First of all, I want to apologize for the lack of posts in the blog. I thought I got the hang of it when Nico was a newborn but as he got older, it definitely became harder to sit down and write. I absolutely love being a mom and the time I am free I've been trying to focus on my husband and friends.
But we just started sleep training and I'm excited to get back here, especially because I have so much to share.
Last month we traveled to NYC with a group of friends and I thought it would be fun to do a "10 things" type of list of all the things I learned in NYC with little baby. Like they say, if you can make it in NYC, you can make it anywhere. This is a specific post for NYC, we have done a few trips by now so I'll be sharing one with all my tips and tricks for general traveling!
So let's get this started:
1) Our stroller is HUGE
I have not even thought of this before this trip, but our stroller is HUGE in comparison to NYC strollers. We would go to parks and our stroller was twice the size of any other out there.
When we came back to Miami, we got the Doona Stroller/Carseat almost instantly since we want to travel a lot with the baby. Official review of the Doona coming soon- so stay tuned.
2) Our friend's help was crucial
I know we would have made it work without our friends but we were so grateful they were there. Not all subway stops have elevators so going up and down the stairs with the HUGE stroller would have been HARD without the help of our friends. If you are traveling alone (or with your husband), make sure to plan ahead and check which subway stops have elevators.
3) NYC's ubers offer car-seats
Just in case you don't feel like taking your car-seat. You can request an Uber with a carseat. That option isn't available in Miami but it is in NYC. I think it costs an extra $5 per ride- but it's very convenient in case of any emergency. I personally prefer the subway but now you know!
4) Changing tables are hard to find
Most NYC restaurants are tiny and they are in the basement with a tiny staircase that leads to it (aka hard to walk down with a baby)...and changing tables were scarce. The good news, Starbucks have changing tables and there are Starbucks in every corner. Instead of running around, I knew that Starbucks would be a good option when we needed to change him.
5) Dressing him in layers was tricky.
What if he is too hot? What if he is too cold?
We live in Miami so the less layers...the better. I tried dressing him in layers that would be easy to take them off when we were indoors or in the subway and then puck back on.
I personally don't know what I would have done with snow, so thankfully we experience semi-cold FALL days (aka delicious days!).
6) Stay Calm
I believe our babies feed of our energy. In NYC or any big city, there will be ambulances, police cars, alarms...these sounds can strike your baby. If you stay calm and act like nothing is happening, I think they won't be scared either. Nico fit right in like a little New Yorker.
7) NYC is very kid-friendly
A lot of people are afraid of traveling to NYC with kids because it is a fast-paced city. But I have to disagree, just like anywhere you can find activities that are kid friendly.
Some examples:
- Central Park (duh!): you can find a zoo, a carrousel, an ice skating rink, playgrounds, and more,
- Head to any museum. Considerations: Children's Museum of Manhattan and the Children's Museum of Arts.
8) The city kept Nico entertained
On the contrary to our trip to California, where we were mostly in a car driving around, Nico was so entertained by everything. The lights, the sounds, the streets, the people...everything was so fun for him. Walk around, have fun...I'm sure your baby will have fun too!
9) You can find anything in NYC
If you forget anything, there's a pharmacy in every single street. We bought all the diapers and wipes there instead of adding so much bulk to our bags. We also ran out of formula and got that there too. So don't worry so much packing, because if you forget anything...you can get it by walking 3 min...or less!
10) The hotels feel smaller with a baby
We stayed at the Freehand and they don't offer cribs so we ended co-sleeping. I know some hotels offer cribs or pack-and-plays, call before making any reservations. But take into consideration that hotels in NYC are tiny and they feel even smaller with a baby and all the things you have to bring
Here I'm wearing:
ZARA camel coat
FOREVER 21 Ramones rocker tee
ZENNIS clear glasses
CLARKS USA black boots
This post is sponsored by Chateau Ste. Michelle
If there is something I LOVE, it is having friends over. I always have. Since I was a little girl and a teenager, my house was always the meeting point. And that never changed. Now that I am a wife and a new-mom, I like to make sure that I’m still making time for my friends (while Nico
is with dad or his grandparents).
