Disney after BLOGHER!

Friday, June 30, 2017

I know I know! It feels like I was just in Orlando but yes, I went back again for BlogHER.

BlogHer is the biggest woman conference in the U.S- with a focus on lifestyle and mom blogging. It was so inspiring to hear their stories. I also saw panels with Serena Williams and Laurie Hernandez (wow!).

I went with a group of 8 girls, and we all stayed in a house (very reality tv of us). But it was so much fun! We cooked, drank wine by the pool, went shopping...and of course, we headed to DISNEY on our last day there.

Our first stop was Animal Kingdom. I have not been there since 1999 when it opened and I was excited to see all the new attractions, especially Avatar. Which by the way, it is INCREDIBLE! I have not seen a 3D simulator like that, you have to go!

Then we headed for Magic Kingdom for the classic pictures by the castle and to see the fireworks! But it started pouring and I was exhausted! But here are some pictures of the day! Hope you like them...what do you think of my Mickey overload?

Summer outfit formula: light dress + wedges

Thursday, May 19, 2016

The fool-proof formula for Summer: a light dress with a fun print + wedges + cool sunnies!

I'm a petite girl (and proud, the best things in life come in small packages...but I don't mind an extra inch or two). I was missing a pair of black wedges...and I found them at Zappos from Timberland. These are stylish but still a comfortable wedge for all my favorite outdoor activities.  I can be in them all day...I can go to a picnic at the park without worrying about my heel going into the grass...or to a fun bbq without any complains. Just in case you want to see if I'm right, Zappos has fast free shipping and a 365 return policy!!

I've been loving bohemian dresses for the summer...they are light and aire, perfect for the Miami crazy-hot summers.

What's your favorite Summer outfit formula?

Nuestra Belleza Latina viewing party with Colgate Optic White

Nuestra Belleza Latina viewing party with Colgate Optic White, fashion blogger, miami fashion blogger, nany's klozet

Hey girls! How are you? As I shared on my “5 favorite trends for Spring” video, I’m one of the Colgate®Optic White® Chicas Blogueras-  with the lovely Kika Rocha from “De Tacones y más”. I’m very excited and grateful about this opportunity because Colgate is a brand that I’ve used since I was a little girl and a Colgate toothpaste was a must in my house. So get ready because tons of tips and content will be coming througout the year on how to highlight your smile…which of course is OUR best accessory.

A couple of weeks ago, I attended my first event with Colgate® Optic White® to see the Nuestra Belleza Latina season finale. It was a night of beauty, pampering, and fashion.  We were joined by some of Miami’s most well-known stylists. Claudia Alonso, celebrity fashion stylist, showed us the latest fashion accessories and how to pull together any look, from day to night. Also, Gina Dearing and Osira gave us the best makeup tricks to highlight our brilliant smile. TIP TIP: to make your teeth even whiter, wear lipsticks with a blue understone instead of an orange undertone.  But if you are like me and you don’t want to worry about undertones, get whiter teeth in just three days by using Colgate® Optic White® PLATINUM Express White Toothpaste; it has 2x more Hydrogen Peroxide, making it Colgate’s fastest whitening toothpaste. I’ve been using it and I saw results.

I really had a blast, many blogger friends attended and I loved seeing them and catching up with them. But let’s talk about Nuestra Belleza Latina…were you surprised Francisca won? I was a little but I was so glad and happy for her. I love when girls that do not necessarily fit the standard beauty prove that class, humour, and a big smile, can help you achieve anything you put your mind to. XOXO

_____

¡Hola chicas!

Shooting with Target...for the launch of AMBAR!

Wednesday, February 12, 2014

I'm very happy I can finall share this project. It's super hard to keep quit; as a blogger, I like sharing things instantly on Twitter or Instagram.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to shoot a fun video with Target, Rodner Figueroa, Rosy Cordero, & Romina Nabhen. It was such a big honor to be part of this and see the collection before it came out. Let me tell you a little bit more about AMBAR, it was designed with the latina in mind. All the prints, colors, and silhouettes are very flattering...and fun for spring. The collection consists of 39 pieces, all ranfging from $16.99-$39.99. Besides the pieces I'm wearing, I really like a bird-print pair of pants and the lace tops.

I hope you like the pics and video below. You can also see the whole collection by clicking here.

_____

SHEINSIDE white pleather jacket
SHOEDAZZLE lace up heels

GUESS watch
VAHIFE spike bracelet

Last Friday was one of those crazy days; I started with an 8am class and running errands in the early afternoon. Then I rushed home and changed to head out to Doral with Gabo and Tati- there was not only a golf tournament but also a fashion show by the Venezuelan designer Nicolas Felizola. After that we had sushi and ran to an Express after party with the amazing Miami fashion bloggers. It was a little chilly so I wanted to wear a jacket but still be very "spring-y" (I absolutely love the turquoise of the skirt with the white fake leather of the jacket). I know I have been wearing this heels non-stop...I should give them I rest but I think they are so much fun to wear. That's it for today...I have to finish a project for tomorrow's History of Fashion class. XOXO!!

_______

REMIX: GRAPHIC TANK...

Wednesday, March 13, 2013

1. Pixelated Pout    2. Strawberry farm 3. TREND evolution

This pout tank has become one of my favorite shirts because of its versatility; it's not only comfy but it goes with everything. I love how it looks with necklaces on top, and each necklace gives it a different vibe. As you can see, I have paired the tank with pleather, crochet, denim, corduroy, etc. You can really adapt it to your style; wether it is casual, feminine, rocker, military inspired, etc. If you are interested in the tee, it's available at Enter Utopia"  for only $15.

Which one is your favorite look?

____________

Hamsa and maxi lengths...

Friday, March 1, 2013

FUROR MODA maxi skirt
BEGINNING BOUTIQUE crop top
BRAHMIN bag
NINE WEST sandals
FOREVER 21 headband
ZEROUV sungglasses

Before stepping out of my apartment, all I could ask Gabo was "Are you sure I don't look like I'm going to tell you your future?". I was feeling a little bohemian last Sunday, and I love maxi skirts... so I really didn't care if I looked like a psychic. I woke up early to go to brunch at Yardbird- well, it was so early that it was more like a breakfast. We had been craving the biscuits below for months...they are so delicious (if you ever go to Yardbird, you have to order them). While walking back to the car, I realized there was a vintage market on Lincoln road... and I had to check it out. I felt in love with everything...they had the most gorgeous vintage bags and jewelry (we even saw a passport from the 40s...so col!). What do you think of this bohemian look? Have an amazing weekend!!!

_____

TREND EVOLUTION.... Vahife Photoshoot and Event Invite

Saturday, February 23, 2013

Even though I take pictures of my outfits almost every day, I would never consider myself a model- first I need to grow like 20 cm. However, my close friend Valentina from Vahife Boutique asked me to model, along with Karina from Moda On The Rocks, for her new website (it'll be up next week.. so you are getting a special sneak peek that's why they are B&W). It was a great experience (and it was so much fun getting over the top hair and makeup). Now I see models differently... their job is a lot harder than it looks like.

If you live in Miami or in South Florida, here's an event you cannot miss. It's called TREND EVOLUTION- it's next Saturday, March 2nd from 5pm to 10pm at 500 Brickell Ave.  There will be a lot of new artists and talent....from fashion to art and photography (plus light bites and drinks!) You can check out all the details and of course RSVP by clicking HERE. Also, there'll be fun raffles; plus a bracelet for the first 20 people. I'd love to see you girls, and guys, there. XOXO

__________
