Hey everyone! Right now we are on a cruise (check out our Instagram accoutns @nanyskozet & @gabrielsanchezpr in case you want to see what we are up to right now). Gabo wore this look before going to Venezuela last week. He originally wanted to wear 3 pieces of blue denim; but I feel like the only way to make it work is if the three pieces are completely different blues. Reason why I suggested a red jean instead...and I really like the final result: modern, comfortable, and it still looks dressy. Hope you are having a great Holiday with your loved ones! XOXO

¡Hola a todas! Les estamos escribiendo desde el crucero (nos pueden seguir en Instagram @nanysklozet y @Gabrielsanchezpr, por si no pueden esperar a que suba todo al blog). Este look lo utilizó Gaby antes de viajar a Venezuela. El originalmente quería utilizar 3 piezas de blue jean; pero siento que los 3 colores tienen que ser totalmente diferentes, sino se ve muy matchy matchy. Yo le sugerí que cambiase los blue jeans por unos jeans de algún color, como estos rojos. Sigue utilizando la misma textura en todo el look, pero se ve moderno, cómodo, y arregladito. ¡Espero que estén disfrutando estas Navidad con sus seres queridos! Mil abrazos!!

Today I'm a little upset...maybe more like disappointed. I always talk about how the blogging community is stronger together...it's never about being #1 (hello, not even Chiara Ferragni says she's the #1 Fashion blogger in the world". If you really are #1, there's no need to state it). We live in a world where almost everything has been done before; if not, someone will do it after you and guess what...they will do it better. I always say that, as a blogger or in any occupation, you must find something that makes you unique. I know that I wasn't the first blogger to show different ways to wear an item or the first to make her boyfriend pretend-model on the blog...but I know that I tried to give it my own twist, just like everyone should do when getting inspiration from someone or somewhere. Again, this is not a competition...and believe me, readers end up realizing when a blogger is not genuine. I've seen blogs get opportunities that maybe I wanted....but I'm happy for them- and besides that, I know that I'm not what every brand or PR is looking for. I've seen bloggers do similar things to what I do...and I don't feel upset, I feel proud because that means I'm doing something right.

Hoy ando un poco molesta...tal vez más decepcionada que molesta. Siempre les he hablo que considero que la comunidad blogger es más fuerte junta, no se trata de ser la mejor ni ser la #1 (Si Chiara Ferragni no ando escribiendo en su bio "Fashion Blogger #1 del mundo...¿por qué hay gente que lo hace por regiones o países? Hoy en día vivimos en un mundo en el que todo se ha hecho, ser el primero en algo es extremadamente difícil- siempre hay alguien que ya lo hizo, lo está haciendo, o lo va a hacer mejor que tu. Siempre les digo que busquen algo que las hace diferente a todos los blogs que ya existen. Yo se que yo no fui la primera en mostrarle mil formas de usar una prenda, ni la primera que puso a su novio a "modelar"....pero lo hice dándole mi toque original y propio, al igual que cualquier blogger debería hacer al tomar una idea o inspirarse en alguien. Pero esto no es una competencia, creo que los seguidores eventualmente se dan cuenta que tan genuina es una blogger. Alégrate por las oportunidades de otros bloggers, una no siempre es lo que cierta marca/PR está buscando y está perfectamente bien. Alégrate si le diste inspiración a otra blogger; siéntete orgullosa en vez de ofendida.

Here's another look from #hisklozet- I'm really trying to do this every Sunday. Gabo finally found a black and white plaid shirt at Target. We regularly go to Target mostly for groceries but they really have great clothing at great prices. He paired it with all b&w pieces and finally he added some wooden sunglasses from Woodze.

By the way, Gabo is doing the whole "movember" thing of not shaving during the whole month of November to create cancer awareness in men. Remember to share the importance of the yearly exam to the men in our life!

