I love the idea of adding a bit of Holiday sparkle throughout the season- and beyond, because who said sequins are only for the Holidays?
This Holiday season I wanted to add a sequin midi skirt to my wardrobe. Yes, it is a statement piece BUT it is also extremely versatile - and I’m ALL about versatility. I have a feeling that this skirt will come handy year after year. This one is from Halogen, from Nordstrom- it also comes in blue, gold, and black sequins. I actually was super indecisive - especially because the blue one is GORGEOUS.
Since I like mixing dressier items with casual items. I decided to pair the sequin skirt with a gray crop-top sweater from Topshop. It really balances the sparkle of the skirt, it makes the look more comfortable, AND it is still super cute and dressy for any HOLIDAY PARTY.
Then walking around Nordstrom, I saw this gorgeous pink feathered bag and I knew it had to be mine. I’ve worn it twice already and I’ve gotten so many compliments on it. It’s the perfect size to fit exactly what you need, and it works from day to night. I wore it with jeans and it was definitely the perfect touch to a casual look too.

I was looking for a few things for my cousins and sisters in law. And again, I got distracted with these earrings and headband- they are such perfect gifts I ended up getting them from me lol- don’t blame me! The headband is BaubleBar I love it in black but with my dark hair, the pink one popped better! And these star earrings are EVERYTHING AND MORE!

In Miami, we wish for Fall temperatures basically all year. We aren't so lucky though, so we have to fake it a little bit (and fortunately, everyone fakes it at home too with a 60 degree A/C!).

En Miami, soñamos que lleguen las temperaturas otoñales todo el año. No tenemos mucha suerte en ese departamento, asà que nos toca conformarnos con bajar el aire condicionado!!
Hoy les dejo dos looks con estas botazas espectaculares de Steve Madden que conseguà en Zappos. El look del vestido negro con la chaqueta de jean es más para Miami pero también querÃa darle una idea a las que me siguen en ciudades donde ya está empezando el frÃo.
El estampado de culebra es un clásico junto al estampado de leopardo- tanto asà que pueden considerarse neutrales y van con todo. Me gusta mucho como se ve con texturas como la mezclilla y el cuero. También es impresionante como me hacen cumplidos en la calle cuando las uso.
Steve Madden ha sido de mis tiendas favoritas de zapatos desde que me mudé a Estados Unidos- y ahora me encanta que puedo conseguir los últimos modelos en Zappos- que se ha convertido en mi página favorita especialmente para los zapatos porque el envÃo en gratis, rápido, y se pueden devolver sin ningún problema.

Last week I spent the weekend in Vegas with Zappos for a fun music festival called Life is Beautiful.
We took an early flight on Friday, we picked up our tickets, changed and ran to the festival. The first day I was wearing a flow burgundy dress, with a double buckle belt, and my nude Dolce Vita booties. These Dolce Vita booties go with absolutely anything- they are very comfortable so I also wore them on the plane with jeans and then with all my fun festival outfits.

El fin de semana pasado estuvimos en Las Vegas junto a Zappos para un festival de música llamado Life is Beautiful.
Volamos en un vuelo tempranito el viernes para aprovechare el dÃa lo más posible. El primer dÃa usé un vestido suelto con una correa con dos hebillas y mis botines favoritos de Dolce Vita. Estas botitas van con todo, son cómodas...pude haber llevado solo este par y no hubiese necesitado más nada!

By the end of the month, I'm going with Zappos to Las Vegas for Life Is Beautiful Festival so I ordered some festival-focused items: hello perfect nude Dolce Vita booties, and that burgundy bag! I was saving them for the festival but the shipping was so fast and the items were so cute I had to wear them as soon as I opened the box....but I already have some ideas to revamp this dress and wear it again in Las Vegas.
You all know I love dressing bohemian (it's one of my fashion alter egos), so as soon as I hear festival my style goes into boho chic mode.
Here are my fashion essentials for festivals:
- Flowy dresses with earthy colors.
- Wide Brim Hats
- Round sunglasses
- Fringe in at least one item.
- Comfortable booties where you can dance all day.