Today, I’m super excited to partner with Chateau Ste. Michelle to share some fun tips on how to host a girly night in. Over the years, I’ve tried to improve as a hostess; so let’s talk WINE (of course!), cute PJs, food, games, etc... because staying in with your best friends can be even more fun than going out. The overall thought at the end of this get-together was: why don’t we do this more often!!?
DRINKS
My friends and I absolutely love Rosé. And we just found a new favorite - Chateau Ste. Michelle Columbia Valley Rosé; it’s soft and fresh with aromas of watermelon, raspberry, and flavors of wild strawberry, citrus zest, and hits of lemon.
I knew the Rosé was going to be a hit, but just in case anyone preferred white wine, I had a Chateau Ste. Michelle Columbia Valley Chardonnay ready to go!
FOOD

FOOD
For food, let’s just say this was a mix of things we would have loved as little girls (HELLO DONUTS- make sure to get them in fun colors and different flavors ; and that grown-ups would approve. Say Cheese, little cheese plate with at least two types of cheese and prosciutto! Also a few movie/game essentials: chips + different dips and popcorn! I mean...in my book, ANYTHING goes with ROSÉ!
CUTE PJS
CUTE PJS
I have a thing for theme parties or parties with dress codes. So if I’m hosting something, my friends know and always ask: what do we wear? This time I thought it would be fun to just chill in cute pajamas like we were at a slumber party.
Confession? I don’t own a lot of cute PJs. I headed out to get a cute pajama set as soon as I sent the invite to my friends. I found this two-piece floral set that was SO comfortable and perfect for the occasion- and now I haven’t stopped wearing it. I definitely have to invest in more cute PJs.

GAMES/MOVIES
I love card games and board games. Slowly, I have collected some of the classics and I still have many on my list to eventually purchase. But you don’t need lots of board games- with ONE deck of cards you can play so many games!
Also, the day before I started browsing on the web and adding several chick-flicks to my list. That way we wouldn’t spend too much time searching and they were ready to go.
Here are some of the ones I added: Bring It On, 13 Going on 30, Princess Diaries, and P.S I Love You.
BEAUTY TIME/ DIY MASKS

BEAUTY TIME/ DIY MASKS
It wouldn’t be a girls’ night in without some beauty pampering. My friend Pao wanted to do her nails, and I wanted to do a face mask!
You don’t need to purchase an expensive face mask. There are many easy-to-make face masks with ingredients found in your kitchen.
These 3 are my faves:
- For deep clean pores: 1 teaspoon of oatmeal + 2 teaspoons of yogurt
- For dry skin: 1/2 of very ripe avocado + 2 tablespoons of honey + 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil.
- To hydrate: 1/2 smashed ripe banana + 3 tablespoons of honey +3 tsp of yogurt.
Just mix the ingredients and apply for 15 minutes.
Are you ready for a girl's night in? CHEERS!

Last week, I went to an event with Urban Decay and some of the coolest Latina blogger babes in Miami. The event was held at Basement (at the Miami Edition). Like it's name, this place is in the basement of the hotel and it has the coolest bowling alley and ice skating rink.
I love these types of events; when they are not heavily branded but an experience. I played one round of bowling- well, I sucked at it because of the belly. And yes, I was okay. I grabbed a light ball and I wasn't throwing hard (I promise). Remember that pregnancy isn't an illness but you should always listen to your body.
As far as my outfit. I got this shirtdress at Asos maternity during Black Friday (wow yes, so long ago) - everything was half off and I took advantage of the sale to get cute maternity stuff. This dress is one of those pieces I know I will wear after the baby is here- but just in case, I liked below to some cute options that are not maternity. I think what really elevated the look was the accessories (the white ankle boots are so fun, and the cabby hat).
Hope you like the pics! We had so much fun in this different backdrop! XOXO
¡BESOS! ¡FELIZ ABRIL!
