¿Qué es " Te reto a...." ?"Te reto a..." es una sección especial en la cual nosotras ( Flor de Maria , Ashley y yo) retamos a todas las blogueras y lectoras a usar ciertas tendencias/ temas- y nos encantarÃa que nos acompañaran. Cada 15 dÃas (especÃficamente los lunes) publicaremos el reto, de manera que tengan tiempo para planificar y usar su outfit. Luego el domingo siguiente nosotras compartiremos como lo usamos nosotras y pondremos un espacio para que ustedes dejen el link de sus artÃculos/fotos.

When it comes to color-blocking, the best way to make colors pop is using complementary colors (red+green, yellow+purple... and one of my favorites: orange+blue). At first I wanted to add simple nude shoes and a nude clutch, but I decided to spice things up a little and add a faux-pantent leather clutch from Jill Milan, and some "dalmatian" shoes from "Pink&Pepper" (which are very affordable too!). I wore this to go out and have dinner with my boyfriend's family at this cute place- that I forgot the name- in Merrick Park and the food was delicious too. Btw, I'm so upset about the wrinkles in my clothing- I seriously ironed it TWICE...but car rides in Miami are not forgiving. I hope you are having a amazing Father's Day with your family (I'll be missing my dad and thinking of him the whole day). XOXO

Cuando se trata de color-blocking; para que los colores resalten, lo mejor es buscar colores que se complementen (rojo y verde, amarillo y morado... y naranja y azul!) TenÃa tiempo queriendo hacer esta combinación- al principio querÃa agregar solo unos zapatos y cartera color nude pero dije "no! vamos a hacerlo más divertido"- por eso agregué una cartera neutral pero unos zapatos como de "dálmatas" (que por cierto son de una nueva llamada "Pink&Pepper", bellos y económicos). El plan fue salir a cenar con la familia de mi novio a un sitio por Merrick Park lindÃsimo y comimos super rico. Por cierto, no tienen idea como estuve peleando con la ropa, la planché dos veces antes de salir... pero estas manejadas tan largas en Miami arrugan lo que sea. Espero que estén pasando un dÃa muy lindo con sus papás, yo estoy extrañando al mÃo de lejitos pero pensando mucho en él! Besos grandÃsimos!
Today's look is extremely simple- as you can see there's absolutely nothing out of this world (but I believe that's what makes me a real blogger, this is what I really wear- I don't dress up like other bloggers do just for the pictures and they try to make it SO high fashion- if you want to see high-fashion, buy a Vogue Magazine). I also think I'm in vacation mode and I just want to be comfortable (while trying not to melt in this heat). This outfit is full of must-have pieces (1) a light white blouse (2) denim shorts (3) comfortable nude wedges that make your legs longer (4) a bright purse. I continued doing mini-errands I had to do- like returning the shoes of the photoshoot which was A MISSION. So they wouldn't scratch during the photoshoot, we put tape on the soles... but the problem was that we couldn't take the glue completely away and the salesperson keep looking and looking and them like something was off (and I was like "what am I going to do with two pairs of neon shoes that I can't even wear because they're too big!!). But after the longest minute, I was able to get my money back! After that I went back home to change because I was going to my bf's house *his family is visiting* and I didn't know if we were going to have dinner. Hope you like this extremely simple outfit! XOXO

Hoy les traigo un outfit extremadamente sencillo- com pueden ver no hay nada del otro mundo (pero considero que eso es lo que me hace una bloguera honesta, esto es lo que me pongo de verdad. Mientras muchas solo se visten para las fotos y exageran las tendencias para ser las mega-fashionistas. También creo que en el "vacation mode" lo que me provoca es estar cómoda (mientras intento no derretirme en este calor). Este outfit esta lleno de piezas que toda mujer debe tener (1) una camisa blanca, (2) unos shorts de mezclilla (remix aquÃ), (3) plataformas color nude cómodas que alargan tus piernas ,(4) una cartera de un color llamativo. Seguà con mis mini diligencias, ¿quién dirÃa que tenÃa tantas cosas tontas que hacer!? Les voy a echar un cuento random, para la sesión de fotos NEON compré dos pares de zapatos en Aldo para devolverlos después. Para que no se rayara la suela ni nada, la forré en tape y al quitarselo... la suela quedó intacta pero llena de pega (y yo atacada porque si no me los aceptaban, no tenÃa idea que iba a hacer con zapatos 2 tallas más grandes!). Después de que la señora revisó los zapatos mil veces, me devolvieron el dinero y todo bien! Luego regresé a la casa a cambiarme porque ibamos a casa de mi novio y no sabÃa si ibamos a comer o algo- luego les enseño el outfit! Un abrazo y espero que les haya gustado este outfit sencillito!

As I've mentioned before, I'm finally on a three-week break!! (which is really exciting because my university only gives one week between quarters!). After so many projects and final exams, I just slept the WHOLE Wednesday.. and watched a marathon "Make it or break it" (yes, the inner gymnast in me will watch anything related to this sport!) But on Thursday I decided to run some errands, like start returning the clothes from the styling photoshoot and send the items I've sold on my little "store". I also finished my first tutorial of the year on how I do my daily waves, but recording and editing takes SO long! Then I headed to buy a calendar, I really need planner to keep me organized. As you can see this outfit was perfect for running errands with the oxford shoes, specially on this heat. I based the whole look around this crochet shorts- they were a gift but they came without any tag and I have no idea where they are from (I know Zara has a similar style!). Have an amazing FRIDAY!

