When I was in Venezuela last month, I had the opportunity to meet and spend time with a couple of amazing venezuelan fashion bloggers- including the sweet Mannolly from Mannolly's Rack. After spending a whole day with her, she invited me to be part of a section portion in her blog called "Tres minutes with...". I love the concept of this video series; she interviews the guest, then she goes through their closet, and she picks an outfit. As soon as Mannolly saw this matchy matchy set of blazer and shorts, she told me we needed to do an outfit with it. We paired it with a burgundy blouse and some classy nude pumps. I loved this outfit so much that I couldn't wait to wear it in Miami. I added a classy black bag and I felt that Mannolly would have chosen it too haha.

Cuando estuve en Venezuela el mes pasado, tuve la oportunidad de conocer y compartir con muchas fashion bloggers venezolanas- incluyendo a Mannolly de Mannolly's Rack. Después de pasar una tarde  lindísima comiendo y chismeando, me invitó a ser parte de una sección en su blog llamada "Tres minutos con..."... y yo acepté sin dudarlo ni un segundo. El concepto es muy chevere, Mannolly entrevista al invitado haciendo preguntas de moda; luego revisa el closet y escoge un look para el invitado.  Apenas Mannolly vió este conjunto, lo quiso usar para mi look- lo combinamos con una blusa vino tinta y zapatos nude. El look me encantó tanto que quise usarlo en Miami ; agregué este cartera y sentí que esa es la que hubiese escogido Mannolly para finalizar el look.

I can't believe how fast the time is going by,  it feels like the Fashion For A Cause shoot we did last year was just a month away. This year the photoshoot, with the same great photographer Alexander Tamargo from AltaImages, was even bigger- more than 30 Miami fashion bloggers supported this important cause. I just want to remind you how important it is to "touch yourself"; don't be afraid , it's the best way to catch this illness in its early stages. This year's tee is from Peace Love World, and the proceeds from its sale goes to finding the cure. There will also be a cool display with all the pictures in Bloomingdales Aventura and The Falls Shopping Center.

EVENT: "BLOOMIES AND BLOGGERS x Fashion For a Cause"

When? October 17th, 2013 from 6-9pm

Where? Blomingdales Aventura.

Bloggers will be hitting the catwalk to support "Breast Cancer Awareness" wearing Peace Love World and the latest fall collections at Bloomingdales. There will be a styling station by Blo, cupcakes by Bunniecakes, and sips by Societe Perrier.

No puedo creer lo rápido que pasa el tiempo, me parece que fue ayer que las bloggeras de Miami tomamos las fotos de "Fashion For a Cause" del año pasado. Este año la sesión de fotos fue con el mismo fotógrafo, Alexander Tamargo de @AltaImages- y cada vez somos más, este año más de 30 bloggeras de moda nos reunimos para apoyar esta causa tan importante.  Me parece importantísimo crear conciencia y recordarles la importancia de autoexaminarse. La camisa de este año es Peace Love World, y parte de los fondos recaudados van para encontrar la cura de esta terrible enfermedad. Este año, van a poder ver las fotos en el Bloomingdales de Aventura Mall y "the Falls Shopping Center" hasta el final del mes.

  En este evento, gran parte de las bloggers que participaron van a estar modelando en una pasarela junto a Peace Love World y las últimas colecciones de esta tienda por departmento. Aparte va a haber un estación para arreglarse el cabello gracias a Blo, ponquecitos de BunnieCakes, y bebidas Societe Perrier.

I have been trying to turn Saturdays into #hisklozet 's official day (so now we have Wednesday Remix and HisKlozet Saturdays). Gabo had been looking for a pair of boots to wear with his pants since forever- thankfully the weather in Miami is a little better by now (well, thankfully we are indoors with A.C most of the time). Last week we went to the mall twice because of the event with Baker and the collab with Loft; so we stopped by Aldo. There, he finally found the boots he wanted...and at a reasonable price.  It's crazy how men don't have that many affordable options when it comes to shoes...we, women. are lucky! The shirt Gabo is wearing came in a goodie bag from Swim Week...every time he wears it, someone compliments him- so he decided to feature it on the blog haha. Hope you are having an amazing weekend...it feels like a Monday for me, I had classes all day. Yeah, I started a Masters degree...but I'll tell you more about later! XOXO

