Today I'm a little upset...maybe more like disappointed. I always talk about how the blogging community is stronger together...it's never about being #1 (hello, not even Chiara Ferragni says she's the #1 Fashion blogger in the world". If you really are #1, there's no need to state it). We live in a world where almost everything has been done before; if not, someone will do it after you and guess what...they will do it better. I always say that, as a blogger or in any occupation, you must find something that makes you unique. I know that I wasn't the first blogger to show different ways to wear an item or the first to make her boyfriend pretend-model on the blog...but I know that I tried to give it my own twist, just like everyone should do when getting inspiration from someone or somewhere. Again, this is not a competition...and believe me, readers end up realizing when a blogger is not genuine. I've seen blogs get opportunities that maybe I wanted....but I'm happy for them- and besides that, I know that I'm not what every brand or PR is looking for. I've seen bloggers do similar things to what I do...and I don't feel upset, I feel proud because that means I'm doing something right.

Hoy ando un poco molesta...tal vez más decepcionada que molesta. Siempre les he hablo que considero que la comunidad blogger es más fuerte junta, no se trata de ser la mejor ni ser la #1 (Si Chiara Ferragni no ando escribiendo en su bio "Fashion Blogger #1 del mundo...¿por qué hay gente que lo hace por regiones o países? Hoy en día vivimos en un mundo en el que todo se ha hecho, ser el primero en algo es extremadamente difícil- siempre hay alguien que ya lo hizo, lo está haciendo, o lo va a hacer mejor que tu. Siempre les digo que busquen algo que las hace diferente a todos los blogs que ya existen. Yo se que yo no fui la primera en mostrarle mil formas de usar una prenda, ni la primera que puso a su novio a "modelar"....pero lo hice dándole mi toque original y propio, al igual que cualquier blogger debería hacer al tomar una idea o inspirarse en alguien. Pero esto no es una competencia, creo que los seguidores eventualmente se dan cuenta que tan genuina es una blogger. Alégrate por las oportunidades de otros bloggers, una no siempre es lo que cierta marca/PR está buscando y está perfectamente bien. Alégrate si le diste inspiración a otra blogger; siéntete orgullosa en vez de ofendida.