I've been living in the U.S for more than 10 years; and it's really important for me to keep my Venezuelan Holiday traditions alive 🎄🎄
One of the most delicious Holiday dishes in Venezuela is " pan de jamón" (direct translation would be Ham Bread but that name doesn't show how delicious it is)- well it's definitely my favorite.
Since I'm not much of a cook, I invited my friend Gaby from @VoguishDiet to help me out!
So today I'm excited to share one of my traditions. Check out all the images to see more about our cozy look, our comfy but trendy sneakers, and how we did the delicious "pan de jamón" that is such an important part of any Venezuelan Holiday- no matter where we are!
This is my second time wearing this maxi dress as a top...the first one was during Swim Week but I went for leather shorts and a strappy bralette for an edgier feel. Click here to check it out.
I definitely have to wear it as an actual dress next time. But there is something about it that feels a little "old"lady, I think it's the neckline. But I'm sure I'll wear it a coverup for the beach! REMIX coming soon!! Actually, more remixes for 2018 FOR SURE!
This was during our little runaway trip because of the hurricane. We had the best road trip buddies: Alex and Gaby. Best "fashion" part? Because of the small luggage, we got to share clothes. These are Gaby's vintage shorts!
This is one of my favorite looks from later this year. What do you think?
What's better than one Mickey 🐭? 💓💓Two Mickeys 🐭🐭
Like I shared on my last post, we headed to Orlando with a group of friends- and we decided to go to Hollywood Studios today! So much fun!.
About my outfit: I originally was going to wear a romper but Gabe actually brought TWO Mickey shirts so I stole one of his! I love wearing men's shirts, they are definitely more comfortable.
I absolutely love visiting Orlando. There's something so magical about being just a few miles away from all the theme parks. For a while, me and my friends were planning a chill trip together; so when Encort Resort reached out to stay at their luxury homes for four nights, it was an instant YESSS!!. And I have to say, we had the best time!!
Encore's Encore’s luxury homes have accommodations for 10-28 guests (the houses range from 4 bedrooms to 13 bedrooms!). We were a group of 14 in a 8 bedroom house and there was definitely room for more people! It is very family friendly; we had a "Frozen" room (yes, a very girly room with decor from the movie Frozen- my niece would have not leave the room!).
We got there late at night (all of my friends have 9 to 5 jobs- you know #adulting) and the day after we headed to Disney. I'll share another blogpost on that day in Disney but as you can imagine, it was a blast. Encore offers free transportation too and from the parks at certain hours- so convenient!
After a long day in Hollywood Studios, we ran straight to the private pool to relax. If I'm not mistaken, all of the houses have private pools- and some of them have game rooms movie rooms!
The week Hurricane Irma was about to strike, approximately 6 million people from Florida decided to evacuate to safety, to put just what you need in a small bag and go away with the uncertainty of what might happen to everything you left behind...everything you have worked all your life towards. It puts everything into perspective; that none of the materials things really matter. All of these things only weigh us down. I think this uncertainty also gave us a sense of freedom, of going with the flow, of driving without a destination for days. It took us to places we would have never imagined. It reminded us of living in the moment, of focusing in friendships/relationships, laughs, and making memories. Again, thanks for all the sweet messages asking if we are okay🙏🏼💓
DO IT FOR THE GRAM- the original picture is right above this one💓
As you can see, Vicky and I were terrified of the birds- laughing and screaming while Gaby from Voguish Diet was having the time of her life feeding them....but yeah,we got it and you would have never known how much screaming happened hahhaa

We failed trying to recreate a pic from 2008...but this turned out cute right?
_______________________________________________
When you are striking a "sexy" pose as a joke but you totally end up really liking the photo 🤣💓 We all got dolled up for fun by my friend Vicky (Vicky Alvarez!) and I seriously need to learn how to do my eyebrows like how she did them 😭😭
_______________________________________________
BEACH BUNNY SWIMSUIT
This has been one of my favorite Summers ever, I've spent more time by the pool and beach than ever. Reason why I was so excited to partner with Stella Artois to host a BBQ to remember. So today I'm sharing some ways you can make sure your simple-yet-fun-BBQ is unforgettable!
