Dressing a growing belly is no easy task. I always say that if I wasn't a blogger, I would probably be in the same dress or leggings every day of the week. But, it's true, I do feel the pressure of dressing up and inspiring fellow moms-to-be. I'm not complaining about my belly at all, I just refuse to buy a full new closet. Stay tuned for a "pregnancy style essentials" I'm writing.
My waist has always been the smallest part of my body. I have hips and boobs, and I always tried highlighting my small waist. Because of this, I love wearing high waisted skirts/shorts and dresses with a defined waist. Guest what? All these pieces stopped fitting FIRST. I've been wearing a lot of my pre-belly shirts, but the bottoms...nope! So in my case, I needed to get a few pieces to continue dressing as ME as possible!
I saw these fun BUG shorts at Asos Maternity at SALE (they currently are $12!!) and I felt like why not!? I wore it very similar to the model on the site without even noticing , the outfit probably stayed in the back of my mind and I have this light pink jacket that felt perfect for it!.
Hope you like the look! XOXO
If you have been following me for a while you know tight/stretchy dresses are not my thing. I love oversized things, a good A line, and flowy dresses. However, nothing fits in my closet anymore ...and I kind of wish I had a few more cotton dresses like this one.
This pregnant combo is very common in the Kardashian family; they love bodycon dresses with duster coats and heels- and well, like I said before, they are out of my comfort zone. But again, all the fun stuff happens when you try stuff out of your comfort zone.
I originally wore it for a maternity shoot with my friend Karla Garcia- I added a cozy long cardigan and it was all shot at home. After she left, I had little time to change to go to the Create & Cultivate event I was speaking at. So I told myself: WHY NOT, let's just add this duster I have and give it a go. And I really pushed myself because I wore something I was not used to in front of at least a hundred people. It was fun!
For a moment on my IG feed, it looked like we moved to the Museum of Ice Cream- but now, we were visiting again - but this time for the Kendra Scott Spring Collection Launch Celebration . It was such a great idea, they invited a big group of bloggers before the Museum opened for the day. As soon as we arrived, we got to choose our favorite piece from the collection and wear it throughout the museum (brilliant idea, since this is THE PLACE for pictures). I picked some statement ombré earrings in shades of pink/purple that went perfectly with my outfit.

Castaways and Lovers meet 🎶
Then kiss in Ecuador’s heat 🎶
Then kiss in Ecuador’s heat 🎶
Like I've mentioned, Ecuador became the meeting place for my venezuelan family. It's where some of my family members live, and it's an easy trip for us in the U.S and for my brother in Chile.
A friend from Ecuador told me that at this pace, I've been to more cities in Ecuador than her. But our family loves road trips and exploring new cities.
At the beginning of the year, we went to the beach- a gorgeous beach called Punta Blanca in Santa Elena. From what I saw, this area has mostly beach houses people from the city rent. My family found this house on AirBnb and it fits 16 people- GORGEOUS. You crossed the street and the beach is RIGHT there.

I have to tell you everything about the scarf I'm wearing in my head.
My dear friend Valentina- who is also a blogger at MVTrends- launched a scarf collection called Silk by MVTrends. Every scarf is inspired by a city- and OMG they are all so stunning (wait, and I haven't mentioned they are only $25!!!). Mine is called SEVILLA .
Because I was at the beach, I was inspired to wear it on my head often. This is such an easy way to fold, but I got a few requests to do a tutorial. What do you girls think? Should I?
The dress is from ASOS maternity, it was one of my first purchases when I found out I was pregnant. I got a few dresses that I thought I could wear throughout pregnancy and that they were versatile enough.
My issue with pregnancy clothes is that they are definitely made for the later months. Everything I got is STILL huge (and here I was 20 weeks, halfway there!), My solution: belting it with one of my favorite belts. I think it ended up adding a fun touch to the look.
Some of my favorite picks from ASOS Maternity.