Y poco a poco los sábados se ha convertido en el día de #HISKLOZET. Gabo llevaba tiempo buscando unas botas para usar sus pantalones- y menos mal que la temperatura ha mejorado un poco en Miami. La semana pasada estuvimos en el centro comercial tanto por el evento de Baker como por la colaboración con Loft, y pasamos por Aldo. Ahí finalmente encontró unas botas como las que estaba buscando y a un precio relativamente económico para ser botas de hombre. Definitivamente las mujeres tenemos mucha suerte en cuanto a los zapatos, hay muchísima variedad de tiendas con zapatos económicos. La camisa que está usando Gabo me la dieron en una bolsita de  regalo durante una pasarela en la Semana de la Moda de Miami- pero cada vez que se la ponía, todo el mundo le decía algo de la camisa. Espero que estén disfrutando su fin de semana- para mi hoy fue un lunes, porque tuve mi primera clase de postgrado (siii empecé un postgrado, ya les contaré más)..

As soon as I saw this skirt at ASOS.com, I was in love- I absolutely love mermaid gowns, so it's perfect to have a skirt with a similar silhouette that I can wear on my everyday. However, this skirt can also look very very dressy- reason why I paired it with a simple gray tee with a fun message. As you might know by know, I love adding statement necklaces to tees and this one from Jewel Be Mine was perfect since it had blue and pink tones. I wore this a couple of days ago to have dinner with Gabo. I hope you liked it and I wish you an amazing weekend!! XOXO

Apenas ví esta falda en la página de ASOS, me enamoré- toda la vida me han encantado las colas de sirena y esta versión en mini falda  es perfecta para el día a día. Como es una falda que puede verse bastante formal dependiendo de como la combine, quise agregar una camiseta sencilla gris. Como se han dado cuenta en ocasiones anteriores, me gusta agregar collares llamativos a las camisetas; y este JEWEL BE MINE  me gustó para el look porque tenía tonos azules y rosados como la cartera. Esto lo utilicé para ir a cenar con Gabo hace unos días. ¡Espero que les haya gustado! ¡Y les deseo un fin de semana espectacular!!

I wasn't sure if I should publish this remix...well, because I'm sure you all know how versatile a simple white tee is. However, any piece that makes it to the blog at least 5 times deserves a little article on Wednesdays. People always ask me about the 10 pieces you need to have in your closet; and this one is definitely it. You can wear it with jeans, shorts, mini skirts, maxi skirts... to the beach, to a date, to a business meeting. That's why you must invest in a high-quality tee- that's the only way it's going to last (well, unless you want to get them frequently at a lower price). Do you have a simple white tee? How do you wear it?

No estaba segura si hacer este remix porque estoy segura que saben lo versátil que es una camisa blanca sencilla. Pero creo que cualquier pieza que ha salido 5 veces en el blog, se merece un espacito en los miércoles de remix. La gente me pregunta mucho sobre las 10 piezas que considero que una mujer debe tener en el closet... y la camisa blanca es definitivamente una de ellos es esa pieza que va con absolutamente TODO. Puedes usarla con shorts, faldas largas, faldas cortas, pantalones, jeans, etc etc- para la playa, para cenar o para reuniones de trabajo. Razón por la cual es mejor invertir en una de buena calidad que aguante todas las lavadas y todo ese uso que le vamos a dar. ¿Tienes tu camisita blanca? ¿Cómo la usas?

There's always something inspiring about Wynwood with its graffities and colors- but the best part is that it's always perfect to take pics there. I got this floral short from Iconica right before leaving Venezuela. I loved it so much that I wore it that night with a long-sleeve crop top and heels. I tried recreating this look in Miami but it's still too hot for anything long sleeve...so I switched it to my favorite crop top and some comfy flats for a long day of walking. I hope you are having a fantastic week- I just started my masters degree and I had no idea I would have this amount of work in just a day. Sending you a BIG BIG BIG hug!!

Hay algo de Wynwood que siempre me inspira entre sus graffitis y colores-pero lo mejor de todo es que siempre esta vacío para tomar fotos. Este short me llegó de Iconica a Caracas justo antes de regresarme a Miami. Me gustó tanto que no pude esperar para usarlo, me lo puse la última noche en Caracas con un crop top manga larga y unos tacones. Quise recrear el mismo look al llegar a Miami pero sigue haciendo demasiado calor, por eso cambié el crop top manga larga a mi favorito cortito. Y como iba a estar caminando, flats en vez de tacones. Espero que estén pasando un bonito día...yo comencé un postgrado y no tienen idea la cantidad de trabajos que tengo que hacer. ¡¡Un abrazo inmenso!!!
