The third day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim was amazing, and a little long too! It started at the TRESemme suite where Marco Peña,  celebrity hairstylist, did my hair- we went for natural bohemian/beachy waves to go with my striped dress. Gabo came with me to the suite; we ate, drank, try new products, and did a fun video with a Jennifer Lopez song (the "I wanna dance"one). After that, I met with a UK magazine called Grazia UK and they took some outfit pics! Then we headed backstage where Marco Peña was in charge of doing the mode's hair, and Gabo had lots of fun taking some candid pictures of the models. Finally, we went to the "Agua Bendita" fashion show- which was AMAZING; I absolutely loved the prints and the bright colors. Oh and btw, the stripe dress was not only because it was perfect for the Miami heat... it worked with this week's challenge too. I hope you like the pictures! XOXO

El tercer día de Mercedes Benz Fashion Week en Miami fue otro día largo y espectacular- empecé en la suite de TRESemme en donde Marco Peña, estilista de celebridades, me peinó con unas ondas naturales y bohemias que fueran con mi vestido largo. Gabo me acompaño a la suite de TRESemme; y aparte de probar productos de la nueva colección, tuvimos que hacer un pequeño video con unos cartelitos y de fondo una canción de Jennifer Lopez. Después me reuní con una revista de Inglaterra llamada Gracia UK y me tomaron unas fotos. Ya más tardecita tuvimos la oportunidad de ir a los bastidores donde estaban peinando y maquillando a las modelos del siguiente desfile. Y finalmente fuimos al desfile de Agua Bendito, el cual me fascinó por sus estampados y colores- pueden ver muchas fotitos debajo. Sobre mi outfit: me moría por usar este vestido de rayitas (no solo por el reto, sino que fue perfecto para el calor infernal de Miami). Espero que disfruten las fotos... se que son muchísimas! After the Bal Harbour Brunch, I run to Tatiana's house to dress up a little more- Steffy was already there and we carpooled to the beach to continue the "SwimWeek" craziness. We first headed to a "blogger retreat" with Socialyte and "Pour La Victorie"- it was filled with Miami bloggers and special guests from NYC and LA. There we got a preview of  Pour La Victorie's Spring/Summer 2012 collection (see pics below- are the shoes gorgeous!?)- then we had a delicious dinner that included sliders (pictured below too). Since we were already at the SohoBeachHouse, we stayed for StyleSaves- where they had a fashion show with different Miami boutiques. About my outfit: I built the look around the gold pleated skirt- I wanted to keep the look simple so it would pop; meaning simple accessories, nude shoes, and my favorite vintage bag. Después del "desalmuerzo" con Bal Harbour Shops, salí corriendo a casa de Tatiana para arreglarme un poquito más y encontrarnos con Steffy para seguir con la locura de "SwimWeek". De ahí fuimos a una reunión de blogueras junto a Socialyte y la marca de zapatos "Pour La Victorie". En este evento habían muchísimas blogueras de Miami y las invitadas especiales de Nueva York- ahí pudimos ver un adelanto de la colección de Pour La Victorie que va a salir el año que viene (fotos abajo). Después de ahí fuimos a comer en la piscina de SohoBeachHouse y nos quedamos para Style Saves, que tuvieron un desfile con diferentes boutiques de Miami. Sobre mi outfit: quería que esta falda dorada de Beginning boutique fuera el centro del outfit- razón por la que lo combiné con piezas sencillas y pocos accesorios. Gracias por visitar mi blog! XOXO

I had a LONG day yesterday, I'm not complaining... it's just that I'm not used to this craziness. My day started with a brunch at SohoBeachHouse thanks to Bal Harbour& Bloggers Night Out", it was an intimate event with bloggers from Los Angeles, New York, and of course... Miami! The food was so delicious, and we had an amazing time in the crazy Miami heat & humidity- humidity that made my hair a big ball of frizz. About my outfit: I just wanted to wear something comfy since it was around noon. I opted for fun floral shorts, a shoulder-cut-out shirt and wedges.  Ayer tuve un día bastante largo, no me quejo; empezó al mediodía con un almuerzo de "Bal Harbour& Bloggers Night Out" junto a blogueras de Los Angeles, Nueva York, y por supuesto... ¡Miami! El desalmuerzo (desayuno-almuerzo o brunch) fue en el decimoquinto piso, con una vista espectacular, de SohoBeachHouse. La comida estuvo exquisita, como van a poder ver en las fotos- y la pasamos cheverísimo...apesar del calor y humedad (humedad que acabó con mi cabello en 5 minutos). Sobre mi outfit: quería usar algo sencillo y cómodo ya que fue al mediodía- solución: shorts de flores y blusa con los hombros al aire. ¡Espero que disfruten las fotos... después pongo más de este mismo día en la tarde y en la noche! ¡Un abrazo!