Feeling the 70s inspiration in this full look by Modcloth . As soon as I put it on, it reminded me of my favorite photo of my mom in the 70s with flared jeans, a turtleneck, and a coat over the shoulders. I love how everything comes back in style, what's your favorite decade?
I'm also getting lots of requests for more winter looks- which is so hard living in Miami but this one definitely is a great look for colder days. The colorful confetti coat is a DREAM and it is more versatile that you would think.
Life isn't the big moments, life isn't about waiting for graduation, that big promotion at work, that cool vacation, or the big wedding. Life is all that happens in between these "big" moments- and they are worth appreciating.
Here are some of my favorite little things in life:
1. Morning cuddles with Chiki and Gabe. This is probably my favorite little moment ever. I absolutely love waking up and appreciating another day together. Totally guilty of pressing the snooze button a few times just to spend more time with them.
2. Walks or rides in the park. I live right in front of the ocean, and there's nothing like crossing the street and just hearing the ocean (plus I've been lucky enough to see dolphins from time to time!). I'm been trying to ride my bike more often, it's just liberating.
3. Wearing that special jewelry or bag whenever I want. Sometimes we invest in a piece but keep it in the original bag until we have "something" special. I'm the other way. I'm an advocate for wearing your favorite pieces all day every day! Here I'm wearing the TOUS collection Ivette; so dainty, so beautiful. Perfect for the every day AND for a special occasion with that beautiful outfit.
Can this outfit get any more Miami ? I mean, we have the pastels & the palm trees...so 305!
When I'm wearing bold prints, I like to keep my accessories simple. Reason why I added three TOUS necklaces in rose gold for a fun but subtle layering.
What I'm especially loving about this collection is how you can mix and match; you can choose the little chain and then add the medallions (I also added this medallion to a velvet choker for edgier outfits..such a cute touch. I can't wait to show you). All the pieces that I'm wearing are part of the Camille Collection.
If you are already planning for Mother's Day gifts, get a customized medallion + chain necklace for your mom. Pick her birthstone or maybe just one that just reminds you of her.
Another cute gift idea? Bag charms!! They are a great way to give personality to bag. I'm carrying this little crab one that I thought it was adorable. Another cute options: this butterfly, a fruit one, or the classic bear one! <3
How are the preparations for Mother's Day? Any gift ideas? big hugs!
¡No creo!
Today, in honor of Earth Day, I'm very excited to be wearing one of the dresses from the latest H&M Conscious Collection- made from sustainable materials! All companies should be heading in that direction and make sure that the entire garment life cycle is hurting the Earth as little as possible.
This H&M collection just launched on April 20th; and all of the pieces are absolutely gorgeous! This year, they introduced a new BIONIC yarn that is made with plastic recovered from shorelines, waterways, and coastal communities- protecting the oceans from plastic pollutions.
This dress is made from organic silk- which comes from silk worms living in organic mulberry trees (no pesticides, insecticides, GMOs or harsh chemicals are used in the cultivation process!).
Hopefully more brands will join this conscious movement! Let's make it happen!
Happy Earth Day!
We shot these photos for Express' blog last month and I wanted to share them over here!
We had to do outfits for different weddings' dress code. But it was Gabe who was the main subject...and I was more than happy to be behind the camera.
Hope you like them too! I can't wait to be able to share more! XOXO
I love all-black outfits..but more than that, I love a bold pop of red- sometimes it is with just a bold lip color but this time I added the coolest red moto jacket from Rebecca Minkoff.
To go to Cuenca we drove up from Guayaquil, it was a 5 hour trip (approximately). We stopped several times since we were a big group and someone was always hungry or wanted to go to do bathroom...or to take a pic (that was Gabe all the time).
The road was a little foggy but when it showed us the view...it was absolutely beautiful!.
Hope you liked the 3-part photo diary from Cuenca! XOXO
¡BESOS!
This is not necessarily the most fashionable outfit, we were just picking up my brother at the bus station...when we decided to walk around.
I was amazed by the architecture, the people, the culture...breathtaking!! My husband, Gabriel (@Gabe_Media) did an amazing job capturing the beauty of this place.
Enjoy the pics!! <3
Before people get confused, let me quickly explain this: I'm from Venezuela but currently my parents and older brother are living in Ecuador. I also have a couple of cousins there.
Every year we used to meet in Merida (a gorgeous city in the mountains). This year we met in Cuenca...which actually reminded me a lot of Mérida because of the weather and scenery. We rented a house and it was 13 of us staying together- it was basically a weekend of playing cards, volleyball...I was bonding with my niece and nephew. It was really fun.
Hope you like the pictures of this beautiful place. XOXO
