Last month, I told you all about how we started a little gym corner after getting an amazing deal on this compact treadmill from QVC.
We still have so much to do around the house and my bedroom is definitely nowhere done. However, I’ve been eyeing some pieces to spice up my vanity and there was this mirror with multi magnification and storage, it also comes in silver but rose gold is more of the vibe I’m going for. I also really liked that the base has a storage perfect enough to keep my daily makeup organized.

The bad news, I forgot I cannot use it yet (the skin is just extra sensitive during pregnancy). So I might either gift it to my mom on Mother’s Day that’s coming pretty soon…OR wait until July and make sure the baby glow stays!

When I was doing the video tutorial with TEMPTU, I was inspired by the makeup of DKNY's runway (where models where sporting orange lips and velvety skin...you can check out my tutorial here too). Then, I started looking at photos of the collection and ended up wanting to recreate some of the looks.. transforming it from the runway to the real way. Again, inspiration is everywhere, the most important is to adapt it and make it your own.

Cuando estaba haciendo el video con TEMPTU, me inspiré en el maquillaje de la pasarela de DKNY (en donde las modelos llevaban una piel de seda y labios naranja, recuerden que pueden ver mi tutorial acá). Pero luego me puse a ver en detalle las fotos de la colección y quise recrear uno de los looks. Como les digo siempre, la inspiración está en todos lados, lo importante es adaptarla a nuestra personalidad y estilo de vido.

Last month I started a little segment called "Blogger Swap"- my goal was 1. to introduce you to new bloggers and 2. show that being inspired by other bloggers is more than okay...we all do it!
Today's swap is with Ashley from Ashes into Fashion- who has an amazing style and the biggest heart!. This swap was extreemely hard because I wanted to do MANY of her outfits. I ended up doing this one with a geometric neon skirt (hers is green, mine pink as you can see), a black blazer, white top, white shoes, and boxy sunglasses. Remember that being inspired is not about copying the look 100%, it's about taking ideas and adapting them to your style and what you own. Check out which of my look Ashley chose HERE.

El mes pasado les dije que iba a comenzar una sección llamada "Blogger Swap" (o traducido al castellano como Intercambio de Bloggers). La idea de esto es 1. Presentarle a otras bloggers que tal vez no conocen y 2. que por ser "fashion blogger" no significa que no tomo inspiración de otras bloggeras.
Hoy el intercambio es con Ashley de Ashes into Fashion- quien aparte de tener un gran estilo, tiene un corazón aún más grande. Este intercambio fue difÃcil porque querÃa "copiarle" todos los outfits. Pero me decidà por este con una falda geométrica de colores neones (la de ella verde y la mÃa rosada), un blazer negro, camisa blanca, zapatos blancos y lentes de sol cuadraditos. Como siempre les digo, no se trata de imitar el look al 100%, si no tomar inspiración y adaptarla a tu gusto y a tu estilo. No olvides pasar por ACA para ver cual de mis looks Ashley escogió.
Muchas chicas me han escrito para hacer un "blogger swap"- no se si tenga tiempo de hacerlo con todas, ya estoy full por dos meses. Pero si fueron se inspiraron en mi, lo cual es un gran honor, mándenme su look y puedo agregarlos por aquà con un enlace a su blog.

SHOP THE LOOK
First of all, I completely admit this look was inspired by Anabelle from Viva Luxury. As a fashion blogger and blogger addict, I spent A LOT of time on bloglovin and lookbook.nu- and I take a lot of inspiration from there (the important thing is making it your own!). As soon as I saw this look from Anabelle, I saved it since I had very similar pieces in my closet and I loved how the casual neon shorts look more polished when paired with a classic and structured blazer (and I'm obsessed with the round sunnies..they totally complete the look). I wore this during the weekend to a restaurant for one of my best friend's birthday- I was the only girl there but I love it.. I think I get along better with guys- they always end up telling the craziest stories and they think I'm one of the "boys". I hope you are having an amazing week! XOXO

Empiezo aclarando algo: este look fue inspirado por Anabelle de Viva Luxury. Como buena blogger, paso bastante tiempo viendo otros blogs de moda- y como todas ustedes, tomo inspiración de todos lados...asà sea en una revista o en otro blog- lo importante es que siempre le des tu toque personal. Apenas vi este look de Anabelle hace unas semanas dije "tengo piezas casi idénticas a este look!" y me encantó como se ve el short de neón con el toque más formal del blazer (y amo como se ve con estos lentes redondos, siento que completan el look). Esto fue lo que utilicé para ir a cenar con un grupo de amigos por el cumpleaños de uno de ellos. Era la única mujer entre un grupo de hombres, pero son mis mejores amigos desde hace años y los adoro! Siempre me he llevado mejor con los hombres, me agarran tanta confianza que creo que piensan que soy otro niñito más. ¡Espero que esten pasando una bonita semana! Un abrazo inmenso a todas!