Hoy les traigo otro look de #hisklozet como todos los sábados. Gabo tenía tiempo buscando una camisa de cuadritos blanco/negra y la encontró en Target. Nosotros siempre vamos a Target especialmente para  comprar todo lo que es supermercado, pero de verdad que tienen excelente ropa a excelente precio.  Este look lo combinó con piezas blanco y negra igual.. y finalmente agregó estos lentes de sol de Woodze, que son de madera.

Por cierto Gabo anda haciendo el reto de Movember- lo de no afeitarse por todo el mes de Noviembre para crear conciencia sobre el cáncer de próstata. Así que ya saben, hay que recordarle a los hombres de nuestras vida la importancia del examen médico.

Since I got a sporty jersey from Furor Moda; Gabo wanted a similar one for guys...actually, he has been trying to convince Tati to start Furor Men...**crossing fingers*. Walking around Lincoln Road, he found this one in H&M... and now he doesn't stop wearing. It's comfortable and easy to wear with dark jeans and shoes. If you remember the background, we took my outfit pictures there too. I wish we had done the "his and hers"; but we didn't have the tripod with us.  I hope you are having a fantastic weekend. I went to Ikea to give my little office a makeover...and now I want to change everything. When I moved Downtown, I wanted to keep the apartment minimalistic...but now I want to make it modernly cozy (if that term makes sense!).

Desde que tengo la camisa deportiva de Furor Moda; Gabo se antojó de una similar para hombre....bueno hemos intentado convencer a Tati que saque una línea completa para hombre en Furor. Paseando por H&M, encontró está.. y ahora no se la quita. Es cómoda y fácil de combinar con unos jeans oscuros y unos converse. Si reconocen el fondo, estas fotos las tomamos el mismo día; debimos haber aprovechado hacer un "His and Hers" pero no teníamos el trípode. Tal vez hagamos otras y as´termino un remix con la camisa deportiva. ¡¡Espero que esten disfrutan su fin de semana!! Yo ando dándole un pequeño makeover a mi oficina; me dió por querer terminar de poner bonita mi casa. Antes la quería como super minimalista, y ahora la quiero más acogedora... vamos a ver como queda.

We are almost in mid-November; and Miami's fall feels as far as possible- at least it's not that humid so we can pretend to wear some layers. Even though I complain a lot about Miami's tropical weather, I know some of you would love to still enjoy short-appropriate weather. This time I'm wearing a top, shorts, and shoes from Shop Exhale. This  company is based in Miami; they don't only have the coolest washed out shorts but they also put studs on converse shoes..I think it's the perfect touch to give an edge to a classic shoe. This look is perfect for a chill -summer- weekend with friends or family! XOXO

Estamos a mediados de noviembre y el otoño se siente lejos- al menos ya no está extremadamente húmedo. Por mucho de que me gustaría poder experimentar con capas...me encanta poder utilizar shorts todo el año. Esta vez estoy utilizando shorts, zapatos y camisa de Shop Exhale- una compañía en Miami que aparte de tener shorts y camisas super cool, ¡¡le ponen tachuelas a los converse!! Las tachuelas definitivamente le dan un toque especial a un zapato tan clásico pero cómodo. Este look es perfecto para un fin de semana relajado, cómodo, y cálido.

MY LOOK: Mr GUGU & Miss Go sweater, FUROR MODA skirt, TOPSHOP socks, SOLE SOCIETY shoes, REBECCA MINKOFF bag, H&M beanie, OK1984 necklace, and VAHIFE bracelet. HIS LOOK:  Mr GUGU & Miss GO sweater,  LEVIS jeans, OAKLEY sunglasses, LOUIS VUITTON belt,  CONVERSE shoes, H&M beanie.