Estoy super emocionada de contarles que voy a estar colaborando con Zappos con una "style icon" por varias semanas.
De la nada Zappos se ha convertido en mis páginas favoritas porque siento que lo puedo encontrar TODO en una página: zapatos, carteras, accesorios, todas las marcas, distintos presupuestos.
A finales de este mes voy a estar en Las Vegas junto a Zappos para ir a un festival que se llama Life Is Beautiful...asà que mi mente entró en modo bohemio y ordené varias piezas que gritan festival (¡Hola hola flecos y botines de Dolce Vita!). Les confieso que lo pedà para usarlo en el festival pero el shipping es tan rápido que no me aguanté y los tuve que usar antes de tiempo. Pero ya tengo varias ideas para darle otro toque a este vestido y reusarlo sin que se den cuenta en las Vegas.
Algunos de mis esenciales para festivales:
- Vestidos vaporosos en colores neutrales.
- Sombreros de ala ancha.
- Lentes de sol redondos.
- Flecos en alguna pieza.
- Botines cómodos con los que pueda bailar todo el dÃa.

I'm more of a rompers than jumpsuits type of gal; I blame it on my shortness…they are always so long on me (I think I really need to learn how to hem properly!). I absolutely fell in love in love with this one…so I put my highest heels on, and it worked ((plus I'm not complaining…my legs look extra long haha)). I wore this on Friday to go out with a couple of friends; Gaby's bff and best man was in town from Boston so we took him out to one of our favorite sushi places. I live right by where the Ultra craziness happens…and while people were wearing tiny little neon outfits, I had something on that belonged more in Coachella than in Ultra. Siempre he sido más de rompers que de jumpsuits…supongo que puedo culpar a mi pequeñita estatura por esto. Las bragas largas siempre me quedan larguÃsimas (y soy muy floja, tengo que aprender que agarrarle ruedo a las cosas!). Este me encanto…el estampado es hermoso para primavera pero los colores hacen que lo puedas utilizar todo el año. Como era de esperarse, me quedaba larguÃsimo…me puse mis tacones más altos con la esperanza de que me quedara bien! Lo mejor fue que los mega tacones y lo largo del jumpsuit, hacen que las piernas se me vean mucho más larga de lo que son. Esto lo utilicé el viernes para ir a comer con unos amigos; el mejor amigo de Gabo, que vive en Boston, estaba visitándonos..asà que ese dÃa lo llevamos a nuestro restaurante de sushi favorito. Les cuento que saliendo de la casa (y tomando las fotos), la gente se me quedaba mirando porque este fin era el festival de música electrónica Ultra. Mientras todo el mundo usaba looks nenes y locos…yo andaba como si fuese a Coachellla jajaj. Les deseo una semana espectacular! L@S adoro!

To make the skirt even pop more, I paired it with a cropped top with a lace detail on the neck (btw, both pieces are on sale on Beginning Boutique). I feel like neon pieces can look....tacky ...if you don't wear them correctly- reason why I tried to make this look as glam as possible. I didn't use any accessories at all, I feel like adding a any ring/bracelet would be too much. I've also been wearing my hair up in a bun for the past couple of days, it makes everything so much easier when you hair is acting up! This look is perfect for a fancy date or for fun parties with your friends! I hope you liked it! XOXO ____________ No tienen idea lo neón que es esta falda- si creÃa que tenÃa algo neón, al compararlo con esta falda parecÃa pastel. Para hacerla resaltar aún más, la combiné con un top cortito negro con un detalle de encaje en el cuello (por cierto, tanto la falda como el top están en descuento en Beginning Boutique). Considero que las piezas muy llamativas pueden verse...niches/cafres/nacas (inserte adjetivo de acuerdo a su paÃs) sino se hacen correctamente- por eso quise, para la ocasión, convertir este look lo más glam posible. Los últimos dÃas he estado usando mucho mi moño alto, me sacan de cualquier apuro cuando mi cabello está incontrolable. Tampoco quise usar muchos accesorios porque el detalle del encaje + el color de la falda hacen que ya sea un look relativamente cargado. Este look funciona para una cita en un restaurante bonito, reuniones formalitas y más. ¡Espero que les haya gustado!    |