A couple of weeks ago, I've shared some exciting news about being part of Chictopia + JCPenney Holiday campaign. Reason why this week I headed to the closest JC Penney and I found some amazing things- specially from the MNG by Mango collection. There I fell in love with these gold jeans and the cat eye sunglasses. this time I wanted to pair them with some classic pieces like the quilted bag, black pumps, a simple tee and a black blazer- that way the pants stand out completely. I wore this to have lunch with a couple of friends yesterday! How would you wear these gold jeans?

¿Se acuerdan que les conté hace unas semanas que soy parte de la campaña de Chictopia + JCPenney? :D Esta semana me aventuré al que queda más cerca de mi casa y encontré varias cositas -sobre todo me encantó la lÃnea de Mango para JCPenney; ahà me enamoré de estos pantalones dorados y estos lentes tipo gato. En esta ocasión quise combinarlo con negro y blanco, lo más básico posible pero estoy segura que los van a ver muchÃsimo! . Esto fue lo que utilicé para ir a almorzar tarde con unos amigos! ¿Cómo combinarÃan ustedes estos pantalones dorados!?

I love blazers, they really change your look completely- and a black blazer is one of those pieces that should be in everyone's klozet. You can wear them to the office, to the movies, to a party... or even to the red carpet like I did.

Me fascinan los blazers- considero que cambian tu look completamente. Y un blazer color negro no puede faltar en tu klozet; puedes usarlo en la oificina, con jeans para ir al cine, a una fiesta... o hasta en unos premios como lo usé yo.

The other day, I got a question on Formspring about leggings- she wanted me to show her how I would wear them. I specially love them for traveling and those days you just want to be super comfy. However, I challenge myself to dress them up a little and this is what I came up with: blazer, heels, a little bag and a sparkly headband really transform the outfit. This outfit can be worn with flats instead of heels and a big tote for the everyday life and it still looks amazing! I really wanted to wear this headband- a friend from school made it for me. She does handmade headbands and they are GORGEOUS! (like her on Facebook: Valentina Hidalgo Acessories). This is what I wore to have dinner with my bf; after studying like crazy the whole Thursday, I really needed a break. I hope you have an amazing weekend!
El otro dÃa me preguntaron por Formspring que si usaba leggings y que si podÃa usarlos. A mi me encantan especialmente para esos dÃas que quieres estar cómoda - especialmente al viajar. Asà que lo tomé como un reto y los quise combinar de una forma que se vieran bastante arregladitos. Es impresionante como el blazer cambia el look- si quieres algo más casual este outfit se ve igual de lindo con unos flats y una cartera grande para tu dÃa a dÃa. Les cuento sobre mi headband, las hace una amiga de la universidad. Todas son hechas a mano, y ella me cuenta que ninguna es igual a la otra ya que utiliza materiales distintos. Esta me pareció una belleza; y aunque estaba que no fuera a contrastar por mi cabello oscuro, las lentejuelas le dan el toque perfecto (SÃganla en Valentina Hidalgo Accessories). Esto fue lo que utilicé para ir a cenar con mi novio ayer jueves- después de estudiar para un examen hoy y preparar una presentación... necesitaba despejarme un ratito. Espero que tengan un feliz fin de semana!!
You already saw my amazing green jeans from JC Penny- I couldn't wait any longer to show you the royal blue ones I got. I love the color, reason why I wanted them to pop while keeping the rest of the outfit completely black. I wore a similar version of this outfit to school, a striped (gray and navy blue) cardigan, flats, and a big black tote. Later on that day, I swap some pieces to make it less casual and I headed to an Estee Lauder event- which was amazing! I was able to hear and try about perfumes that are coming out soon; my favorite was Poppy from Coach- I'm so excited I'll get it soon. Then, someone arrived... ANGEL SANCHEZ- a venezuelan designer. I was so excited, I talked with him about my blogs and everything! Can you believe I took my camera with me but I forgot my memory card? Ya vieron mis pantalones verdes de JC Penney, hoy les muestro los otros jeans que compré. El azul es espectacular- como les dije, también los tienen en amarillo, rosado, blanco, y negro. Esta vez dejé que fueran totalmente el protagonista del outfit, razón por la que mantuve el resto del outfit totalmente negro. Al igual que los jeans verdes, este outfit fue modificado del dÃa a la noche: los usé en la mañana en la universidad con un cardigan gris con rayitas azul oscuro,flats, y una cartera grande. Luego en la tardecita cambié el cardigan por un blazer , los flats por los tacones y una carterita pequeña. Fui a un evento increÃble de Estee Lauder en el cual nos enseñaban los nuevos perfumes de la marca (incluye DKNY, Coach, Tommy Hilfiger, y más). Mi favorito fue el Poppy de Coach, pronto lo tendré en mis manos! De la nada llegó alguien que no me esperaba... ANGEL SANCHEZ- diseñador venezolano. Tuve la oportunidad de hablar con él y contarle de mis blogs- estaba super emocionada. ¿Puedes creer que me llevé la cámara pero sin memoria!? Por esa razón algunas de las fotos de abajo fueron tomadas con mi celular! Gracias por visitar el blog! Un abrazo inmensisÃmo!
