It may be October but let’s just pretend it isn’t 90 degrees out...I mean, we still get 70 degrees everywhere with the A/C💁🏻

I'm going to link some fun styles below, in case you are looking for the perfect pair!

Over the years, I've focused in recommending you guys versatile pieces that can create an even more versatile closet.
However, unique statement pieces can also be as fun to play around. I personally take it as a challenge- this article would have been 100% easier if the beret was black, right?
So let's get into it. How STYLE A PINK BERET?
I already told you ALL ABOUT MY BABY shower (Don't forget to check it out HERE). However, like I mentioned, there was a lot planning behind it. At least two trips to the Dollar Tree, two to Target, one to Walmart, Home Depot, the flower shop, etc.
This meant lots of walking, and for a pregnant lady, that means the comfiest shoes possible. Let's break it down piece by piece!
The dress is from Alice + Olivia; so easy to dress up and to dress down. You cannot go wrong with a denim jacket to dress down a floral dress. I got it during the store preview in a size bigger so I could wear it while the belly grew. I think I doesn't fit anymore but I can't wait to wear it after baby.
This denim jacket has been with me even before the blog. It used to be a dark denim wash but Gabe helped me bleached it. In my opinion, the lighter was is a bit more timeless! I think it's time for a Remix with it!! There are probably so many looks with it and since 2011. Would you still like to see it?
Hope you liked the look and the pics! This place is in North Biscayne, not sure what street but it should be around 60th. I've seen it on Instagram and I definitely wanted to shoot there. I'm not going to lie, it did need a lot of photoshoot because it needs to be re-painted! So don't be sad if you arrive there and it doesn't look that amazing, it's all about the angles and a lot of cleaning on an editing app.