I've gotten several request for more "his and her klozet"- and we actually enjoy doing them a lot (even if we have to use a tripod for the pics together). This time the look isn't identical, but it's extremely similar. We are both wearing the same style of sweater, black bottoms, black shoes, and black beanies. Both sweaters are from "Mr GUGU & Miss Go ; a cool company with the coolest graphic clothes (they have prints from french fries to galaxies). The best part is that I tried on Gab's sweater and I'm definitely wearing it soon. I hope you like the pics and let me know if you want to see more of hits! XOXO

Me han pedido que regreso con la sección de "His and Her Klozet"- y de verdad que nos divierte muchísimo así tengamos que usar el trípode para las fotos juntos. En esta ocasión el look no es tan idéntico como ha sido en ocasiones previas; pero obviamente pueden ver lo similar. Tenemos el mismo tipo de suéter, parte de abajo negra, zapatos negros, y sombreritos negros. Ambos suéteres son de "Mr GUGU & Miss Go"; una compañia con ropa con gráficos super originales (desde papitas fritas y hamburguesas hasta galaxias). Lo mejor de todo es que me probé el de Gabo,  y me queda perfecto...¡tal vez me lo ponga pronto! Espero que les haya gustado y me cuentan si quieren ver más así. ¡Un abrazo!

And here's another "his klozet". Like I said on the previous post, I'm back in Miami. I surprised Gabo by arriving a day early than he expected. I posted an extremely corny video on my personal instagram @danidaniramirez (you can follow me there for non-fashion related pics). This look is great to go to school, or for casual guys. The jean color can be considered a little risky...but I think the neutral colors (gray, black, and white) really help balance it out. Y aquí va otro look de la sección "su klozet". Les cuento que ya estoy en Miami , llegué el jueves al mediodía de sorpresa. Mi amiga Tati me fue a buscar al aeropuerto y sorprendí a Gaby en el trabajo (pueden ver el video en mi instagram personal @danidaniramirez- les advierto que es un poco cursi). Este look es perfecto para ir a la universidad, o durante un fin de semana relajado. Este color de jean puede considerarse "arriesgado" para los hombres...pero la forma más sencilla de equilibrar el look es combinándolo con colores neutros como gris, blanco, y negro. You can call this my "traveling uniform"- reason why I decided to turn this post into one filled with recommendations on what to wear when traveling!

• I start with leggings because I feel like they are the most comfortable bottoms- and since they are high-waisted, I don't have to worry about anything falling while running around.
• Even though it might be hot at the destination, I always carry a jacket/sweater with me. I think that airports and planes are freezing most of the times. Also, I try to take a jacket that goes with a lot of things in my bag, that way I'm saving space in the bag by wearing it.
• The comfier the shoes, the better- I always travel with these converses because they don't have any laces and they are easy to take on and off. I also like to wear socks (or take them in my purse) because I feel like the security part in the airports smells like bowling places (you know what I mean!!).
• I don't wear any accessories- that way you go through security super fast.
• Finally, I like carrying a bag with different compartments- that way my passport, makeup, wallet, etc don't get mixed.

Este se puede decir que es mi uniforme al viajar- así que quise convertir este post en uno lleno de recomendaciones sobre que usar al viajar.

•  Yo opto por los leggings porque me parecen mucho más cómodos que los jeans. También al ser a la cintura, no me preocupo si se me estan cayendo los pantalones (que me pasa muchísimo!).
• Aunque el destino sea un lugar tropical, siempre llevo una chaqueta o suéter a la mano. Me parece que siempre hace bastante frío en el aeropuerto o en el avión. Asegúrate que la pieza que lleves combine con muchas cosas de tu maleta, así estás ahorrando espacio en la misma.
• Me gusta llevar zapatos cómodos y que sean fáciles de poner y quitar- especialmente para pasar más rápido por la seguridad. También intento llevar medias, no me gusta quedarme descalza en la parte de seguridad (aparte que huele como a bowling, si saben a lo que me refiero!).
• Llevo la menor cantidad de accesorios, así es más fácil pasar por seguridad y estoy más cómoda.
• Finalmente, me gusta llevar una cartera con bastantes compartimientos- así pongo el pasaporte separado de las miles de cosas que llevamos al viajar.
