feel in whatever you are wearing.

That comfort starts with the first layer of clothes…yes, your underwear!

I’m loving Hanes Cool Comfort Hipsters because they move with me without any panty lines or ride up (plus the microfiber keeps you cool…perfect for cities like Miami where fall just takes forever!). Here I’m also wearing the ComfortFlex Fit Bra- which has a cool smart sizing …meaning it is extra easy to find your perfect size.

I might be wearing just jeans and a simple black tank, but I really felt badsass! Because when a stylish outfit is also oh-so comfortable, you are ready to say:

“Yes, I can do it. I can conquer the world”.

  1. I really like this post. I don't know personally, although I live in Miami too but I see what you mean about confidence. For me it's really hard to pose and things like that because I'm naturally shy but little by little I'm getting more used to it.

I remember when I first started following you and you are doing amazing things.

    Keep it up!
