Another year...another birthday together!
Gabe turned 31 the day of these photos. I always say it but I can't believe how fast time is going by. When we met at 17-18, we really had no idea of everything that was about to come.
Last year, during his birthday, he had a broken leg and I was still bleeding from the miscarriage (TMI, I know- but you can imagine how hard it was).
On the contrary, this year, we were full of hope. We celebrated with friends and his family. It's definitely amazing how things can change in a year, how we have grown so much, but at the same time we are the same.
Ok I'm getting a little bit deep right here. But I'll continue to daydream about his 32th birthday and how it will also include a tiny little him.
Gabo cumplió 31 años el día que tomamos estas fotos. Todavía siento que todos estos cumpleaños que hemos pasado juntos han pasado en un abrir y cerrar de ojos.
El año pasado celebramos mientras el tenía una pierna rota y yo todavía sangraba de la pérdida del bebé (probablemente es más información de lo que quieran saber, pero con eso les digo todo de lo difícil que fue ese cumpleaños).
Este año, al contrario, fue uno lleno de esperanza. Celebramos igual con familia y amigos pero el saber que el año que viene va a haber un chiquitín con nosotros nos tiene el corazón inmenso. Es impresionante como tanto puede cambiar en un año, pero al mismo tiempo sentir que nada ha cambiado.

I'm amused by the amount of hate in social media. Every time I find a cute video, I try not to scroll to the comment section because most of the times, no matter what, people find something to criticize.
I'm not saying not to SPEAK UP, but it's always better to look at things positively. See the beauty, and SPEAK LOVE!
¡ De verdad que me quedo impresionada cada vez que encuentro un video lindo, divertido, o interesante, porque todos la sección de comentarios está siempre llena de tanto odio- sin importar lo que sea, algo critican.
No digo que tengamos miedo a hablar. No digo que "calladita te ves más bonita", porque NO es así. ¡Pero realmente el mundo cambia cuando empiezas a ver la belleza en todo y a hablar con AMOR!
Today is one of those that I have absolutely no idea what to write here. I'm sure if you are a blogger you know what I'm talking about.
So instead of writing what I did and why I have bee wearing some type of variation of this outfit the whole summer. I want to remind you something. Something that you should repeat to yourself every day to fill you with positive vibes that can be spread.

Hoy es uno de esos días que no tengo idea que escribir acá. Se que si eres blogger, te has encontrado en esta situación miles de veces ( y el saber que tengo que escribirlo dos veces, no tiende a ayudar).
Así que en vez de sentarme a contarles lo que hice ese día o porque este ha sido mi uniforme de verano. Quiero recordarles un par de cosas. Frases que he estado intentando repetirme a diario que te llenan tu vida de positivismo.

This has been one of my favorite collaborations this year, because it was really out of my comfort zone and pushed me to bring to bring you different content. The whole idea with this Instagram campaign with BMW was to show you around Miami and embracing the city I live in.
The adventure started with the M-Track Day; where we got to race many BMW cars. Then BMW South Florida lent me a car for a little over a month drive around. My first stop was Wynwood, since we ended up taking photos I shared it as a blogpost HERE- and then we did a mini road trip to Islamorada, which also had its own blogpost since it was more of a trip (see it HERE).
But the recommendations kept coming on Instagram and I want to share them over here too!

Esta ha sido una de mis colaboraciones favoritas este año porque realmente me sacó de mi zona de comfort y me obligó a mostrarles otro tipo de contenido. La idea de esta campaña de Instagram con BMW era mostrarles diferentes areas de Miami y mostrarles mis sitios favoritos.
La aventura empezó con lo que llaman M-Track Day; donde manejamos diferentes carros de BMW. Después tuve uno de los carros por un poco más de un mes y llevarlo a todos estos sitios que les conté. La primera parada fue Wynwood, y como tomamos muchas fotitos ahí ya les había dejado ese blogpost ACA. Despuésnos fuimos a Islamorada y key West y como fue más como un viaje también les mostré las fotos por acá

A must-stop was Calle Ocho in Little Havana for our last stop with @BMWusa 💃🏽💃🏽 From Domino games happening everywhere, to live Salsa music and cafecito on every corner... this is the heart of MIAMI ❣️ Let me tell you about our favorite place for a casual date: Azúcar! 🍦🍦(because they have the best ice cream flavors like "Café con Leche," "Galleta María," and "Dulce de Leche"). Also, in the back, you can see "Ball and Chain": best place to dance the night away!

