Happy Holidays. Love, Nany - with Shutterfly

As the holidays approach, I’ve been trying to do all the holiday shopping on time. I used to be the one running around the mall on December 23rd.

When giving and receiving gifts, I appreciate gifts that are thoughtful and personal. I love when a gift screams: “This reminded me of you” instead of “Here’s a generic gift”.

Today I’m partnering with Shutterfly to show you some of the personalized gifts I’ve gotten for friends and family (and for my husband, myself, and the house). I’ve been using Shutterfly to print photo books and stationery for so long- but I love how the site makes gifting so easy, you can personalize your gifts with or without photos.

But before thinking about gifting, I had to update (and personalize) some of our Holiday decor. I got the cutest pillows. I love how much I could personalize the pillows (front and back!). For one I just added a simple Holiday picture with reindeers and penguins, but on the back I added “The Sanchez Family” for that personal touch. On the second pillow, which is full of Holiday phrases like “Joy To The World” and “Peace, Love, and Joy”, I added “Feliz Navidad”- our culture, our language, and our heritage is very important to us and adding “Merry Christmas” in Spanish just felt like HOME.

I also got stockings with our names; including Chiki (our puppy) and Luisa (my cousin who is currently living with us!)…can’t wait to fill them with yummy candy! Finally, I got some gold metallic mugs, because the Holidays aren’t the Holidays without some hot chocolate with marshmallows! For the mug, I added a picture of us from Christmas 2015- which was our first time decorating our place as a little family!

But let’s talk about GIFTS!

My dad loves his social whiskey; and I found this flask that I thought was a great gift to personalize; and the black matte makes it modern and unique. To make it even more special, I also got him a bottle of whiskey to pair his flask with.

My sister-in-law, Anais, loves makeup. She has the greatest lipstick collection and she is always rocking the cutest shades of lippies. This is why I wanted to get her a personalized canvas pouch that she can use as a makeup bag (with her name and lips, of course!) and I filled it with some makeup goodies I know she will love too!


My other sister-in-law, Francheska loves cooking….she is such a great cook and entertainer. I got her this cutting board that I know she is going to use for her delicious recipes. And the board is so cute that it would look great with cheese.

The holidays always come with fun get-togethers at friends’ houses…and if there’s something my family taught me it’s to never arrive anywhere with my hands empty. A quick an easy gift for a friend is a wine bag with their favorite wine inside…easy and thoughtful! You can personalize the wine bags at Shutterfly, but I felt a simple “Merry” would save me from “oops, we forgot to get a gift”.

I still have some shopping to do. I know my mom is going to see this and get all jealous…”don’t worry Mom, you’ll get a personalized gift too!!”.
