HOW TO PROPERLY USE DRY SHAMPOO?

Wednesday, May 28, 2014

Hey girls! How are you?
Today’s topic is “DRY SHAMPOO”. I have mentioned a couple of times that I only wash my hair once a week to keep it as healthy as possible (and yes, because I’m a little lazy).

As you can imagine, the last couple of days before washing my hair, it can sometimes look oily. The solution: DRY SHAMPOO. I have been using TRESemmĂ© Fresh Start Volumizing Dry Shampoo for about a year, and I absolutely love it. The reason why I decided to talk a little more about this awesome product is that it can help you when you don’t have time to wash, blow-dry, and style your hair.

First of all: what is a dry shampoo? Without getting into fancy ingredients, dry shampoo is a hair product that cleans your hair without the use of water. It absorbs oil from your scalp and hair so it looks and feels clean and fresh. Some hairstylists also use it to give the hair volume, texture and body (this is often used as a trick backstage at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week!)

HOW TO PROPERLY USE DRY SHAMPOO?
1. You shouldn’t apply TRESemmĂ© FreshStart Volumizing Dry Shampoo on damp or wet hair…. that’s why it’s called dry shampoo!
2. Part your hair into small sections (around 2 inches) so you apply product uniformly throughout your roots
3. Spray it at least six inches away from the roots. That way, the product is evenly distributed without creating any buildup.
4. Wait around 5 minutes; let the product sit for a while so it absorbs all the extra oil. You can do your makeup in the meantime.
5.   If you applied too much product, don’t be scared: Again, let it sit for a couple of minutes and then use your fingers to massage into your roots
6. Brush your hair.
7 & 8. Style it if you want.

¡Hola chicas!

5. Si aplicaste mucho producto, no te asustes.
6. Peina tu cabello.
7. y 8.  Puedes secarlo, plancharlo, rizarlo como harĂas normalmente.

  1. This is so helpful . . . I've always been a bit curious about dry shampoo. Haha, it could definitely make my life a bit easier when I don't have the time to wash my hair!

If you don't mind, could you give me your professional critique on my blog? I've just started, and I would love any feedback you can give me! xoxo
