I love wearing dresses, specially in this heat. I felt in love with this dress from Forever 21 because of the pleats on the skirt and sleeves. Also, I like that depending on what you pair it with, the stripes look different; they can look navy or black. I added the navy blazer (see last pic) but it was so hot outside that I had to take it off. I finished the look with brown accessories. About my day: I went out to eat venezuelan food- I had a terrible craving of pabellón. Then, my bf's car had a little problem so he went to get it fixed at the dealer, which was super close to my friend's house (Tati from Gold Pleated Dreams) ; we definitely needed to catch up. Also, I bought the cutest little vintage dress (from Furor Moda) - the one you saw on my April's wishlist.
Me encanta usar vestidos, especialmente en este calor. Me encantó este vestido por las rayas y los pliegues que tiene en la falda y en las mangas. Otro detalle que me gusta es que dependiendo con que lo combines, las rayas se ven negras o azules. Le agregué el blazer que ven en la última foto pero hacÃa tanto calor que nada más lo pude tener puesto un ratito.Lo combiné con accesorios de color marrón oscuro. Sobre mi dÃa: fui a comer a un restaurante venezolano- estaba antojadÃsima de un pabellón. Luego mi novio tuvo un problema con el carro y como el taller quedaba al lado de la casa de Tati de Gold Pleated Dreams, le pedà que me dejara allÃ. Estuve con ella un rato chismeando y actualizándonos. Le compré un vestidito vintage espectacular que les mostré en la página de Facebook (Furor moda).
I don't know why but I love knowing the characters of a movie before watching in. Reason why I read all the Twilight books before heading to the theater. And when I found out that there was going to be a SATC movie, I watched the whole show (yeah! the seven seasons). I loved it, I loved how Carrie wouldn't care what people think about the way she dressed- or her slightly freaky obsession with shoes. I think this outfit is very Carrie for a couple of reasons: first, I'm wearing the exact same Adriana Castro bag she was wearing on the second movie (I won it thanks to a giveaway from Purseblog); and the studded belt she wore A LOT in the first movie- I like that it makes the most feminine outfit look a little edgier.
Yo soy del tipo de persona que me encanta saber todos los detalles de la pelÃcula que estoy viendo. Por ejemplo, leà todos los libros de Twilight o Crepúsculo antes de ver las pelÃculas. Y cuando me enteré que iban a sacar una pelÃcula de Sex and The City, me aventuré a ver las 7 temporadas- no las habÃa visto antes porque tenÃa como 8 años cuando la pasaban en la televisión. Volviendo al punto, me encanta que Carrie tomaba riesgos con respecto a la moda y no le importaba lo que la gente pensara de sus outfits o de su obsesión con los zapatos. Este outfit fue inspirado en ella por dos razones: la primera, esta cartera de Adriana Castro la usó SJP en la pelÃcula (LA MISMA!, me la gané en un sorteo en Purseblog). Segundo: el cinturón- me encanta que le da un toque edgy al outfit más femenino.

Like I said on the previous post, I really want to share some of my favorite outfits. I've been dying to wear this again, I think it looks super feminine and cute! I found this bag at a thrift store called "Douglas Thrift Store" at North Miami Beach- it's vintage but it's in perfect condition. I remember that day we had dinner with a couple of friends at my house, we cooked sushi- well.. the guys cooked it while we gossiped .
Como les dije en el post anterior, quiero compartir con ustedes algunos outfits "viejos"- sobre todo mis favoritos. He querido ponerme esto otra vez, me encanta que se ve super femenino. Don't you have a party dress that you loved and would like to wear more often? I bought this dress a couple of years ago- and I haven't worn it since Christmas of 2008. Reason why I challenged my self to transform it into a daytime dress- or at least I tried. What do you think? I also love how the black looks with tan.

Este vestido lo compré hace 2 años y medio- y no me lo habÃa puesto desde Navidad del 2008 poque sentÃa que no habÃa ninguna ocasión apropiada. Razón por la que me reté a mi misma a transformarlo en un vestido de dÃa- o al menos eso intenté. ¿Qué dicen? ¿lo logré? También me encanta la combinación del negro con el "tan".
I've been taking pictures of my daily outfits for almost a year now; it wasn't until last month that I decided I wanted to open a blog in English too. I have so many pics in my computer with outfits that I love that I want to share them with you. I lived in NYC last year for a couple of months, I got a job offer there but the cold kicked me out- among other things! The best part of taking pics every day is that when you see it, you remember exactly what you did.
He estado tomando fotos de mis outfits diarios por casi un año; no fue hasta hace un mes que decidà que querÃa expandirme y escribir en ingles también. Tengo tantas fotos en mi foto de outfits que me encantan que de verdad quiero compartirlos con ustedes- y espero que les gusten. El año pasado vivà en Nueva York por un par de meses, me ofrecieron trabajo allá pero el frÃo me botó- entre otras cosas. Another extremely hot day in Miami; reason why I wanted to wear a light shirt and super short shorts. I've seen a lot of celebrities wearing a knotted shirt, and I think it makes the outfit look more casual and relaxed than if it was tucked in. I paired it with these new oxford shoes and my little quilted bag from Mimi Boutique. About my day, I had breakfast with Catherine from Beauty by Cat. Later, my bf and I headed to the pool- I tanned and read a magazine while he swam. Finally, we watched a movie at home!
Otro dÃa super caliente en Miami, asà que opté por shorts y una camisa delgada amarrada. He visto a muchas celebridades usando esta tendencia y me gusta el aire relajado que le da a cualquier look. Lo combiné con estos oxfords que compré hace poco y mi carterita de Mimi Boutique. El dÃa empezó yendo a comer con Catherine de Beauty by Cat; comimos arepas. Luego el calor nos llevó a mi novio y a mi a la piscina de la urbanización. Tomamos sol y yo estuve leyendo una revista. Después de eso, vimos una pelÃcula en la casa y listo.. muy dominguero el dÃa.
I woke up super tired because of the bday party the day before; nobody wanted to leave and it was extremely late. Reason why I just wanted to be comfortable to have lunch and do some errands. I wanted to wear this lace tee- AGAIN; I would wear it more often if I could. When I was ready, I checked my mail and some accessories from Pop of Chic have arrived. I didn't even think it twice, I changed my accessories because I couldn't wait to wear them. I really recommend you Pop of Chic, they have amazing stuff at amazing prices! Me desperté cansadÃsima de la fiesta el dÃa anterior en mi casa; era tardÃsimo y nadie se querÃa ir. Razón por la que querÃa estar cómoda para ir a comer y hacer un par de diligencias. He estado usando tanto esta camisa de encaje, me encanta; si fuera por mi creo que me la pondrÃa más seguido aún. Cuando ya estaba lista, fui a revisar el correo y me habÃan llegado estos zarcillos/aretes y anillo de Pop of Chic; y me los puse de inmediato! Son una belleza, de verdad que les recomiendo que pasen por Pop Of Chic y chequeen todo lo que Cynthia vende, aparte de que todos los precios son accesibles. Tampoco me he querido cambiar la carterita por comodidad, aparte que ultimamente no me gusta llevar una cartera tan grande- prefiero tener solo lo necesario a la mano.