Aquí nos fuimos al corazón de Miami: CALLE 8 en Little Havana. En esta zona van a encontrar partidas de dominó, música en vivo (salsa por supuesto 💁🏻), y las mejores coladas!☕️A nosotros nos gusta mucho ir a un sitio de heladitos 🍦 que se llama AZUCAR ( tienen los mejores sabores: dulce de leche, galleta maría, café con leche etc) y atrás también pueden ver "Ball & Chain", genial para ir a bailar 💃🏽 espero que les hayan gustado todas estas recomendaciones por Miami y cuéntenme si quieren más❣️❣️

A true Miamian avoids South Beach; instead we prefer going to Mid Beach or North Miami beach for quieter beach time! 🏖 Last weekend I headed there with a couple of friends, few floaties, and lots of sunscreen! My recommendation is to try to park around 75th and Collins, there is a big parking lot right across the beach and there are gorgeous pastel art deco buildings that really capture the beauty of this city!

Todos los que vivimos Miami le huimos a South Beach (por la cantidad de turistas); preferimos ir a las playas que están un poco más al norte ya que son más tranquilas (¡pero igual de lindas!). Mi recomendación es que se estacionen en la 75 y Collins; hay un estacionamiento justo en frente de la playa y van a ver muchos edificios estilo "Art Deco" muy característicos de la ciudad!
When it's time for some luxury shopping: the Design District is the place to be. Taking advantage of the mid-year designer sales, I did a bit of credit card damage (I got tons of questions, it's the Celine blue bag you have seen around!!). But iIt's not only about the haute design, there are great restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, galleries, and bars in this beautiful area.

Si tienen ganas de hacer compritas (¡de las especiales! ...de esas cuando te quieres dar un gusto después de mucho trabajo!🛍🛍) en Miami, les recomiendo el area del Design District- la architectura es bellísima y van a encontrar las tiendas más lujosas de todo Miami. Pero no es solo para ir de shopping, en esta zona hay muchos restaurants, galerías, bars, y cafés...y lugares para fotitos.

Today I’m really excited to go back to my roots and do a little REMIX with probably the most versatile piece of clothing a woman can own: a white shirt. Before the "Clásico" game, the Shopstyle team took us to brunch at the Miami Edition. Many girls came from out of town, and it was so nice seeing everyone. Gabe was the official photographer of the day and he had one on one times with all the bloggers-which I know he enjoys. I obviously got my one on one too and we had a blast shooting around the beautiful property.
I thought this was the MOST brunch-ish outfit ever: the plaid, the off the shoulder, the statement earrings, the rafia details- I LOVE IT!

Antes del Clásico, el equipo de SHopstyle nos invitó a un Brunch en el Miami Edition. Fui la primera en llegar porque Gabe fue el encargado de tomar las fotos ese día (de casualidad lo contrataron antes de invitarme, me emociona ver como lo están reconocimiento por su talento!).
Era un grupo bastante grande como tal vez vieron en el post del juego, y Gabe estuvo mayormente ocupado tomándole fotos a cada una de las bloggers individualmente. Yo fui la última, y aunque ya me sentía derretida y lista para un baño, me encantaron como quedaron.
Creo que este look grita BRUNCH; con el estampado de cuadros, los hombros al aire, los aretes grande, los detalles de rafia... a mi me encantó! ¡Espero inspirarlas a usar algo similar!

I don't know why or how but we always end up matching- this means that we have been together for SO LONG! Actually it means that I dressed similar to him, because Gabe, lately, is always wearing dark tees and light jeans!
I got this tee at Nordstrom a few weeks ago and I love it. It's also long enough in case I want to wear it as a cute rock&roll shirt dress!
I wanted to play up the accessory game so I added my favorite red bandana, a fun hat, and the yellow-tinted aviators!