Como les mencioné, finalmente estoy de vacaciones por tres semanas (mi uni es rara y solo da una semana entre semestres asà que tres se sienten extremadamente bien!). Después de muchos proyectos y examenes finales lo que hice fue DORMIR y VAGUEAR el miércoles junto a un maratón de "Make it or Break it" (mi gimnasta interna tiene que ver cualquier pelÃcula/show que tenga que ver con este deporte). Pero el jueves dije... no, tengo que hacer algo- asà que me vestà y me puse a hacer diligencias. Entre esas estuvieron hacer mi primer tutorial del año (las ondas que tengo en estas fotos fueron las que hice durante el VIDEO), y también incluyeron mandar muchas cositas de mi "tiendita", y empezar a devolver la ropa prestada de mi sesión de fotos "profesional." También fui a comprar una agenda, siento que la necesitaba- definitivamente es más fácil organizarse cuando anotas todo. Como pueden ver este look grita comodidad, especialmente por los oxfords- pero todo el outfit lo basé alrededor de los shorts crochet... ¿no son hermosos? (Fueron un regalo y llegaron sin etiqueta ni nada, asà que todavÃa estoy averiguando que marca son; se que Zara tiene unos muy muy parecidos). FELIZ VIERNES!!
Ok first of all I want to say sorry to all my non-spanish-speaking readers because this video is completely in Spanish (I might add subtitles if you girls like the idea). The video is basically explaining how I do my daily waves, it's very easy and all you need to know is that I use a clipless curling iron on CLEAN hair and I don't apply any product afterwards so they don't fall. I believe products, since they have water/alcohol, they really mess the wave instead of holding it! Let me know if you like the idea about the subtittles, I'm a little shy talking in front of a camera in English but I would try doing a couple in English too! XOXO

Como muchas saben, hace un tiempo -creo que dos años- hacÃa uno que otro video en youtube; y me han preguntado tanto como hacer las ondas que siempre llevo en el blog que era más fácil explicarles en un video. Si han visto los videos en mi canal de FCF, saben que nunca hablaba- sino que hacÃa "voice-overs" (que grabas y luego le pones la voz encima). Este formato es mucho más largo pero considero que es más personal y más fácil al explicar- si prefieren los videos cortitos y al grano, dÃganme.... quise experimentar con este a ver que les parecÃa! Es mi primer video de este tipo, pero poco a poco se me fue yendo a la pena! Espero que les guste el video y que sencillo de hacer. Yo les recomendé esa rizadora pero pueden hacerlo con cualquier marca, el resultado es el mismo. Un abrazo grandÃsimo!

Otro remix... esta vez on un top floreado que quiero usar una y otra vez- como pueden ver, tiene un corte asimétrico (es mas larguita por detrás) y se ve genial con pantalones, pero también puedes usar con piezas a la cintura como shorts o faldas. También puedes abotonarla hasta el final y/o agregar un collar. Cuéntame que versión es tu favorita!

So today's post is a little short (but sweet) because I still have to finish my final projects of this semester- at least after tomorrow, I have three weeks off... finally, time to relax! I wore this on Sunday to go to Amanda's place (from Capture Fashion)- all the Miami bloggers are getting together for a special photoshoot that will be the cover of the community, I'm so excited about it and I can't wait to see the final result. Amanda and her boyfriend have been shooting non-stop the past weeks all of the bloggers, I had the opportunity to be there with Steffy (Steffy's Pros and Cons) & Eugy ("The Goodwill project). After that, I went to get my computer back from Apple (after two weeks!! poor Gaby I kept stealing his to update the blog and finish the school projects!) HAVE AN AMAZING WEEK! XOXO

Hoy les escribo rapidito porque estoy en la semana final de clases y tengo muchÃsimos trabajos que entregar mañana- al menos tengo tres semanas de vacaciones, finalmente un descanso! Esto fue lo que usé el domingo para ir a casa de Amanda de Capture Fashion- todas las blogueras de Miami estamos haciendo una sesión de fotos juntas para que sea la portada de la Comunidad de blogueras de Miami, ya quiero ver como queda pero por lo que vi... va genial!! Ahi estuve con Steffy (Steffy's Pros and Cons) y Eugy ("The Goodwill project), cada una se tomo su foto y luego nos quedamos compartiendo un rato. Después de eso fui a buscar mi computadora (pueden creer que estuve dos semanas sin compu, tenÃa que usar la de Gabo para poder actualizar el blog y hacer mis proyectos de la uni). FELIZ SEMANA!! Today's post is a little different but it makes me SO proud- this was my first photoshoot as a fashion stylist. For my "Styling 2" class we had to do a professional photoshoot as the final project- which included developing a theme, finding the clothes, getting a model + photographer + makeup artists, etc. My idea was "neon" - as you can see- in a very urban location. I loved the experienced- even though we almost melted because of the sun! The model was Alexandra Homez- she is not only gorgeous, she also has amazing style... check out her blog HERE. I also want to thank the official Nany's Klozet photographer Gabriel Sanchez, because he's getting more and more amazing every day. Hoy les traigo un post un poquait diferente pero MUY muy especial para mi: mi primera sesión de fotos como estilista de moda. Fue el proyecto final para mi clase de "Styling 2" ; tenÃamos que desarrollar una visión, encontrar la modelo, buscar la ropa, el lugar, el fotógrafo, etc. Como pueden ver, el tema que escogà fue la tendencia de los neónes (especÃficamente el coral y el amarillo fosforescente). La experiencia fue buenÃsima, aunque casi nos derretimos del calor (al menos hubo sol en vez del aguacero del dÃa anterior). La modelo fue Alexandra Homez- las invito a todas a que visiten su blog, no solo es lindÃsima sino también tiene un estilo increÃble. También quiero agradecerle a Gabriel Sanchez "el fotógrafo oficial de Nany's Klozet" por su gran apoyo siempre- a 2020Ave por la ropa y a Furor Moda por los accesorios.