👖👖Our jeans are every abuelita's nightmare 🤣🤣but it's the only way to wear jeans during the summer in Miami🙈 We call this #HisAndHerKlozet and the ventilated jeans!
I don't know why or how but we always end up matching- this means that we have been together for SO LONG! Actually it means that I dressed similar to him, because Gabe, lately, is always wearing dark tees and light jeans!
I got this tee at Nordstrom a few weeks ago and I love it. It's also long enough in case I want to wear it as a cute rock&roll shirt dress!
I wanted to play up the accessory game so I added my favorite red bandana, a fun hat, and the yellow-tinted aviators!
We headed to an event with Dove. Read more on that below!
WHOOP WHOOP! So excited to have another special guest on the blog. My dear friend and fellow blogger: ANDREA ERASO!
You can also check out my first 10 questions, with Gaby from Voguish Diet by clicking here.
Andre and I met a few years ago while I was visiting my family in Venezuela. Not going to lie, we didn't instantly click as friends but I'm so happy we became friends last year ! She is hilarious but also says things as they are- plus I absolutely love her style!
She is currently living in México with her boyfriend (who is part of a super cool band called "Los Mesoneros") and their puppy called Lara (the most adorable puppy with the most gorgeous blue eyes!).
A few weeks ago, we met to go to an event together and we took advantage of this opportunity to take pictures together. We arrived at the event with Valentina and Gaby (yes Gaby was the 1st in this little section, and Valentina should be next). Don't we look so Sex and the City? I asked on IG who do you think each one is? I consider myself a total Miranda.
Let's get started!
1. What do you like the most about blogging? What do you like the least?
I love being able to share my passion for fashion, show my point of view when it comes to trends, and being able to give a personal touch to everything I share.
I don't like when it gets competitive; in the blogging world, there shouldn't be any type of competition. We all have something great to share and we should complement each other instead of feeling superor.
2. Your favorite trend at the moment:
Hmmmmm.
That's actually a good question. I really like the "Yellow glasses" trend, it gives a cool touch to any outfit; also, I'm loving shirts under dresses!
3. Describe your style in 3 words:
Trendy, comfortable and accessible.
3. Tu estilo en 3 palabras:
Trendy, cómodo, y accesible.

| From Left to right: Andrea Eraso, Valentina Tamayo, Daniela Ramirez & Gaby Aleixandre |
4. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I'd love to know that; but I would like to be the owner of a company, not working for anybody, and creating a brand that inspires a lot of people.
5. If you could swap wardrobes with any style or influencer, who would it be?
I've always liked Jessica Alba's style, Carolina Silva (@Caromng), and of course, my friend Nany from Nany's Klozet
6. What's your favorite song by your boyfriend's band "Los Mesoneros"?
There is one I absolutely love and they obviously did it to make women fall in love with them. It is called "Riesgo". I really like "Luna" too.
7. Tell us more about your cute dog, Lara Miranda.
My lovely Lara or how I called her: Chipili is a 4-month old Aussie. It's impressive how fast she learns and how smart she is. Although she is still a little rebel puppy, I laugh a lot with all her naughty moments. She is getting more and more loving each day and I love that.
8. A piece that is and will always be in your closet:
I know it sounds basic but definitely a white T-Shirt is a must in any closet. But if I have to choose a fun piece, I would say a fur jacket!
9. Your favorite designer or favorite store:
I always say that I prefer European stores than American stores. I identify more with the European fashion and the quality is better. I'm talking about affordable brands like Stradivarius, and Zara.
10. An advice to anyone wanting to work in fashion or in social media:
Always, no matter what you do, give it your personal touch. The world needs originality! The world doesn't need to see the same thing over and over again. Show your personality.
Bonus question: What should I ask the next blogger guest?
What's your most valuable item in your closet?
And this is it for TODAY! Can't wait to have another #bloggerBFF talk here!