Estos jeans son la pesadilla de toda mamá, tía, y abuelita 🤣👖🤣 " y tu vasss a salir asi" " y tu pagaste por esos pantalones rotos" "me dices y yo te los hubiese roto"🤣🤣...¿que más les han dicho sus mamás/abuelas cuando usan pantalones rotos?
No se porque parece que nos combinamos a propósito, pero creo que lo que significa es que llevamos juntos MUCHO TIEMPO y ya nos estamos vistiendo similar. O simplemente me vestí como Gabe, porque últimamente esta usando mucho camisas negras con jeans.
Esta camisa de Guns&Roses la compré en Nordstrom hace un par de semanas y no me la quito. Es también larga, ya pronto me la verá como un vestido.
Quería jugar con los accesorios , por eso agregué mi pañuelo favorito, un sombrerito, y estos lentes amarillos.
Fuimos a un evento con Dove. Les cuento más de eso abajo.

If you have been following me since I started the blog, you know that H&M is one of my all-time favorite stores. I love how, every year, they keep pushing the bar and innovating- while keeping the collections budget friendly.
The inspiration for “City Diaries”,H&M’s newest collection, was bright colors, vivid prints, and expressive accessories that take you from dawn to dusk. As soon as I saw the catalog and the video, there were a couple of pieces that caught my eye instantly. First there was a gorgeous red off-the-shoulder dress; my local store didn’t have it…but it is still online, and it’s calling my name. And talking about off the shoulder (one of my favorite trends for Spring), there also was a baby blue off-the-shoulder top, for $9.99!!
There was one piece I couldn’t resist, a jacquard-weave jacket. I love that I can wear it as a top with its removable tie, or with a simple white top underneath as a cool blazer. The print makes a big statement that will bring all eyes to you! I paired it with a pair of dark gray jeans, some super cool clogs, and a fringed nude mini bag.

Si me siguen desde hace mucho tiempo, saben que H&M es de mis tiendas favoritas. Me encanta como cada temporada juegan con las temporadas pero siempre se mantienen a buenos precios.
Para la nueva colección "City Diaries", H&M se inspiró en colores vivos, estampados llamativos, y accesorios expresivos que te lleven desde el amanecer al atardecer. Apenas vi el catálogo y el video de la campaña, varias peizas me llamaron la atención inmediatamente. Primero hay un vestido rojo con los hombros al aire que ando buscando como loca...vamos a ver si lo vuelven a poner a la venta online. Y también hay un top azul con los hombros al descubierto por solo $9.99!
Pero les cuento de la pieza que agarré sin pensarlo...esta chaqueta de estampado tribal. Me gusta mucho que puedo usarla como top usando la cinta con la que viene...o como un blazer con un top sencillo debajo. El estampado es tan llamativo que todo el mundo te va a preguntar por el. Lo combiné con unos jeans grises oscuros, unos zuecos de madera, y una cartera nude con flecos.

I wanted to wear my hair like this for a while- besides it's perfect for those "bad hair days". I think this hairdo is very bohemian, reason why I wanted to wear something boho to go with it- and I think a maxi skirt and clogs were exactly the pieces I needed. I love that it looks like a maxi dress instead of a skirt + top.
I also wanted to tell you guys about my bag from Mimi Boutique- it is inspired by the Alexa Mulberry Bag minus the thousands of dollars. It is huge so you can throw whatever you need to go to work or school- it even fits my laptop!

Tenía tiempo queriendo hacerme este peinado; aparte que es perfecto para esos días que el cabello no está muy controlable. Así que quise combinar el peinado con algo bohemio; y que más que una falda larga y zuecos. Me gusta que parece que tuviera un maxi-dress sencillo en vez de una falda.

Estoy segura que le cabe hasta mi laptop adentro, así que sería perfecta para la universidad o el trabajo- o simplemente lanzarle mil cosas adentro.