This week is MB Fashion Swim, and what better way to start it that with a fashion show/ party at this chic place called SohoBeachHouse. My started at school and then I headed to Tatiana's  place to get ready with Steffy. We went to Ready, Set, Swim first and then to CosmoSplash. It was amazing, we had lots of fun and I loved seeing so many Miami bloggers at the event. The runway was in the middle of the pool, and there were a lot of gorgeous swimsuits. Ayer empezó oficialmente la Semana de la Moda en Miami (Swim Week) y que mejor forma de comenzar que con una fiesta/desfile en un sitio muy de moda en Miami llamado SohoBeachHouse. Mi día empezó en la universidad, y de ahí seguí a casa de Tatiana junto a Steffy para arreglarnos e ir a CosmoSplash y a un evento llamado Ready,Set, Swim. Estuvo super chevere, no tienen idea lo lleno que estaba el sitio- lo mejor de todo es que habían muchísimas blogueras. La pasé extremadamente bien con Tati y Steffy, son las mejores! La pasarela era en el medio de la piscina y nos consintieron con cocktails y pasapalos. ¡También le tengo que dar las gracias a Pantene y a Covergirl por la invitación! Espero que les haya gustado este look!

This remix is a little different than usual; dresses are a little harder to make them look completely different- reason why most of my remixes are tops/skirts/shorts/pants. So this time I'm showing you three different dresses and two different ways to wear each - one is more dressed down than the other. Always look for dresses than you can wear during the day with flats and simple accessories- and with heels for the night. Also, don't be afraid to experiment with blazers, cardigans, hats, belts, and necklaces. Hope you liked this idea! XOXO

Este remix es un poco diferente ya que se puede decir que los vestidos "son más difíciles de combinar"- razón por la cual casi todos mis remixes son de camisas, faldas, shorts, o pantalones. Así que se me ocurrió mostrarles 3 vestidos- todos usados de dos formas distintas, una más formal que la otra. Busca siempre vestidos que puedas usar día a día con flats o sandalias bajitas y que también puedas usar con tacones y accesorios de noche.  Tampoco tengas miedo de experimentar con blazers, sombreros, cinturones y collares. Espero que les haya gustado este remix diferente!

Living of a small suitcase is extremely hard, specially for a "fashion blogger"- since I was going to Venezuela just for 2 weeks, I only took the necessary. I wore this to my baby cousin's baptism- I was the godmother! Originally, I wanted to wear a peplum skirt and a dressy top but I felt like the skirt was to tight for the occasion and I ended up with this bright and happy combo. Btw I'm so sorry for the lack of posts, I feel like the last time I took pictures was ages ago- but I had limited internet access and we traveled for like 20 hrs (the city where my dad's side of the family lives is around a 10-hour-drive away from Caracas, the capital). Back to this day; after the baptism, we headed to an aunt's house to have brunch (Have I ever mentioned how big my family is? I have 16 aunts/uncles and around 100 cousins- counting my cousins and their children, and children of their chilren). I'm so excited to be a godmother, she's so precious. I asked my cousin Luja to take my pictures again, he made his debut a NK photographer last december! I hope you have an amazing week! XOXO

Vivir de una pequeña maleta es difícil, especialmente para una "bloguera de moda"- y ya que solo estuve en Venezuela unas semanitas, me llevé solo lo necesario.  Esto fue lo que utilicé para el bautizo de mi primita, en donde yo era la madrina. Originalmente quería usar una falda peplum con una camisita sencilla pero me pareció que era como muy pegadita y sentía que no era apropiado para la iglesia. Así que escogí este conjuntito colorido y alegre para la ocasión. Disculpen la falta de artículos, siento que las tenía un poquito abandonada pero estaba sin internet y viajando por Venezuela en carro (el bautizo fue en Merida, una ciudad a 10 horas de Caracas- se pueden imaginar, estuve solo dos días en Merida y 20 horas de viaje). Volviendo a la ocasión, estoy muy feliz y me siento muy orgullosa de ser la madrina de una niña tan hermosa. Después del bautizo, que fue en la mañanita, fuimos a casa de una tía donde compartí con toda la familia (¿les he mencionado que mi familia es grandísima? El otro día saque la cuenta y tengo 100 primos en total- contando hijos de primos e hijos de hijos de primos). Le pedí rapidito a un primo que le encanta la fotografía, que me tomara las fotos- terminó robándose mi cámara y terminó tomando fotos lindísimas! FELIZ SEMANA!!

This stripped sweater is one of my favorites, I wore it so much a couple of months ago that it already has its remix HERE- as you can see there I've paired it with everything, even over dresses to make them look like skirts. While I was packing in Miami, I really wanted to bring it to Venezuela to wear it with another pair of colored jeans. I wore this to run some errands with my mom- which included looking for a gift for my future-goddaughter (the baptism is tomorrow, can't wait to show you pictures). Also, we went to get a couple of skirts/dresses tailored- they had the weirdest length on me. I hope you liked this comfy look. XOXO!

Tenía tiempo sin usar este suétercito tejido- que lo usé muchísimo hace varios meses, tiene su propio remix AQUI; lo he usado con faldas, encima de vestidos y distintos pantalones de colores. Esta vez quise combinarlo con unos jeans verdes, botines y una cartera grandote. Este outfit lo utilicé para hacer diligencias con mi mamá; fuimos a la costurera a que le agarraran ruedo a varias faldas/vestidos que no había podido usar porque me quedaban de un largo rarísimo. Y luego estuvimos paseando en el centro comercial en búsqueda de un regalito para mi futura-ahijada, el bautizo es mañana - ¡ya les mostraré fotos! ¡Espero que les haya gustado este look sencillo y cómodo! ¡Un abrazo grande!
