Before writing this little paragraphs, I always find the links where you can find what I'm wearing. I started with the skirt and....the model is wearing the exact same way, with a long-sleeved crop top. I swear it wasn't on purpose- it might have been because the styling on the model or on mannequins at the store are the first idea we get on how to wear something (and I guess it stuck in my mind). I wore this two Saturdays ago to help Gabo at a photoshoot with the sister of one of our best friends. It was so much fun, she's amazing and their family was there..so I had a blast. Since we were on Lincoln Road, a street full of restaurants and stores, we stayed and ate Latinamerican food. Later we headed to a candy store (check out my instagram pic below!). Antes de empezar a escribir, siempre busco los links de los enlaces de las piezas. Justo ahora empiezo por la falda...y estoy usándola igual que la modelo en la página de Motel Rocks - con una camisa manga larga cortita. De verdad que no fue al propósito, aunque el estilismo de las páginas es importantísimo porque nos da la primera idea de como usar una pieza. Bueno esto lo utilicé hace dos sábados para acompañar a Gabo a una sesión de fotos para la hermana de uno de nuestros mejores amigos. Como estabamos en la Lincoln Road, calle llena de tiendas y restaurantes, nos quedamos comiendo con ellos y después pasamos por una tienda de caramelos. Un abrazo grandísimo a tod@s!




HAIRSTYLE WITH VIDAL SASSON + CHICTOPIA:



Today I'm joining Chictopia and Vidal Sassoon to showcase a fun and unique-do. After watching the Met Gala a couple of weeks ago,  where several celebrities had this deep side part and the smaller part pulled back so it looks like you shaved half of your hair, and I really wanted to try it. You just need to do a deep side part and twist the smaller side and pin it back. I also curled my hair a little to give it dimension ( I used Vidal Sasson's heat protectant first), and I added a Vidal Sasson's hairspray to keep everything in place.

This was another of the looks from the video "We live, we blog, we dance...."- I liked a lot too so I saved it to wear it later. I haven't posted until know because I was planning to wear it again in NYC- but the weather is not cooperating with me haha. I wore this a couple of months ago to go to a Clarins event with latina bloggers (I'm sure you guessed it was a while ago because of the not-ombre hair). I have been trying the Clarins products so wait for a BeautySunday about them. Gabo is visiting me here in NYC until tomorrow and we have been taking pictures like crazy- but I don't know why, I've been wearing so much B&W...there's definitely something about New York that makes you wear darker colors. Este fue otro de los looks del video "We live, we blog, we dance...." que me gustó tanto que lo guarde para usarlo luego. Esto lo utilicé hace ya unos meses (como pueden ver por el cabello mucho más largo y sin las mechas californianas) para ir a un evento de la marca de belleza Clarins. Ahí aprendí pequeños truquitos sobre como aplicar las cremas y también he estado probando varios productos que ya les contaré en un "BEAUTYSUNDAY". No se porque desde que llegué a Nueva York he estado usando tanto blanco y negro... hay algo de esta ciudad que te hace querer usar colores más sobrios (al menos a mi me pasa). Gabo ha estado desde la semana pasada visitándome y hemos tomado muchísimas fotos pero quiero intercalarlas porque son todos looks B&W . No fueron planeados, creo que fue por traer la menor cantidad de ropa posible y que combinara toda entre si. Pero bueno...espero que tengan una bonita semana!! Un abrazo inmenso!

As I've mentioned in the past; this has been one of the longest "Miami Winters" (not the coldest...but definitely the longest with cool temperatures). For the first time I have been experimenting with light layers and wearing more jackets than usual. This leopard dress is very tight and short...so I tried making it more casual (less sexy) with a fun cargo jacket and tights. Since the leopard print is so bold, I kept the accessories to the minimum...well except for one of my favorite hats. I'll be arriving in NYC shortly...so stay tuned for my new adventures around the city. I'll be there around 10 weeks to do my internship for school (not sure if I can see exactly where, but it's at an amazing magazine). Hope you enjoy your weekend! XOXO