If you have been following me for a while you know tight/stretchy dresses are not my thing. I love oversized things, a good A line, and flowy dresses. However, nothing fits in my closet anymore ...and I kind of wish I had a few more cotton dresses like this one.
This pregnant combo is very common in the Kardashian family; they love bodycon dresses with duster coats and heels- and well, like I said before, they are out of my comfort zone. But again, all the fun stuff happens when you try stuff out of your comfort zone.
I originally wore it for a maternity shoot with my friend Karla Garcia- I added a cozy long cardigan and it was all shot at home. After she left, I had little time to change to go to the Create & Cultivate event I was speaking at. So I told myself: WHY NOT, let's just add this duster I have and give it a go. And I really pushed myself because I wore something I was not used to in front of at least a hundred people. It was fun!
I've had this post in my drafts for a while. There is so much I want to say but at the same time I don't know how to put the words together in a way that not only makes sense for moms/moms to be, but also for my non-mommies.
There is so much pressure for pregnant women to stay fit and tiny during pregnancy, to not have stretch marks... and don't even get me started on the pressure to bounce "back" and look better than ever AFTER the baby. But I'll probably talk more about this when I have my boy.
When you are pregnant you will hear a lot of:
"OMG you are HUGEEE, you are probably about to pop"
"OMG such a tiny belly, are you sure you are eating right?"
"OMG it has to be a boy because of XXX "
"My belly/my friend's belly was so much bigger/smaller"
As someone who has struggled with weight and diets since I was a little girl, I'm not going to lie: all of these comments offended me somehow. You can blame the hormones all you want, but it's also RESPECT.
1. Nobody wants to be told they look huge- even with triplets.
2. I really dislike being compared to anyone or analyzed. It's my body- all bodies are different- all pregnancies are different.
When I miscarried last year, I blamed myself a lot. I felt some sort of anger towards my body "for not being capable". I was able to forgive myself, to not think that it was my fault in any way. But at the same time, this fear has stayed with me throughout my pregnancy. Nutritionists might say I could have been more active or eat a bit better, but I'm just listening to my body and feeling blessed to have this little miracle inside me that I will never take for granted.
What I want to get to is that all we want to hear is that we are looking beautiful or that we are glowing (even we have been puking the whole 9 months and look terrible).
And you, fellow mom-to-be: don't be so harsh on yourself.
It's okay if your belly is bigger than others.
It's okay if you are 7 months pregnant and still have your abs.
It's okay if you gained a little more weight that you should have.
It's okay if you got stretch marks.
It's okay if you had that extra cookie.
It's okay...
You are creating life and there isn't anything more beautiful than that.
Another year...another birthday together!
Gabe turned 31 the day of these photos. I always say it but I can't believe how fast time is going by. When we met at 17-18, we really had no idea of everything that was about to come.
Last year, during his birthday, he had a broken leg and I was still bleeding from the miscarriage (TMI, I know- but you can imagine how hard it was).
On the contrary, this year, we were full of hope. We celebrated with friends and his family. It's definitely amazing how things can change in a year, how we have grown so much, but at the same time we are the same.
Ok I'm getting a little bit deep right here. But I'll continue to daydream about his 32th birthday and how it will also include a tiny little him.
ALWAYS SPEAK LOVE!
I'm amused by the amount of hate in social media. Every time I find a cute video, I try not to scroll to the comment section because most of the times, no matter what, people find something to criticize.
I'm not saying not to SPEAK UP, but it's always better to look at things positively. See the beauty, and SPEAK LOVE!
I'm reading this book called BIG MAGIC- well, I have been reading it slowly since forever. Don't judge me. It's just that every little story gives me so much to think about that I like to take my time. I
recently read about "ORIGINALITY VS AUTHENTICITY" and I wanted to share it with you gals.
When I was asked about the "key to success" when becoming a blogger, I would always talk about originality- finding what would make you unique or that gap of "what has never been seen before".
And I was wrong, it isn't originality what makes you unique is AUTHENTICITY. Whatever you chose to do in life probably has been done before (and by far more experienced, talented, and overall "better" people), but nobody has ever done it like YOU.
So if you ever doubt yourself because there is someone already out there doing it, remember that if it comes from your heart, without trying to imitate anybody or fake originality, it will work. I promise! or at least you will enjoy every second of it!
This Miami Winter was extremely short but sweet. I've probably said it a million times but living in such a hot/humid city makes you appreciate the chilly days so much more.
The few days we got a little bit of a cold-front , I was wearing oversized sweaters with over the knee boots! This is actually a men’s sweater from Forever21, I got it last Fall. I wore it with sneakers for a longgg Ikea trip (which was a total fail, we didn’t find anything we were looking for). We were starting to look at cribs and changing tables but they were HUGE and we have limited space
Then I swapped the sneakers for these AWESOME booties; and we headed to dinner with friends
Btw it’s not about “hiding the bump” , I just feel way way WAY more comfortable in looser silhouettes. Either way, at the pace this bump is growing...it will show in a LOSE dress.
Hope you are having an amazing week!
Trying to highlight was is left of my waist!
SaveSave
The past few months, I have not been the blogger- and that's okay. At the end, that's the beauty of it. This is our choice, we decide how often to blog, how much to share, and as long as we love it.
These pictures are from last Summer, we went to Boston for a wedding and we had so much fun exploring it.
So here's a little update from things I've shared on Instagram.
Changes are coming to the blog! www.nanyramirez.com already works and takes you to this page and now I am @Nany on Instagram. The opportunity to change my last name came and I had to take it!
I don't want you guys to think Nany's Klozet will "diet", it is EXPANDING. Nany's Klozet will still be the fashion section. I'm open to ideas, topics, anything you would like to see. I want NANY to be "closer", I want to share the "not-so-perfect" moments, blogging tips, more lifestyle, more travel. What do you guys think?
Over the past two years, it has been an absolute pleasure to partner with a brand I love, Hanes, for their #BeComfydent campaign. It’s simple: you can achieve anything when you are confident + comfortable. When you are “comfydent,” you shine.
As the temperatures go down, you might also start to feel a little down too. So let’s find ways to boost our self esteem, and feel “comfydent” no matter how cold it is outside.
#1 First layer
The first layer is always the most important: UNDERWEAR. If I’m wearing uncomfortable underwear, believe me, my confidence is GONE. My ultimate fave: Hanes Cool Comfort® Microfiber Hister Panties. They stay in place and move with you for all day comfort. Now you can add any thermal, leggings, pants, or anything that will make you feel like you can conquer the world.
#2 Forget about the beauty standards
Don’t let the media define how you feel about yourself. Stop comparing yourself to others. Don’t let anyone make you feel like you should be a certain size or look X way. All that matters is how proud you are with yourself. So go ahead, when it comes to clothes, forget about the size and just focus on how it makes you feel.
#3 Invest in a few winter accessories
The easiest way to update any seasonal wardrobe is by getting a few trendy accessories. No need to go crazy with a whole new wardrobe. Get a pair of statement earrings (perfect since your arms and neckline are covered) that will work amazingly for any Holiday party; or a trendy scarf that will go perfect with your favorite coat; or even a fun hat.
#4 Don’t forget to workout & eat right
I know it’s tempting to hibernate during the winter, eat yummy foods and avoid exercising. However remember what they say “summer bodies are made in the winter.” If it’s too hard to exercise outside, there are so many amazing workouts you can find online and you don't even have to leave your living room. We all know that physical activity boosts our happy hormones; so say yes to a happier, healthier, and more confident YOU.
#5 Break all the Fashion Rules:
Your real sense of style kicks in when you are wearing clothes that you feel comfortable and confident in. I could tell you to go ahead and avoid wearing leggings and a hoodie, but I’m going to say JUST the opposite. Like in the pictures above, I’m wearing Hanes Sport Women's Performance Leggings and the EcoSmart® Women’s Full-Zip Hoodie Sweatshirt
The trick to make it a little more put-together is to add glam touches; I went for a classic nude coat, burgundy lips, and a timeless flap bag. So I can go ahead and do all my errands during the winter but I'm as comfortable as I’ll ever be.
#6 Pamper yourself:
Because of changing season, you might feel your skin is drier and your hair is more brittle. The good news is that since it’s cold outside, you have time to pamper yourself- step up that beauty routine! Have fun moisturizing your skin (remember dry areas like heels and elbows) and deep conditioning your hair. Check out all the amazing DIY you can find on Instagram.
#7 Socialize
Ok it might not be picnics at the park. But make fun winter plans with your friends. It can be ice-skating, doing a cookie bake-off, or even just binging your favorite shows online.
#8 Stand tall and smile.
Happy body language instantly makes you feel better about yourself according to several studies. It reduces cortisol and boosts self-confidence.
#9 Pop of color
I know we tend to associate winter with dark colors or, well, no color at all. But even if you are tempted to wear all black, don’t be afraid to wear your favorite color. It will instantly bright up your mood. Lately I’ve seen some beautiful colorful coats that are going to make you smile. If you prefer to invest in dark winter gear, add color to your lips. It’s the easiest way and you will feel glam, beautiful, and powerful. My go-tos no matter the weather are a bright red or a mysterious burgundy.
#10 Read an inspirational book
Now that we have worked on your body, social skills, and wardrobe…it’s time to feed the soul with confidence. Take advantage of the weather, and curl up on the sofa and read an inspiration book. I’ve read a few that have changed my life in little ways. After reading them you will feel extra inspired for absolutely anything.
What are your secret to stay COMFYDENT no matter the weather outside?
Share them with us! Thank you to Hanes for partnering with me on this post.
