Last week I had the amazing opportunity to be part of  Miami's "most stylish" photoshoot with StyleCaster. This is not the actual outfit I wore; I brought extra clothes in my bag (yes, I always have a plan B, C, and D just in case) and I changed after the shoot. Even though this outfit is fully black, I like the different textures on it.  The skirt has the coolest quilted chevron texture...and the top has lace. After the shoot with StyleCaster, we had lunch at another of my favorite restaurants in Miami called "Pollos y Jarras" (which translates to "chicken and jars"). La semana pasada tuve una oportunidad genial de tomar fotos junto al equipo de StyleCaster para la edición de las personas con más estilo de Miami. Este no fue el outfit que utilicé como tal en la sesión de fotos; pero me llevé ropa extra en la cartera en dado caso que me arrepintiera al estar allá... así soy yo, siempre con un plan B, C, y D. Aunque es un outfit bastante sencillo, todo negro; me gusta mucho la combinación de texturas. La falda me parece extremadamente original: es como un alcochado en zig zag; mientras que el top es de encaje. Después de la sesión de fotos, me fui con esto a un restaurante que se llama "Pollos y Jarras" en Downtown...se los recomiendo 100% si viven en Miami o están de visita. Un abrazo grandísimo!!

I know many of you are already exhausted of seeing this skirt everywhere; but I still love it. It's extremely comfortable and it gives a twist to any outfit. I also have it in white (check out white skort remix here). I really like the texture of this one- it's faux leather, so it works perfectly for the Miami "winter". Which look is your favorite?

Se que muchas están ya cansadas de ver esta falda short en todos los blogs y tiendas; pero es que es super cómoda y le da un toque original a cualquier outfit que utilices.  También la tengo en blanco y pueden ver el remix pasando por acá. Está en particular me gusta mucho porque es de cuero sintético en vez de la típica tela negra- y funciona genial para la temporada de "invierno" aquí en Miami. ¿Qué look es tu favorito?

I have to admit it took me a little to start wearing this jacket- I got it in the middle of November, when I was feeling more fall-ish by wearing darker colors. However, as soon as the Spring hit...it became one of my favorite pieces. As you can see, I've worn it with boyfriend jeans, trousers, pink jeggings...and for completely different occasions .

Tengo que admitir que cuando me llegó esta chaqueta en noviembre, no estaba segura con que usarla (creo que fue porque estaba empezando el "otoño" y quería usar piezas más oscuras). Al llegar la primavera, se convirtió en una de mis piezas favoritas. Como pueden ver; la he usado con jeans rotos, faldas, pantalones, jeggings... y para ocasiones totalmente distintas.

You know that I absolutely love wearing casual/comfy outfits, but I also enjoy getting dress a little extra...especially when it comes to going out to dinner with my boyfriend every week. The best part is that the time changed and now I have an extra hour to take pictures before the sun goes down. About the outfit: you all know I love A-style high waisted mini skirts; they make your waist look smaller (and if you have big hips, they are very flattering too). I don't only like the silhouette but also that it is made of faux-leather in beige (it's still versatile enough to pair it with a lot of things, but it's also more fun that the classic black skirt). This time I paired it with a lace shirt, nude pumps,and gold accents...making it almost a monochromatic outfit. Hope you liked it! XOXO

Ustedes saben que por mucho que adoro un outfit casual y cómodo, me encanta arreglarme un poquito extra para ir a cenar con mi novio todas las semanas. Esto lo utilicé el fin de semana pasado para ir a cenar con Gabo a un restaurante lindísimo (por cierto, menos mal que la hora cambió: ahora tengo hasta las 7:30 para tomar fotitos con sol!). En cuanto al outfit: saben que me fascinan las faldas cortitas en A a la cintura (ayudan a crear una cintura más pequeña visualmente, y si eres de caderas anchas también las disimula). Y esta no solo es del estilo que me encanta, es de un "cuero" beige...lo suficientemente neutral para que combine con muchas cosas pero tampoco es la clásica negra, es más divertida. La quise combinar con una camisa de encaje y tonos neutrales- casi convirtiendo el outfit en un look monocromático. Espero que les haya gustado! ¡Un abrazotote!!

Last week, I had the opportunity to be a judge of some fun awards for Raw- and this is what I wore that night (which was freeeeezing- I regretted not wearing tights underneath...yes it was that cold in Miami). La semana pasada tuve la oportunidad de ser la juez en unos premios llamados RAW- y esto fue lo que decidí usar. La noche estuvo bastante fría, más bien me arrepentí de no haber utilizado algún tipo de medias. Después les muestro fotos del evento, que estuvo genial- pero hoy les voy a contar sobre mi look: la falda, suéter, collar, y botas son de la tienda 2020ave. Esta tienda online es una de mis favoritas por sus increíbles precios y piezas de muy buena calidad... como dicen "bueno, bonito, y barato". This week's challenge was to wear something "baroque"- so I knew I wanted to go for a look with a brocade print, very reminiscent of the baroque era. To make the look modern and a little bit edgier, I added a faux leather peplum top. As far as accessories, there is so much gold in the pants that I wanted to keep it as simple as possible with a cute necklace and my favorite ring. Finally, I just wore simple strappy black heels and a classic black bag. I wore this on Friday to go have Sushi with Gabo at a restaurant we just found near my new place.  Did you wear the baroque trend this week? El reto de esta semana era utilizar la tendencia estilo"barroco"- así que para la misma utilicé unos pantalones con un estampado que el brocado. Para hacer el look más moderno lo combiné con un top peplum de "cuero"- originalmente quería uno sin mangas pero este también me encanta. Como los pantalones tenían tanto dorado y llaman tanto la atención, matuve los accesorios sencillos para nos sobrecargar el look.  Finalmente terminé con unas sandalias de tiritas negras y una cartera básica negra.