Como les he estado contando; creo que este ha sido uno de los "inviernos" más largos de Miami  (no el más fuerte, pero si definitivamente uno bastante fresco y por bastante tiempo). Lo cual por primera vez me ha dado la oportunidad de experimentar un poquito con las capas y usar más chaquetas de lo que estoy acostumbrada. Este vestido de leopardo por su cuenta es bastante sexy y cortito - razón por la que intenté hacerlo más casual para no caer en lo vulgar. Como el leopardo es tan llamativo, mantuve los accesorios al mínimo...bueno excepto uno de mis sombreros favoritos. Dentro de poquitico llego a Nueva York para hacer la pasantía en una revista...síganme por instagram o twitter @nanysklozet para estar pendiente de todo lo que pasa. Today's is supposed to be "wednesday remix"- but I have so many look to post that I really don't want them to keep piling up (don't  worry, the next remix will be double....maybe a couple of tops/bottoms and all the ways I've worn them). Talking about post, I really want to do a Holiday special; so I need your help. I want to do several looks for several styles and different occasions/parties.... so tell me: what are you plans for this Holiday season? OK let's go back to this outfit. I want to wear this skirt all the time- I feel like it goes with everything but the faux leather gives any outfit an edgy/modern feel. This time I wanted to pair it with a top with an embellished peter-pan collar (so you don't need to accessorize in terms of earrings/necklaces). So I kept the look relatively simple- I say "relatively" because if you look closely, the shoes and handbag have sequins/studs. I wore this during the weekend to have an early romantic dinner with Gabo- I like that this look is very feminine but it still have an edge to it. I hope you are having an amazing week! XOXO

Se que hoy se supone que sea "Miércoles de Remix" pero no quiero que se sigan acumulando los looks- luego les hago un mega remix con varias piezas y todas las formas que las he usado (¿qué prefieren: camisas o faldas?). Ya que se acerca diciembre, quiero hacer un especial de Navidad/fiestas decembrinas... así que necesito la ayuda de todas: diganme que planes tienes!! (Así puedo hacer varios looks para ocasiones totalmente distintas). Ok, de regreso a este outfit... estoy segura que le voy a sacar tanto provecho a esta falda de "cuero"- me parece que va con absolutamente todo y por supuesto, el cuero la hace más moderna y divertida. En esta ocasión la quise combinar con una camisa con el cuello de peter pan embellecido- lo que hace que no necesites ningún accesorio extra. Así que mantuve el resto del look relativamente sencillo- digo "relativamente" porque aunque son piezas sencillas como zapatos negros y carterita negra, también tienen sus lentejuelas y detalles. Esto lo utilicé el fin de semana para ir a cenar temprano con Gabo- es un look que mezcla lo delicado/romántico con piezas fuertes como el cuero y las tachas. Every time somebody asked me about my style, I'd say that it's feminine- but lately I realized I have a rocker alter-ego that loves leather pieces and darker lipstick. And that's okay, we should never get stuck in one style...it's fun to experiment and try new things (and clothing is not as permanent as a new hair color). This looks is actually from two Sundays ago, I don't know why I have so many looks that I haven't posted...but that's good, right? I wore it to walk around the city, have smoothies- and then I changed to flats to take Chiki to a doggie park ( I always have to be running around because he falls in love with every single dog and he leaves with them). I did the look around the "Pretty Kitty leopard shorts" from Lulus- I added the simple tank to make the outfit more casual, and the faux leather jacket because it was a little bit breezy out. Btw I added the lipcolor number and everything below because I always get asked about that. I hope you liked the look and this rocker side of me! XOXO

En las últimas semanas me he dado cuenta que tengo un alter ego medio roquero- o full rocker, depende de los gustos. Entre tanta ropa femenina, me he dado cuenta que me gusta experimentar con piezas de cuero y pinturas de labio más oscuritas. Pero esa es la idea, nunca debemos encasillarnos en un estilo...nunca tengas miedo de experimentar y expresarte con la ropa. Se me han ido acumulando los looks, no se porque pero este outfit es de hace dos domingos- que salimos a pasear por la ciudad y después me cambié los zapatos a flats para llevar a Chiki a un parque de perritos por donde vivo (los flats no es tanto por comodidad, sino porque Chiki se enamora de todos los perritos y se me escapa... si yo soy la loca en el parque corriendo atrás del perro). El look lo hice alrededor de estos shorts de leopardo "Pretty Kitty"- agregué una camiseta blanca sencilla para mantenerlo cómodo y como estaba un poco fresco, terminé el look con la chaqueta de "cuero" (abajo también les deje la información de la pintura de labios, que siempre me preguntan).
